I mean, it's either her or the woman who decimated several trade cities and doesn't give a snow about how the world is run. You can talk about neutrality as long as you want, but when someone looks like they are about to mess with your power, you try and stop them.
It's funny really. I've been saying that the show has done downhill and just isn't itself anymore for a couple of seasons, but when we get to the episode that everyone hates I find myself defending it, because I feel that people hate it for all the wrong reasons.

Game of Thrones: S08E04: An Unbridled Rage

I mean I will argue about the major stuff but if one wants to be fair, it's like every line in ep 4 is specifically written to screw up the character who utters it. Or to completely undo everything that has been shown or said before.
I also love his insults and how he can't let it go about Jon not hugging his good boy This is good stuff, watch it if you have the time.

Cool, would you rather see a scene where Cersei gives them key to the city cus she is like "welp, I don't have an army either way so here you go!". "Oh, and can I help you in your fight against Night King, my few Lannister soldiers that I have left would prevent the Dothraki charge cus we would use a different, historically acurate tactic". No wait! We would miss all the fun of criticizing the invisible Greyjoy fleet and Danys descent to madness. Instead she would then f*ck Jon Snow and live hapily ever after with two Dragons by their side...
Plus you guys seem to be forgetting the helmers did consult many things with Martin. Ofc, now he can play the odd one out.
I applaud Martin. Now the sly toad can take all the time he needs and create the perfect ending for all the enraged fans out there. It was his plan all along...

It's not like a regular fan will dwell on them. Most will no doubt notice the inconsistencies but pay little mind or completely forget. But when so many add up, it can leave a poor aftertaste and you may not even remember why.

This. Pretty much. After the finale I'm not even sure how I feel about the series as a whole, but you're right. Disappointing it is.
A shame, really. I'm not one of the fans who are "having a meltdown", but I can certainly understand the feeling.

Well the leaks and rumors were right in a way. I can't believe this is the ending we get after 10 years.
Words can't describe how disappointed I am. It's just so..... I don't even know how to put into words the disappointment I feel.
I guess I got my wish of Drogon melting the Iron Throne though. Although why he did not incinerate Jon on the spot we will never know.
I am just happy that at least one dragon survived at least. But still, poor Drogon, all alone in the world now. And he will continue to grow, probably surpassing Balerion the Black Dread in a few weeks/months. Perhaps he will return and lay waste to Westeros as revenge? Who knows?
I bet Drogon took Daenerys's body back to Old Valyria.

Oh well, at least one doggo and dragon survived. Even the two humans i was rooting for the most. Still, a farrrrr too rushed and confusing last season.

Well, that was mellow. At least we know why Jon did not argue with the point that Cercei used her subjects as hostages. You had nicely bypassed them until you decided to burn them alive you stupid wench. Liberate Winterfell huh? At least Ghost gets some love, my poor adorable doggo.

I'm almost willing to believe that this whole GoT last season fiasco which everyone is talking about is actually Martin's grand conspiracy to attract more readers for the last two books. From what I hear as long as he was one of the script-writers everything was splendid but when he departed it all went to Hollywood. Makes you wonder, at least.

The ending wasn't bad, but somehow made me indifferent. Maybe I subconciously expected something else?
And now to see what the fat man himself has in store for us. If he will live for another 20 years to finish his f* books that is!
PS: Martin says the main plot points of the ending are similar to what he said to D&D, like, 5 years ago. Ofc, now after fans outrage he can do whatever he pleases with it...

So I just realized something. Drogon survived and is now the only living dragon. However he is only a few years old I believe? Correct me if I am wrong.
Anyhow my point is, that Balerion the Black Dread was the largest dragon in history and died peacefully at the age of 200 years old. Drogon is like 2 I think. Drogon is going to live for a long time.
He will continue to grow throughout all of his life, meaning he will likely surpass Balerion in size at some point in his life. Probably very soon. I wonder what will happen in the future? Will he return to Westeros? Will he live in Old Valyria? Will he be hunted down? Will he terrorize the world?
I'm just so curious on how he and the world will react. There are no Targaryen's left to tame him. Meaning he is essentially uncontrollable.

You actually made me realize that by sending Jon to the Nightwatch they literally killed off Targaryens. That is ofc if Jon will uphold his no-sex vows... yeah we know how this turned out so far 
As long as Bran is alive he can track Drogon. Either way if they decide to make a post SoF&I spinoff they can make a cliched story about some Dragon Hunters hunting the last Dragon...

True. I hardly believe that Jon will be the last Targaryen. I feel as though Drogon should have incinerated Jon on the spot however.
And yes Bran can track Drogon, however I don't think he can take control over Drogon. As it is said that dragons possess a very keen intellect that surpasses that of man. And that sometimes dragons do things for unknown reasons. So I feel like Bran will only be to track down Drogon and not really do anything else.

Much as I liked Jon's eventual fate, I don't quite buy the punishment. I mean, who's going to enforce it? Are the unsullied gonna make surprise inspections up there? If Jon was caught not being there, would they face an unsullied invasion? Either I'm missing something or this is an eyerolling decision.. 
Bonus question, how do you even enforce no marriage or children in the middle of nowhere? Sounds like a place where he'd get lots of wildling action. And it's not like they have magical DNA tests, right?
