I think they overdid this in H6. H5 also had clear racial themes without having the creatures look like complete colour clones of each other.
Also about Eugene_Xaars picture... do we really know that the Drags are going to look like that? I'd personally hate them to be copies of Cate.

i have a feeling that assassins will be an elite unit just like the snow girl from sanctuary. i mean, they are not being random at revealing units, they started with core all the way up, i would be very upset if minotaurs are core creatures seriously

actually that dragon is old artwork and Eugene is wrong on his site too (he thinks Minotaurs are core creatures when they are elites)
if you use google translate, it's also clear that it is speculation on his part

The artwork is pure speculation. As Ad poited it, these are poorly cut layers from other artworks and put on a background.

I seriously hope that BD will get a distinctive look then this copy-pasted H6 Boss. I didn't like this design, maybe it's good for a boss (as a purely elemental/half-god entity), but imo Black Dragons (if they make it to the final game) should look more like living creatures, your traditional friendly neighborhood fantasy-cliche dragons

What's this Lamia thing that never made it to the final game, only on the T-Shirt. It just a Daughter of Malassa boss without wings, yet it's called the Lamya god in Collectors Edition description...

We all know that the developers have been lazy with water and light elementals but I seriously doubt they will outright copy Malassa for a puny black dragon.
Faceless will be champion and I know this because I am awesome and if I am wrong I am going to kill my cat... nine times!

I think they based the Boss Dragon model on Malassa artwork, that's why they look the same imo...

You may want to take an option on a new cat then. Just in case.
Personally, I think Marzhin, Elvin and JJ have made enough references to the certainty of Black Dragons being the Champions.

i wouldn't be surprised with 'little Sarah' model, it's there it fits so why not sue it, bet they are tight on time/resources as per usual
just hope that the standalone/expansion will fix some of many bugs we have in game not just add couple of models and spells
