Yea I think he's right. It doesn't necessarily make a category to mean all it's elements.
Which bothers me because now I don't see which part in that sentence is so highly suggestive that it's indeed the case for all of the Namtaru. Maybe it's the relative clause too. Guess I have to get someone else's more informed opinion on this.
Edit: Or, it's probably because "the Namtaru" is meant as a race.

Maybe you were just tired. Sometimes I spell 'apple' as 'aplle'. I did that in my 1st year while I was studying. We are all just humans, don't worry. We all have bad days.

I just read this
Quote: Hello Councillors,
Since the launch of the Shadow Council, we try to remain faithful to our ambition to create a living platform for the community where everybody is able to receive weekly information and also share its opinion on all topics. Since the early beginning we try to take into account all your inputs and as much as possible consolidate our vision thanks to them. Nevertheless, we can’t open all topics to the vote or discussion in order to make progress in the development on our side.
However, in the last few days we identified an important wave of frustration since the reveal of Necropolis Faction and we would like to assure you through this statement that we are aware of the current situation. The team is studying if some possibilities exist to make changes to some creatures without hurting too much our development schedule.
/! We do not make any promise here since we still have to study the impact this change could imply on our side before giving a straight answer in a way or another.
It is important to keep in mind that even if we are able to do changes, the line-up (creatures listing & abilities) would remain the same and we would focus on 1 or 2 creatures visuals depending on our opportunities. Also, even with the modified visuals, the creatures would remain consistent with the Ashan universe.
We will get back to you in the following weeks to confirm you whether or not we can make those changes but please keep in mind that if it turns out not to be possible, this would be definitive.
We do take into account and respect your opinion and can only assure you we will do our best to find solutions but whatever our answer will be, we would like to ask for your comprehension and request you to remain civil and polite in the Shadow Council.
Best,
Ubi-Nox.
I think that this open forum way is ruining the game. I do not think that we should be that involved in the creative process. I believe that the developers are being blocked by all the disagreeing aspects, and they are being forced to redesign to many things, which in the end will give us a horrible product.
I think that they should follow their heart and just give us the best game they can!

Can someone enlighten me on somthing. First thing, I personaly don't mind the spider as a unit but ... where did this idea that links undead and spiders come from? Specialy coz most units, besides the spider are unrelated to spider - maybe some diferent animal, but spider?
Skeleton - unrelated to spider
Spider - is a spider
Ghost - unrelated to spider
Lich - no conections there
Vampire - connections to bat, wolf, even rat, but spider? never spider.
Lamassu - is it a spider? No.
Bone Dragon - undead lizzard with wings ... maybe undead snake with wings? anything but spider.
Grim Rider - does he ride a giant spider? No.
Yet in Ashan, these units are somehow spider related. I'm not lore buff, but ... how come? If it's based on Egyptian / Babylonian theme then ... where did spiders come from? Egyptian god of underworld is Anubis, and he's a Jackal, and I don't know any spider related Babylonian gods... altho I'm no expert - maybe there are? Nergal is a lion (so a cat, and last time I checked cats aren't spiders). Birdu would be god of underworld ... but... is he a spider? I don't know.
So where does the idea of spiders come from? And how are spiders asociated with death anyway? To me it looks like they just took a random animal. Why not cockroach? or Snake? or Dolphin for that matter. Yes. I wanna see Undead Dolphin. Someone make it happen!

Lore stuff I suppose
Basically since the avatar of their belief is a half spider, they worship spiders, it's like the christian cross. As much symbolism as possible
EDIT:
From "the bible"
Necropolis->symbol
The death spider
In his first lectures, Belketh often referred to image of Asha as a spider, spinning the web of life, administering death through her poisonous mandibles when one's allotted time was up. The Necromancers took the Spider to symbolize death as the answer to all, the reduction of existence to its purest and most changeless form.
So yea, the angel who helped create the necropolis made a simile and his students took it as a symbol. When they found The mother namtaru, a spider like incarnation of Ashas nightmares the belief grew stronger and here we are. A Spider themed cult.

Regarding spiders' connection to Ashan-Necro, it actually has roots in mythology, philosophy and modern times.
First of all, spiders as an image of death was popularized only recently. They started to become "evil" from 17th century. It started from books, then moved to horror films and from there - to videogames. But spiders were always feared. They're creepy and their method of killing a prey is frightful indeed. And, actually, Spider emblem fits the Undead pretty well.
Then we have philosophical view on spiders, or rather, spider web. And its basically what Belketh's idea was about - the world is a web, everything in the world is tied together, every single moment, and the knots on the web are places where individual lives are intertwined.
Last but not least, spiders were associated with Anicent Egypt goddess Neith in her aspect of weaver of destiny. Does it ring some bells?
Just a little piece of trivia.

Mate, it's not the fact that necromancers and spiders couldn't fit, in fact, Warcraft did it very nicely, Crypt Fiends were some of my favorite units and Naxramass Archanid Quarter gave me chills, it's just that they take this to the extreme and that they copy a lot of bad elements in a bad way. The green has nothing to do with spiders, most spider toxins are incolor, there may be green spiders, but there are also black, red, yellow, brown, garnet, white, pink, orange spiders, a rainbow of spiders . Yes, I understand that Green Paris is a potent poison and a well-known one, but not everything that's toxic must be green, cyanide is toxic too, but it's red, arsenic too, but it's not green. They overused the spider theme, shoved it upon our throats, everything has spiders on it: they got spiders on flags, armors, weapons, shields, clothes, tattoos, buildings, artifacts, spiderman lights and now even their own city is a damn spider! Not even Haven has their symbolism everywhere, a lot of people are sick of spiders and devs don't even listen.
Yes, I know that the God of fate in Egyptian mythology is weaving, but it has nothing to do with NECROpolis, undead are outside the cycle of fate, they are rather the flies that escaped from the web than the knots, this makes them renegades, a mockery of fate. Maybe some other faction could fit this fate-orientation, but not Necropolis.

There's no spider symbolism associated with Neith. Her weaving aspect is associated with a loom, not a spider web.
