Contrary, Sheltem should have much better stats. But that's not related to the SW Mod specifically.

Considering your last words, I guess we'll see the Forge in a sub-related mod, not on SW.

Yeah, it's really possible. I enjoyed drawing it. Unlike many H3 factions concepts, the Forge fits to H2 style quite nicely. For example, HotA's Cove town would not be able to be so easily transfered to H2 style without the loss of 100% recognition.
We will see what will happen with WoG 3.59 and VCMI platforms in future.
I expected much negative impression from people when I posted that on 1st April. However, a lot of people just said that they regret it's just an April's fool instead. That was a surprise.
For now this castle stand as a fanart, but if I will be still alive and kicking in future, I guess an entire faction can be created for a standalone minimod, for people who don't care so much about the 100% lore satisfaction.

While the Heavenly Forges wouldn't work in the storyline, something based on the Oracle of Enroth or the Tomb of VARN could work.

Everything can be used as an excuse if it's really wanted to be used. I guess, a new storyline could be created anytime with the use of 'time travelers' and such.
The problem is that H2 is a fairy-tale. So I guess we will stick to the further campaign concept of SW-Mandate of Heaven-New Enrothian History, leaving the Forge as a standalone downloadable faction probably. There will be already new towns, new campaigns and anything else. At least, they are planned.
The Heretic faction will emerge with the first new campaign of the new section named The Mandate of Heaven. There will be a lot of new developments in the 'official version' attracting people without the questionable sci-fi aspect.
And yeah, did I post this new Devil worksheet?

When I saw these screens above,I thought not about the Devil, but about the pit lord.
I mean it seems like a walking troop,not a flying/teleporting one.

I've been playing a while and this is amazing! Still have some crashes but autosave is very useful.
I have some questions:
1) did you change how dmg is calculated? it seems like most creatures have very low attack/defense
2) how do I make cheats work?
3) is this mod still in progress?
Thanks for this! it's really great!

No, this is a work-in-progress concept, and I think the Kreegan Devil will teleport as well as H3 Devils.
And yeah, just play MM6 if you didn't.

1. Yes, currently the open mod version from January, 2013 is strongly outdated. Many stats are rebalanced, and some new creatures will appear to replace the placeholders. For example, the Beholder will go to Warlock domain and will have another look.
2. Do a search in google about WoG cheats - they differ from classic H3 cheats. I forgot them, unfortunately, as I very rarely use them.
3. Of course. You can track our progress in this thread and also on our Russian forum branch, where the discussion is the most alive.

Thank you! one last question, I want to make a map ( if that's OK) and I'm worried about future releases. If you change/add creature stats will I be able to edit the map in the future? Or must I start from scratch at each update ?
Also I found sound bugs ( the most annoying one being that I can't choose which creatures to put on hero in the beginning ) should I post them somewhere?

Yes, unit final release there can be some changes. So if you want to use non-random placed creatures, you will be correcting map as SW progress goes on.

Starting armies are corrected on start of map by ERM script (creatures IDs are changed by SW mod, so script changes starting armies forcebly).

Yeah, some of the creatures in the map editor are currently mixed up (mummies with owlbears, some others), and also there are a lot of questionable artifacts. However, if you will use only the random monsters/artifacts, this problem won't be so important.
The creature order in the editor is going to be fixed, probably in the next mod release.
Also note that some object passabilities are also wrong and you will have to fix them manually (using Spacebar in Wmaped.exe). However, I suspect that when we will fix them, the map will need revising for the next version anyway.
Currently we work on many directions to improve the mod, so the next version will drastically differ from what it is now.

Yes I noticed. Also the map editor crashed when I use the blank artifacts. I want to remake the life of adventure campaign but it's a lot of work. I'm still deciding to release the demo or wait for your next update... To make it playable I will need to constantly update the map to make it work with new versions.
I didn't play H3 in a while but your mod got me so excited like a little girl! I'm 5 hours in and slowly the map is taking shape, it's a cool feeling.

Good to hear. You are probably the first inspired to try the current editor (aside from our official H1-2-3 map conversions). I wish you best luck in your endeavor, pretty interested what will come in the end.
Actually, in the final version we will provide additional portraits for mapmakers to use, like H1 Maximus, some old-school MM references and all that.
Moreover, the WoG nature of the mod also allows map scripting for advanced users, which is an advantage.

I just uploaded the 0.1 version !! It's challenging because the calculations are different. I wonder if you could tell me how the primary skills work. Damage is difficult to figure out. In the same time I like it very much because I can make very interesting battles. 3 lvl 3 /4 creatures with a good hero can destroy a lot in this mod so I hope it won't be boring towards the end.
I don't know ERM but I will improvise , hope to make a really cool map for other fans!

Also, if you need help with the mod I'm happy to help! I don't know programming but I could do the simple stuff to make your website more user friendly.
Examples: Make a list of all the artifacts, upgraded creatures, spells etc I would be happy to help!

Thank you a lot for your interest, but the artifact list etc. is still in development as currently the mod is in the beta stage and we recently got a lot of programming help.
We are actually in need of mapmakers (more precisely - the people who can convert H1, H2 and/or H3 maps to the mod (wog) format). If you are interested, we can proceed with the discussion via email: orzieorzie@gmail.com.

Honestly I start to think that I suck at making maps. Nobody said anything in my thread... Also i'm not a very good heroes player, it seems balancing is a heck of a task!
Anyway, I'm working hard and the map is getting better each day. I don't know for sure what kind of help do you need but I may try in converting some small maps to see how it goes!
My Email is not working but if we can't talk here than I will make a new one! just tell me what to do and I will do it, i'm really liking the mod!
