Sure - that could make more sense, and possibly be useful for people who play a lot of multiplayer. I think the problem is generally just when stuff is overdone that make it an eyesore.

mike80d said: Would if the coloring of necro units is aligned with the color of your faction? In other words, if you are the blue player then your units would have the blue trim to them. Red would be red, etc. This doesn't mean that the whole unit is that color, just the trim that they have been using neon green for.
In a fast RTS like StarCraft, where you must distinguish your units from your enemy during a battle it makes sense. But on a TBS like Heroes, where you have a few ways to know if that stack is yours or of your enemy and you aren't pressed by time? I don't see on what it would be beneficial

Almost any color would fit for Necropolis if it's pale and dark, not glowing like a Christmas tree or too bright. White, Black, Garnet, dark blue would be perfect for Necropolis, some of them even if they are overused (but I'd prefer them to be balanced), they don't hurt your eyes like the neon green.

In Magic: The Gathering, spiders are commonly associated with Nature, among the group of wild creatures. Given that they tend to catch things that feed on carrion (flies ), and that Sylvan is pretty much anti-Undead, having a Spider unit in Sylvan actually makes perfect sense!

since everybody hates the fluorescent green is there anyway we can let the devs know that? i think recolouring will be like modding, so it won't be a big of a problem to them?(if they have already have the necropolis ready in the game).

At the very least on this forum, we've been whining about it since the start of HeroesVI, so I suspect our beloved insiders have passed such on.

I think Fate weaver was a really interesting and refreshing addition and I also don't mind the spider theme at all.
Blows bone dragon out of the water any day.

Another suggestion that could work if the Egyptian theme is kept is an Anubis type warrior. Obviously to fit into Ashan it can't be godlike, however it's look can still be used

I would have loved such a unit in an Egyptian-themed faction but not so much in current necropolis.

Anubis Warriors aren't quite fitting Necropolis, imo. Not that I think it's a bad concept though

We want a Dullahan!
We want a Dullahan!
We want a Dullahan!
Because Dullahan's rule!
Death Knights suck, like everything from D&D.
Btw, Dullahan = Headless Horseman, for people that have been living under a rock.

No thanks. Even zombie sound more interesting than a human without a head.
I want to have this 4 units in any necro heroes game:
-skeleton (like the heroes 6 non upgraded units a lot)
-vampire (heroes 3 looked the best for me)
-lich (heroes 3 also looked the best for me)
-bone dragon (heroes 2 looked the best for me)

I hope the spiderlady won't return
Since we got two champion per faction:
Reaper/Bone Dragon or even Reaper/Dread Knight would fit as champions and would save us from that weaver abomination... I'd still like to see a Void-themed Necropolis, but I doubt that's gonna happen
