Many MM4-5:World of Xeen players remember this character very well, no less than Heroes of Might and Magic: A Strategic Quest fans.
In Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Succession Wars Mod you will be able to meet Arturius the Knight once again. Through the years Arturius' look changed considerably, and he had become much more experienced up to the beginning of the Second War of the Enrothian Succession.

The recent work includes the creation of brand new polished portraits for heroes.
Many more are coming soon, for the next mod version will have the renewed hero lineup.
Now can you guess their classes looking at them?

Does it work with Heroes of Might and Magic 3 vanilla campaigns? I am in the 2nd scenario of the second episode of Erathia's campaign (Devilish Plans) and I love Heroes of Might and Magic 2 art style.
I'd switch in a jiffy if I knew it is fully compatible with my current savegame.

It's compatible if you launch classic H3 saves in the mod, but not intended to be used like that completely. There will be new campaigns dedicated to the events of HMM2, and, consequently, Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven. The Succession Wars Mod aims to become something more like a global expansion with new features, yet with the same concept of total conversion. The scale of the project is intended to be close to Horn of the Abyss, but dedicated to Enroth continent and using HMM2 graphic style and HMM2 basics, mostly.
Otherwise if you launch classic campaigns you risk to get female Christian or many other inconsistencies.

Our favourite Crusader now has an antipode!
This concept should be already familiar to Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven fans. It is the Cuisinart (the Black Knight).
The exact purpose and destiny of this creature are being defined.

Too bad, I liked the idea of adding it to Inferno lineup, and Necropolis lineup was overcrowed anyway

Heretic faction will have its own creatures. As for the Necromancer, this knight risks to be put as a WoG Commander if the question with Ghosts will be solved in Necromancer's advantage.

The mod now has the official YouTube channel.
For those who did not install The Succession Wars Mod, we have prepared a short gameplay video showing the developments of the latest open beta version (January, 2013).
Note that this version is strongly outdated as there is already a real LOT of new stuff, like graphics, bugfixes and certain features, which will be present in the next open version.
