Lore is supposed to provide some immersion but one has to wonder how much his too much. Next thing we'll be learning the creatures' favourite sex positions and the bedtime stories they grew up with.

I rather think the problem is that we, as people who are not in charge of or tasked with creating new content/lore, shouldn't do so. It's not our job to fill in the information gaps left, especialy with any insane bollocks we might come up with. And if we cannot help ourselves and we do so, firmly state that this is your thought-process and/or opinion and that you are, in fact, speculating wildly. Unless you have facts to back things up with, which you should state.

Harpies are ugly hag like creatures, sirens are beautiful counterparts, why they changed all this? Good! Warcraft messed it up like they did with everything, like sissy minotaurs, dog like kobolds and beautiful harpies... And now all the other SLAVE-OF-BLIZZARD compagnies are following that same example because they have no imagination of their own.

Not really as their portrayal isn't suggestive or snowty - it was just a design choice to change the scene a bit. H5 dungeon on the other hand..

Actually Sirens looked like harpies in Greek Mythology - they had wings, claws and they preyed on doomed sailors who were charmed by their voice.
Just look at Sirens in H2 - that how they should look like.

ONE thing that just came up my mind.. What if Ubi just teases us and the faceless will be a neutral. Two different form like the wolves have?
And that is what I find so utterly boring about this ashan stuff and black hole instead of the old compagnie...
Everything is done true some ritual that must be seen in every town...
1: Every town should at least have 2 female (mostly sexy) units, the only exception is the breeder, thank Allah for that unit.
2: Every town must have some elemental god/stuff whatever, it gets so boring after a while... Really like all the towns catghered around the round table and shared the different elemental gods between them, you take the fire god, you take the water god, we take the order god and we take the chaos god... yeah right...
3: Every town must have some color theme, like all these tough and evil creatures from dungeon come together and deside to wear purple/black because it looks cool! Really insane...

And if they create female minotaurs I will probably buy the game to ritually feed it to my goats.

Problem with female Minotaur is the name: "taur" = Latin "taurus" or BULL.
So a female Minotaur would have to be called Minobos, if my Latin serves me right, because "bos" = Latin for COW.
That's of course interesting with the plural: female Minotaurs would be the Minobosses which seems to be rather cute naming here - especially if that in reverse makes everyone think about the Latin COW when calling someone "Boss".
I think, female Minotaurs or Minobosses might be an interesting spectacle to behold, and be it only for the fun of seeing all the outrage this would create.

Color affinities was the designers choice to make each race distinct, recognizable at first glance. I see that you have a problem with sexy females, and I for one would have a problem with every unit being an ugly wretch like harpies in Heroes 4 which face resembled my math teachers face. Also each race has a clean set of rules, symbols etc. to make things easier to pick up and for each player to find his favorite faction based on their characteristics. It's nothing new, but also nothing to tear clothes for. Not all players like to dwell on each little tiny detail and even if the do, they can always use other sources or use their imagination. The rest will be satisfied with a basic set of rules for the games lore. Each race based on a dragon god? And what are we if not civilizations based on some kind of religion...
I see that you have your vision of Heroes games based on Heroes III, and everything that's not Heroes III is bah! for you. Sorry to say it to you, but Heroes VI is NOT Heroes III. For some, Heroes III was the end of the series so they play it or find things like WoG mod. That's their decision. If only a 1% of fantasy games were designed (plot, characters etc.) just the way I like it I would be in heaven...

Well, yes, bos is more the general "cow" - the bovine. Vacca is indeed more like it - but Minovac isn't as good as Minobosses.
On the other hand - if you had both Minotaurs and Minovacs you could call them Minobosses as a general term for them.

If only they could reduce the insane number of female units, the kidsy colours, the warcraft and warhammer wannabee-niveau and the dragon gods from ashan I would love ashan like I love my sheep.
And Elvis works for Black Hole doesn't he/she? Moderator = black hole worker if i'm not mistaken?
I think that laughing smily indeed means they are gonna get crazy and give us a female minoTAUR, they thought the female centaur wasn't bad enough so they just made the minotaur female as wel, because warcraft has female minocows and it looks SOOOO awesome and cool! (not)

But they all look alike, the glory, the water spirit, the yuki onna, the priest... Really so not need, I can name 10.000 water creatures that could take the water females place.
Also now that I've seen the pictures for the 10..0000 time, I can officily say that I forgot about the undead sphinx thing, so i'm not happy to see manticore in this line-up as it probably is a copy of the undead sphinx thing lammasu wannabe whatever.
Rather seen a unique hydra or other creature that isn't a cheap copy... we already have a undead lion we don't need a living copy of it...
The only creature in this lineup i'm really diggin is the evil eye thing, hopefully not named beholder.
