I already said it would be untraditional in terms of actual mythology and added many examples exist when it comes to Heroes merging or adjusting myths of various regions, in countless accounts. Unlike the almost universal dislike on vampires, even in this single page you can see everybody looking very calm towards a mummy/lich so, it's really not tasteless, certainly not comparable to the disaster that are the unidentifiable vampires. The bandages are a detail to me, the special decay (Lizard linked it) fits the lich well.
And since Mummy's are traditionally kings, in fiction, they are usually more like aristocrat vampires, not zombies. They rise from their coffin with a personality. That's irrelevant, anyway.

I don't care if the majority hates it or not (which btw, it does). That's just not a lich, period. This is a lich:
How hard it must've been to make the Necropolis unit with a similar appearance. No, we must go with the controversial one that some people might not like. Because I'm positive that no one would raise any objections if they were skeletal. But nooooooooo...........

Majority hates the H6/H7 lich not the concept of a mummified lich in general. Just in this two pages, Pawek, Protolisk, Me, Lizard, Zombie_Wizzard have supported the concept and you are the ONLY one obsessed with a skeletal lich. Considering all the obvious flaws of the faction, it's not the most important detail if the lich is mummified or skeletal but a mummified lich certainly doesnt suck. I, like many here, personally prefer the decay to a skeletal face and find the notion of a mage and an aristocrat mummified very mergable. Lizard's detailed description does the idea justice.

As I told you, the idea of an aristocrat mage mummy is a mummy and not a lich. Not conceding any point here. I don't care if you think the concept works or not, just don't call it a lich. Call it Aristocrat Mage Mummy instead.
And believe me, you're new here on the thread, and most likely you don't even follow the blog. People don't like this "lich" at all. The ones that do are the minority.
Oh, and I know for sure that Lizzy would very much like the skeletal lich back. Actually, I don't know of anyone who would object to a return to the original liches.

That's what a merge means, a mummy and a lich, they are not necessarily exclusive. A golem is traditionally not mechanical, original vampires do not look like Bela Lugosi, orcs are not from the desert, such things are doable if they work. It works.
And just because I dont post 300 entries everyday such as yourself, doesnt mean I dont read here every once in a while but no, I'm not obsessed, although that's hardly a point since the thread isnt entirely about skeletal lich versus mummy lich.
