Yeah, they do look kind of silly. Why don't they just have the background of the pic the same as your team color? Like in H5/6? Hopefully this is just a placeholder.

Just compare them with the hero and his mount - it looks so bad

Might that be that they hired some Landker..er...sketchklepklep instead of simply humans, and tossed them mounting the horses.
Quote: - in the initiative bar you can see 2 enemy CELESTIAL but i cant spot them on the battleground. Not that this is important but maybe they died later in the battle and a unit stays over its corpse to cover it
Yeah, too much for tiny minuscule details in all units. Look impressive from afar, right? ^^

- I don't see a major improvement over H6 graphics as we should expect after 4 years (i mean compare H5 and H6 difference or H4 and H5)
I think this is really old image, I mean the graphics really doesn't look good, the cuirassiers horse looks small, but on this image from February screenshots:
The angel is bigger, the cuirassier horse looks bigger (or am i wrong ? ) and the graphic looks Much better, so i just think it's old screenshot before improvement
also on the image from steam the sister as warfare units looks huge I mean i understand why she is "big" 4 tile unit, but why is she so huge ? she is as big as swordmaster !
and also the abbot on the battlefield is 'white' and the icon is shows red abbot like in concept art, I think it should be fixed, just recolor icon

The february screenshot is definitely older than the Steam screenshot. Look at the unit flag UI, the Steam screenshot is definitely from a more recent version of game.

so it doesn't makes sense for me, the angel looks smaller, why would they made it smaller ? and the graphic looks worse

I don't know. In my opinion they were the best potential candidate for healing Warfare Unit, as it was their main function in Heroes VI. Besides, in medieval times nuns were usually used as medical care during wartime, so that's also a point for utilizing them in such way.

People with gigantism have very serious difficulties with moving, so kicking anything would make them lose their balance and fall...

Not to mention the tapestry covering 4 squares. It must be a membrane linked to the magician, because there's no explanation to why a magician would die when it's his tapestry that's getting damaged.

Don't you think we are getting a little bit to far with realism? I agree, unit sizes need to be changed, but Heroes battles were always highly imaginary. If we go this way we may start to question why units can stand only on discrete squares/hexes, why they can take action only at specific time, how ill-equipped peasant can do any harm to a dragon, how can a crossbowman shoot over walls, etc. This is a turn based video game, so don't expect too much realism in terms of damaging units from it.

I've meant in comparison with the other units in Academy, occupying 4 squares with that unit seems very odd, unnecessary, even fantasy-wise speaking: it's simply, again, their doing into making a mandatory number of units in town be large only for the sake of equaling to other towns. There's more to it than simply my distaste of seeing a tapestry covering, needlessly, much more ground than needed. I wouldn't mind all of them, all units, occupying 1 square only, for example, as long as we could make them one from the other. But I also don't like seeing units in strange proportions on battlefield or looked like blurred together. Besides, this is a minor detail I'm pointing out. It's not like it'll save this game anyway - for me, I mean.

i'd like the djinn to be large instead (female large creature, woo ) but then it would have 2 melee large creatures and i guess that wouldn't work?

That battle screen is scaring. You see nada about who's gonna fight, such beautiful art works, then a lot of work in 3D super tools, to have a final result looking like 2 random pixels combined.
