I don't think the entrance should be changed, that thing does not look as entrance, rather some dwelling with a guard in. Just the base, then I can fill the holes in each frame.
Or maybe don't change the bridge as entrance but keep that thing removed, looks better, no?

no, it's a part of the building, the bridge is what looks out of place, imo.
i understand you might want to keep something from the old object as a transition, but the bridge clashes with the design of the entire dwelling. imo, the gazebo entrance is a must. the reason i ask if you want the entrance on side 1 or 2, is because if you say side 1, i'm filling the wall overtop of 2, and vice versa. it won't look like an open gazebo anymore after i'm done, it'll look like part of the building.
but if you really want the bridge left in, i'll just upload the wall i fixed for you(where the gazebo used to be). then, i'll just change all the animation frames myself when you put out the object patch, to add the door i want, for my own .lod. that way, everybody's happy.
let me know, either way. the wall-fix is already done. the entrance i want isn't yet, but it will be.

Ok, do it as you think will look best. Then I copy the base to other layers. One constraint only: the entrance must be where the bridge is because the other palace of dreams. Look at it if in doubt.
Just don't change anything than first layer, if possible.

that's why i ask if you want the entrance on the left or the right. which one do you think will work with better passability for the hero? 1(left), or 2(right)?
what do you mean by 1st layer? i'm only working off of one frame.

I uploaded the psd file, where you got a frame then? If you get it out from file, the quality may change I think. Put the entrance where it fits best, near the bridge emplacement. I can move the object a few pixels left or right after, thank.

i overlaid the old palace of dreams on the new one to get the appropriate bearing, then moved the new one to where it belongs. i didn't wait for the download link you uploaded, i just took it from the screen you posted before the link(i'm impatient that way ). same thing anyway, it's just a .png file.
i have to put the entrance at space #2, as that is where the passability entrance is. i've already got the object in place, so you won't have to do that when i'm done.

Fred, don't ever work on a file extracted from a gif which already took out 25% of quality (only process 8 bit files), then you take 10% more by downloading. Please, do it on psd file or this will not work. I precisely asked you if want me to upload the material.

there is a problem, sal. while bes's "kremlin.psd" that he uploaded was 168kb, and was an actual frame of what i'm supposed to be working on, your "kremlin.psd" was 800kb, and displayed nothing at all when opened in photoshop.
would you mind telling me why that is?

Layers are not activated, fred. Click on first layer (the one at bottom) to display it. Then you can work on it, but just don't move it out. The psd is the whole file, with all layers, fireworks, shinies and background.
There is no rush, I will work on battle academy until you figure the palace, take your time, I am sure it will look great.

i know how layers work, sal. why did you hide all of the layers of the thing you wanted me to work on? someone opening that file up would see nothing, and assume all kinds of things.
here is the file you asked for.
and here is what it looks like, side-by-side with the original:
looks like i forgot something. the shadow behind the entrance spire.

Thanks fred, looks great. I didn't hide anything, just sent you the file as it is when I open it. As I need to combine layer 1 with firework layer 10 + with fire work layer 25 +...etc, I need all layers deactivated when starting def. Are we friends now?

Ah yeah, I already made the changes but the shadow is too cool to not have it, nice. I will do it again.
Meanwhile, the battle academy was redone in two versions: one fire go fast, the other twice slower.
For the ones jumping on me because the pine tree, I need obstacle in that area, to match the other palace red squares. And the most universal object in Heroes are the pines, they work on almost all terrains.
Fast or slow?

There is something I don't understand.
Are you going to change the ID of the objects in the map editor and with make all previous made maps start to load with this images or are you going to change the ERM of some routines so they start using different objects?
I think is the first option and in that case will the maps made with the new versions of the objects open in old versions of the map editor or will we get error messages?
Thank u

Fred, for Transylvanian tavern and Home of the Bat, are you interested in preparing the layout? I think in the first must isolate the tower and cut everything around, the second needs some inventive cut, because the objects around also add to the atmosphere. Let me know what you think.
@Edit: only the second object, Fred. I found for the bat home something better.
MATERIAL FOR BOTH
@Bloodsucker, the idea is to maintain compatibility, so no error will occur. I did a test with the few objects already done, seems I have to resize the death chamber mostly.

Battle Academy - fast variant.
Palace of Dreams - sweet model.
Transylvanian tavern - the second one looks promising.

Sal, will this be a new mod or a part of Wog Revised? In both cases, can the old graphics be added to the editor's blank buildings so we can use them anyway we want to?

There is no reason to drop old objects, the old objects will be renamed and kept in. I don't think I will attach it to wog revised because all objects will finally get similar layout so no name change.
I need a skull graphic, however. A bit lest plastic than the wog one.
