@Chris
Nah, Sisters are fine where they are. We have Abbots and they are badass units so no need for Sisters to be in elite. Griffins are a must because they are iconic units plus Haven needs another flyer.

I think the whole lineup is boring with all the auras and passive abilities. No fireworks there

I m asking why there is one flier in this line-up, and it reminds me something like h3 stronghold line up. Obviously Celestials angels aren t elite units and they will come in late game, so i m afraid of what siege battle could be.. i would really enjoy catapult could be upgrade with some ore and wood to compete against the remparts tech. As Heroes 3 was for me, a piercing heart, when i was attacking castle.

The Haven line-up is great! I also like the fact that they are similar to a certain degree to H5 of NWC.

they did say that they wili focus on the strategic part of the battle and not on the abilities stuff.(i think for them it's easier to do that, than programm working abilities )
the piercing shot and the shield passive of the legionaire or whatever are super cool even if they were the same, seven games in a row. as for the rest of the units i wanted a little more cool abilities.

Cavaliers getting stun and champion unit with area of effect dmg is good enough for Haven.

I think priests in their upg. model animation cast a spell. So spell casting of units may return.

Sorry for using such names for creatures but I am writing from phone and too lazy to remember new names.

Justicars are my favourite from the line-up. Full offence, hitting the enemy on every opportunity. I'm just not sure about Sword/shield. Something more original maybe? Or at least get rid of the shield.

Sentinels seem boring with only one ability that is passive and it comes with the upgrade.

I hope they will adjust crossbowman's damage, as that piercing shot devastates a whole army in 2 turns with positive morale in H6

Elites are great. Perfect.
But I'm not still sure about Swordmaster and him being a champ. And that name...

And I'm very glad we don't have Griffins. I hate them. They bore the snow out of me.

I think the point here is that they are trying to move away from H6's seemingly overabundance of skills. Also, they are trying to widen the gap between core and elite units, so that you have more incentive to get both.

However...

If this is preserved, then they did nothing. I expect them to be weaker, but still be able to pull off awesome feats of damage when it comes to luck and morale, along with their piercing.

yeap indeed. a flail and a shield or something more unique. the fact that she is a woman should not be reason why it's special. we see women everywhere now.
-a flail and net to throw?(old gladiator style)
-a mace?(very ladylike but brutal)
-a halberd?
-an axe?
-an ironstar?
and yet they chose a short sword -.-
and the fact that it's too late to change it now is frustrating.
it's not that the whole line up will be ruined but a detail that small could make it even better.

I think a halbert or any two handed weapon would not fit with her gameplan, which is "hit 'em quickly whenever you can". So it must be a one handed thing. And she is not defensive at all, thus has nothing to do with a shield. Her armour is enough. I think a flail would be perfect.

About it being too late to change a thing: is it really? This is only artwork. We haven't even seen her animation. They can change her weapon while they are in the beginning of the process. I don't think erasing sword and shield and giving her a flail would be such a heavy burden.

Ahh, that's what those are: animations! As I'm not home and logging in from my phone, it rejects to open those animations. I will see those tomorrow then, I guess. How is the animation is it nice? I can't see. Why do you do this to me my beloved smart phone?

Try using piercing shot behind a town wall when you are the the attacker of the siege. Piercing shot doesn't have the town wall range penalty and also hits multiple enemies. You will se it does much greater damage than normal shot on single targets as well.

Even though several units use the same animation skeletons as in HeroesVI, they updated the units a bit. I already though HVI looked good, this looks to be even better.

Then it is a bug. Your comment is based on a bug. I think piercing shot should do normal dmg to all targets not less. Chakram dancers are much more powerful.

Then its making less damage on a single target at the same side of the wall and in non-siege combats is also a bug. Your objection is based on a bug.

I can't believe I'm trying to convince someone that piercing shot is powerful in H6. It must do less damage than a normal shot, because you are hitting multiple enemies with a core shooter who already ignores %50 of target's defence.

It maybe powerful vs pc or noobs.90% of the time I can't hit targets without hurting own troops and even when I can that are two targets that get reduced damage and one of them is a target I don't care about. Rarely u get a chanc to hit 2 main troops.
What is it that it is a core? It must not do dmg..Before core shooters were powerful.

My point was that chakram is much more powerful and doesn't reduce dmg.
I couldn't understand that thing about siege walls and bugs though.
