I was screwing around, as always, Corribus.
But now that you mention it, lecturing someone on semantics while pretty much ignoring the rest of what they said is hardly any more to-the-point (or, as you scientifically put it, smart) than similarly lecturing someone on logic.

What makes you reliable?Seriously, read the stuff that is linked.Check the link for its reliability.
There is a reason to doubt in history, even more so to the 'Insert sate here' government. We are not talking about science here, but about humans.Point is,this thread is full BS.
If you want to joke on conspiracy theories, create a specific thread to it and enjoy it.I dont think this is appropriate in a 'Lets remember victims' thread.
One thing I am amazed here is the 'Haha,I know it all' BS. Very mature lads.Keep doing so and you will earn an experts degree in trolling.

For you, del_diablo: http://www.forskning.no/artikler/2011/september/298661
I haven't been able to find an english version. I'm not saying the above is correct, I'm just saying that despite the public accepted theory might be somewhat unlikely to be true due to certain observation, it does not in any way mean the only alternative explanation is a conspiracy.
Concluding upon data, which one would normally link to man-made explosions, to be explosion is doing the same mistake, one criticized the public accepted theory for. There's still a clear lack of uniqueness, i.e. showing it's the only possible solution.
In other words, in my opinion, when people don't accept the unexplained, or don't find the explanation satisfying, it's positive, because it opens up for a deeper and better understanding. Yet, when the same people then goes and conclude something must be absolutely true, despite having no sufficient evidence, it closes the doors of understanding and position people in a situation a find analogous to extrimism.

Yes it probably was the wind that made the towers collapse.... since it surely cant have been the jet fuel. I mean it was the first steel frame building to ever collapse due to a "fire".

How they got 300 million americans to believe the evil "TERRIST" did it and how they then started a war with iraq without finding any WMDs... and why americans are not burning down the white house right now... I dont get.
Either americans are not real or they are really, really dumb.

My God, there are so many... 9/11 - Ten Years Later, People Still Brainwashed. You deserve it lads. Ignorance is bliss.
Ph.D Corribus giving lessons on physics. Tell me, doc, since when did heat + pressure + w/e else you might invoke produce clean cuts in steel that happen to look like they were made by usage of termite? Please explain me how there was MELTED steel in the debris with temperature way above kerosen levels? I'm sickened by your ignorance and the arrogance that comes with it.
@Dagoth - There are a number of details that escape you. First, dogs were removed 5 days prior to the event. Sec, there was a power shortage in that weekend that removed camera surveillance, while workers were running around doing things unobserved. Thirdly, security was administrated by Bush. Fourthly, the buildings were evacuated several times in the weeks prior to the event. I say it's enough space for setting bombs.

Sure, go ahead and tell everyone they're stupid for being part of the norm...
Joke aside. It's my experience that if you post for others to read, then to get others to read, it's not a good idea to alienate everyone before even presenting your arguments.
I imagine provocation works well when addressing e.g. hormone driven teenagers who have little emotional control, and therefore can't separate insults based on the context, but here I think it may have the opposite effect.
It may link the username to the uncomfortable feeling and suddenly you risk only talking to yourself.

Its so easy to be a conspiracy theorist. All you have to do is doubt something, not look up the evidence or claims made by the opposition or deny the evidence, and off you go.
If you want answers and be smart, look what the opposition or what other scientists say about this instead of hearing propaganda by one guy with a phd about this issue.
You know, its been 10 years since the incident. There are even peer reviewed scientific papers on the subject. Read...
From your attitude, I bet you believe the moon landing was fake aswell?

@Ohforf - While you have a point there, I find that trading the truth for a lie is more enraging. I've stated this before, there is nothing that makes me more angry than willingly ignorant people. There is enough evidence to at least dismiss the official story so ardently promoted everywhere.

It was never about conspiracy theories, I'm genuinely looking for truth. And I am approaching things in that manner that you said. I watched a lot of debates and read a lot of stuff. There is no way in hell WTC would collapse in the way it did just by being hit by a plain. And all lines of evidence point in that direction. Witnesses, everything...
As for the moon landing. I am skeptical but did not take a position.
Edit: Also, if you could share those peer reviewed scientific papers with me I'd appreciate.

I think it's a lot like real life (except sometimes there are trolls who pretend to be something they are not). There is a group of people who can, even if they disagree, agree to disagree within some common ground because they follow some logical, rational standards and they have a sense of decency about it. Then, there are the ones who cant do that either because they lack the formation to or they simply dont care. As in real life, the ones who are more capable of being skeptical and open minded about even their own arguments are the first group, UNLESS they are facing members from the other group. When that happens, your hands get tied in a way, because the instruments of rationality are lost. And when that happens it turns into a clash of egos, since none of us are robots.

why would it turn into a clash of egos? if you feel there is no way to have a real discussion with the other person, why bother to convince him?
