I can't even begin to describe with words what that video makes me feel. Seriously, listening to that music -some of the best in the history of videogames- and watching those graphics is precious precious precious.

I am out of words to define it. Just.... THANKS!! The new knight looks also very nice, in his eternal fight against paladins --or champions, whatever they are called, the ones with the golden armour.

Well, thanks a lot. Actually the destiny of the Death Knight is being decided currently. I would like to have him as a 5 lvl Necromancer tanky unit, with Vampire moved to 4th and Lich staying on the 6th (having him there is better I think, Enrothian Liches are something different from the ones native to Antagarich).

However, there is a big argument about the position of Ghosts in the Gipsy castle. Every 4th or 5th visitor wonders why the snow we put the Ghost to a castle filled with non-undead. Although I like the idea of Gipsy castle as H2 neutrals and fully support Ghosts as Gipsy creatures, the opinions differ both amongst the team and the mod followers.

So that, counting the general amount of Gipsy Ghost antagonists, I am afraid that the result is not on my side and most probably the Ghost will be moved back to the undead, regardless of the factors that Desert setting is the most appropriate for them (Dead City + H2 Neutrals + Desert background for the unit in H2).



I have got a compromise solution, though. Ghosts without their unique ability are really boring. So that I propose the Ghosts as pure neutrals without an ability to hire them in-game, but with the salvation of their unique ability without any tweaks, nerfs or adjustments. This will allow to convert many H2 scenarios in their pure form. Probably, there can be a summoning spell working for mines and/or battle, similar to Elementals.

I really don't want to reject the Death Knight unit on a regular basis. Imagining the flying, shooting, toilet-cleaning or whatever Death Knight makes me feel sad.

IMHO Ghosts fits perfectly to the Desert. Compromise solution works.

The main problem I have with this is that the Vampire will look too strong for a level 4 creature. Compare him then to a lvl 5 Swordman for example. Also the Death Knight will look too weak as a lvl 5 creature. He already looks somewhat as powerful as the Crusader. He should be at least a level 6 creature. But then, we also need to remember that animating is going to take a very, very long time. The Death Knight's design still needs some fixing.

I have no problem with the Ghost being in the desert environment, but I think that the Vampires lvl 4 position and Death Knight's lvl 5 is wrong and should be thought out.

hello i just tried to install this mod and it worked alltough on your site the instructions say to install ERA2 over "CLEAN"SOD/compleate ver.

well my folder is far from clean .... it worked! but there is problem i can play this only in campaign, when i clic single scenario i get this error-"acces violation attepmt to read data" also in instructions for installation "Run h3era go to 'New Game' and press the 'Options' button"
i cant find this "Options" button

can it be cuz i didnt install it over a clean sod/compleate ver. ?

is that its still beta ver. only campaings are available to play?

anyone with similar problem? or any help

Do you have HMM3: Horn of the Abyss installed? If so, just use this file:

HOTA MAPS PATCH FOR ERA 2

You may probably face problems with RoE maps, but definitely no crash when Hota maps are in. More complex patch requires releasing dll and is skipped until next version.

If the problem is still present, I would recommend to just use Heroes Complete from GoG.com and install Era over it. Everything should be perfect.

Just started playing, and I really like the witch castle.

I've also played warlock and wizard(they were my favorite Heroes 2 castles)and as usual I liked them. Fortress was my favorite Heroes 3 castle, and I like the witch castle even more.

I HAVE noticed enemies are hiring heretic heroes, therefore ending up with imps, gogs and heck hounds(shouldn't they be hell hounds?)which is annoying, seeing as the imps and heck hounds defs are unfinished.

In total, I really like this mod.

Don't worry, things are being polished, and the next release will have all of problems like that fixed. For now you can just wait for the Extra Map Pack release where we plan to block all Heretic heroes (for the time being, as Heretic castle is undone currently).

Heretic faction will appear later, close to the 1.0 release or even a bit later.

The games not letting me hire black dragons, I have the option to hire green dragons, red dragons and...green dragons.

The upgrade is built, but the option to hire black dragons is replaced by green, even though that option is already there.

Also, I can't upgrade my red dragons to black dragons.

Edit: I left the town screen and entered again, this seems to have fixed it. Weird.

Edit again: Its happened again...and this time exiting the town screen isn't fixing it...

Also, I ran into some mummies(Playing a random map)that on the map look like heroes 3 mummies but in battle look like heroes 1 minotaurs.

These problems will be fixed in the coming release. We are aware that the Black Dragon issue hasn't been coded correctly. About the H1 Minotaurs, turn off the commanders in the Options and save. Should fix it, I hope.

Russian 'Buka' version with WOG 3.58 works well.

Wow...never thought that using a somewhat different version of Heroes Complete could cause a glitch like that picture.

I'm probably gonna turn off commanders, the heroes 1 defs doesn't look good with the heroes 2 defs(atleast I don't think it does).

I agree, I never use any of the WoG options. I didnt want them in the first place, but some players still want to use them. They might be removed completely in the next release and a seperate file for download will be available with all the options. This way, you can choose which one you want to download.

The Succession Wars Mod is Era-based for over 1 year by the current moment. I recommend anyone to download Heroes Complete just to prevent constant 'bug-reports' which happen due to wrong installation actions. Ah, Era is not very convenient on that point.

Of course. They should only Hate Undead, including the Ghosts probably.

If crusaders are supposed to do more damage to ghosts, it hasn't been added yet. Mine only show as doing more damage to skeletons, zombies, owlbears(suspect mummies would replace that), ghouls, vampires, lichs, bone dragons and ghost dragons. No ghosts.

Also, I think death knights should be tier 6 necromancer unit, with lichs being tier 5 and vampires tier 4. I do like the idea of him though.

Edit: I just looked at my troops morale, and whats effecting it...+3 from expert leadership(expected)and...+1 from Brutes in group? I don't have any brutes with me, and neither does the enemy. I didn't even know brutes GAVE a morale bonus.
