This happened to me in Map 4 of the Haven campaign.  At first I thought they were telling me that I was taking too long and therefore no more creatures would be available.. but then I realized it was a bug lol.  I'm not sure what causes this

Seriously, this bug has been in there from the start of the beta (probably even earlier) and they still did nothing to fix it. Unacceptable and inexcusable.

in inferno campaign, the game keep crashing whenever I press "H" or double click on the hero's image to access to the hero's inventory

Magic Affinity III reads: "Regenerates 2 Mana each turn in the first 10 rounds of the combat"

I think the statement should be "Regenerates 2 % of Mana each turn ..."

because 2 mana x 10 turns = 20 mana per combat at lvl 25 really doesn't worth the skill point spending.

Always the same bug with fortification bonus. Playing Anton campaign map4, first week ok, but then second week, after a "quicksave" the game forgot this bonus and all previous saves corrupted except begin of 2nd week. So I load that save and play again from there saving manually each day. Day 2 second week bonus still ok (just the lv7 is growth 1 but I think it's specific to the campaign). So I made a quicksave and after loading again the game forgot again the bonus but this time the save that worked is corrupted too .  Ok, that's irritating, I better play and forget about that bonus, I'll live longer .

Problem with Vestal's pacify ability. When a unit gets pacified, and you hover the cursor over before attacking with another unit, it doesn't say that it will retaliate. This is regardless of if the unit has retaliated before or not. The problem is that if the unit didn't retaliate earlier, it does, when the pacifism is broken, even though it doesn't say so in the hover-over-tip.

There's a significant problem with some dynasty weapons not being shown in hero's inventory. I tried unequipping the Iron Feather (I think that's its name) in Anton's second mission, and it just disappears.

That's an impressive list of bugs on the OP, eeeish.

Some of the stuff are more realistically forgivable, but really, things like unit abilities not working or luck not working is just mind blowing, how can that not be spoted? espeically with only 5 factions!!

Reminds me of how Ash can't spot team rocket no matter how bad the disguise is. They even have a talking cat ffs.

Haven's 'Mark of the Heretic' ability for the hero's attack doesn't show the numeric value of the increased damage when you look at it, it just shows 'Y'.

No, you have 10 save slots that can be used by both auto-saves and manual saves. An auto-save will never overwrite a manual save, so if you use a manual save for each campaign, that would let you 5 slots for the auto-saves.


This is not correct. I have 10 slots EACH for manual saves and player saves, for both campaign and skirmish modes. (Which are tracked seperately). So, in total, you are supposed to have 20 autosave slots being tracked and up to 20 player saves... 10 for the campaign mode and 10 for skirmish mode.

I am not saying this from memory; I just booted up the game and I have 40 individual saved games being tracked by the Conflux. If you cannot get to this total you are bugged.

For the record: I have 1) always played in online mode (connected to the Conflux) and 2) I have not yet tried to play a multiplayer game against human opponents. From the bug reports that I have seen, it looks like playing offline and / or multiplayer can bugger your saves.

The +25 blood only happened in the demo/beta....all you had to do was go onto the battle....

Blood points only increase when you:

- let neutrals flee
- use blood spells/abilites in combat
- complete quests giving you blood

You can't fight battles to simply increase blood....not sure if this answers you question or or it's a genuine bug for you....


As an FYI: what happened was that you probably loaded a saved game. Before I upgraded to the 1.1.1 patch, whenever I did that in a skirmish game it completely disabled any further gains of blood/tears rep for both me and the AI. It hasn't happened to me since patching.

EDIT: for some of the folks who are experiencing item problems try this: unequipping the item to your inventory then re-equipping.

The Snatching Gloves work if you do this, if you don't they will not.

This also works quite often with Dynasty weapons. It seems that there are multiple conditions where the game can lose track of the fact that you have one equipped. Danger points seem to be when your hero levels up, your weapon levels up, loading from a save game or moving on to the next map in a campaign.

This will NOT work for the Stonefist Libram though. That artifact gives the 250 extra gold, but it is supposed to give you some sort of Architect effect as well and gives you none of them. I suspect that the problem is literally indicated in the item description. The item says that it provides the hero with the effect of the "Architect" ability. But since there is no plain old "Architect", only ones with the qualifier I, II or III no effect is provided. If this is the case, the fix will be easy enough: just add the proper suffix to the item properties in the code.

glitch

HMMMM....so i have been patiently sifting thru the complaints about glitches and i cant seem to find my problem anywhere!!! so does anyone know what the problem with my situation is?
It has happened to me twice now in two seperate campaigns...in sanctuary and stronghold....whenever that dragon appears and the graphic scene shows up...my screen goes really dark...to the point that i cant play the game or see where im going...hopefully someone can tell me what to do...i dont feel like playin all the campaigns on hard i just want to finish them all...hope someone helps

Not really a bug but I would say a bad implementation of the autosave feature. There are 10 autosaves and 10 normal saves but when you realize something wrong (bad growth in towns for example) and want to check older autosaves the game automatically makes a "new" autosave for just loading an old autosave. That means that you are not able to see all autosaves since they are overwritten as they are loaded.

Also 10 saves is really low while you can have complete repertories of them in previous editions (H3 and H4 principally). After playing all the campaigns I don't have any backup save that I want to recall (a special fight, a save before a big decision path, etc,..). Only my memory and it will fade away quickly. I understand the saves online storage capacity is limited but there must be another way for players that don't play vs other players to store the saves in their PC at leisure.

I would like to ask official permission from the folks on this forum to include their data (with proper attribution) into the v 1.1.1 master bug list on the Ubi forum.

I spent the last 3 days actually doing the work... the new revised combined list of (non campaign, non scenario, non technical) bugs went from 20 pages long in Word 2010 to 35 pages long, so it is a fairly large difference.

The new list is just waiting your say-so to post.

I noticed that when Griffins get morale, they will get two extra actions, but there's nothing in their abilities that says anything about it. Bug?

I have started playing the necro campaign. I picked 'snatch' for Anastasya and it worked as it should for a while. Then I picked up (and automatically equipped) that Vagrant's set glove which gives snatch. Since I already have the skill I gave it to my secondary hero and apparently her natural snatch no longer work from there on, even in later maps where she doesn't start with or find the glove.

P.s. How do carry over artifacts work anyway, do you get to keep set items between maps whenever you find them in the campaign?

I agree with that, I don't expect unlimited saves from a cloud based storage thing but they should give more than 10 auto /10 normal. Autosaves shouldn't be rewritten whenever we load either.

Also, would love to have the option to choose between having autosaves before or after end turns. I always prefer the oldskool 'before' autosave for whenever you skip town building or moving heroes, but starting from HV, autosaves just automatically done after turns...I think.
