Oh, of course you have your idea how Lich should look like and everything outside your interpretation is wrong. You whine how UBI ripped units from WH and then ask for exactly the same thing. Mind-boggling.
Spiderpolis, hmmm it reminds me of something even worse... Infernopolis
How come if something is introduced in entirely different game can "ease me" into accepting something so absurd.
I mean race of interstellar traveling, technologically advanced demons attack planet with medieval technology and then resort to melee and magic combat? I can see that plot taken from some pr0n movie, I swear...
*EDIT*

lol, no,
what I actually said, if you care to go back and review, was that it's the same character and if Marzhin's comments are canon then the two universes are connected
then you said no, he's not important, he's just an homage and I made a cheeky remark at you for trying to close the discussion
now you are getting personal and talking about being proven wrong by some expert, I literally agreed before bringing it up that I personally don't believe the universes are connected
"comfused", indeed, lol

why yes, of course, you're so right, that's certainly not a stupid strawman argument from you that shouldn't even be dignified with a response, lol

wouldn't be hard to connect them though
Asha and/or Urgash is/are alien/s that has taken control of some planet and use their/its powers to shield it from outside influence. see? logical explanation that will allow Ashan to exist in its own little pre-school world without completely disregarding the old lore.
or maybe Urgash was banished/imprisoned and Asha is his warden (not sister!) and the people of Ashan his guards! frankly this sounds way more interesting than "they're gods"

sure, NWC certainly had bad ideas (infernopolis, scraping forge). sci-fi elements were not one of them though. frankly, i'd prefer aliens over demons in a fantasy setting every time simply because it's just fresh and interesting. the way they went about the kreegans was simply ingenious BTW.

That's a scary idea. More aliens means more ranged warfare.

i get that you're bummed out about every faction having an elite shooter (i can understand that though i don't agree) but that wouldn't be necessary with an alien faction. it all depends ho the alien faction is presented and built up. the kreegans were aliens and technologically superior, yes, but they didn't specialize in shooters anyway. they had one tier 2 shooter that kinda sucked. and used magic, not tech (though it's kind of implied that magic is tech but whatever). they were also some kind of hive-species if i'm not mistaken (haven't played the rpg's but i snap things up) indicating they might not have used tech for anything else than space-faring.
i don't know jack snow about kreegans though, but my point remains: a faction being technologically superior aliens means nothing for prefered strategy.

Yea, about that, let's just not go there again. Ever.
About the Kreegans, I didn't get the idea demons were such from playing Heroes 3. I genuinely believed I was playing with demons, devils, imps, etc., viewing them from a medieval Christian perspective. It never dawned on me they were aliens from outer space, as that didn't affect their models in that direction (unlike Ashan with its over the top religious symbolism).
And mixing a fantasy game that has mythos creatures and a medieval atmosphere with sci-fi elements was never my cup of tea. It completely breaks my immersion.

The greatest thing in H3 unit design can be seen in Kreegans, or Inferno faction. Lorewise, you know that they are high tech aliens with spaceships, but looking at the unit design of Inferno, you only see demons and devils. And that is the beauty of the design: it doesn't depend on the lore. In Heroes Chronicles: Conquest of the Underworld you fight Inferno faction that represents real demons not Kreegans. In H3, you could use the faction and fit it in almost any lore.
On the other hand, in latest Ashan's design you have the exact opposite. Lore influences factions too much. You can see that undeads are of Spider Cult, and that Castle units are Wolf (Griffin) Duchy. That is the main thing that I hate in Ashan.

I've been trying to bring this up for some sort of discussion...with no success. Seems to be a topic everyone ignores or maybe it doesn't matter to anyone. But I'll try one more time...
@ kiryu133
Why don't you agree? You don't see line up diversity as an issue or do you see ranged units as more than just a point and shoot strategy?
