-Don't worry, it's just that...-
All of a sudden a scream was heard in the woods, a woman was running through the woods calling for a name.
At first the name was indistinguishable from the echo, but then it was obvious it was calling for Francis...
-*cough * *cough* An eldritch demon has appeared to take me! Be safe brothers, I will lure it away from you so that you will be safe, farewell, I will return soon!-
And so, Francis the brave fled the camp with a speed unmatched by any horse.
It was then obvious a young woman was running through the camp searching for Francis, and, by the laughter of the members of the brotherhood she understood he went to the woods to take shelter.
Not to be outsmarted the woman ran towards Francis and, as luck would have it, the knight had tripped on a rock and was reached by the woman.
-Ahem, I'm sorry princess, but your knight is in another castle...-
The woman then said: -Stop it with your foolish games Francis Marcus Apollonius de Calandrie and greet me properly!-
The knight then answered: -Well Guinevre, how could I say no to that...-

- That would be the plan.- Drago said to Zet.- but without a guide, we have no way of finding the hidden paths of the marsh, and could end up drowning in that muck.- in time of great danger, back when elves walked the land, the smallfolk built stone paths which were well hidden in the water. Traversing these paths, knee or waist deep usually, the peasantry were able to run away from marauders or the enemy armies and hide themselves in the swamps until the danger passed. The tradition to build and maintain these hidden paths persisted to this day.
- So,- Drago addressed the old man- do you have anyone who could lead the way through the marsh?

- no. At least I don't think so. Many of the corpses are recently deceased. Starseeker isn't powerfull enough to summon greater voidspawn, and raising a fresh body takes a heavy toll on the mage. Whoever raised them into undeath, is fully devoted to the teachings of Mortis Clan.- the tiny wizard said, leaning on his staff. He was worried.

All of a sudden I bursted into laughter, something that didn't happen that often when it comes to me. I laughed so hard that I had to find a place to sit and calm down.
"Oh by everything that's holy and good, this is not what I expected to see! Francis always gets the girls, always! I better go and check if she's not gonna kill him, though."
And with that I got up and got my rapier at the ready, then rushed over to Francis' side only to see him laying on the ground.
"Am I... interrupting something?" I asked with a faint voice.

((That wasn't exactly the direction I wanted to take but...))
Guinevre had just left for a moment to gather some flowers, and didn't notice the flurry, as she was appeased for that moment
-Oh I'm fine really, thank you both for interesting yourselves for my well being, it's just a little reunion, and I will probably die here, now, if you could help me escape this I would be more than grateful, also DAMN YOU ZET! You summoned her with all that talk of sisters in-law!-
Francis' incoherent rambling made Guinevre come to them and say: -Francis my dear! Who's that man and that woman that's coming towards us? Also, why are you screaming?-
-Ah nothing really, just a cramp and they are just friends, you know, they wanted to meet you, I know the ceremony has been delayed but we needed testimonies so... I just went to find somebody appropriate.- Said Francis with a huge smile on his face.
He then told Zet and Isabella: -Play the part, help me get up, something is keeping me down, keep your weapons down for now, I'll explain later and most importantly, don't allude to anything that I've done in the last 8 years!-
Guinevre arrived and said: -Oh, how unpleasant of me, I didn't introduce myself, I'm Guinevre of Corneille Noire, daughter of Lord Charles of Corneille Noire and fiancee of this handsome gentleman you see on the ground. Who am I referring to?-

I was surprised and at the same time pretty calm. I winked at Francis and lowered my weapon.
"Pardon me, milady", I began, "I must apologize for my rash and wild behavior. 'Tis very unfortunate that we met under these circumstances, alas that's how the world wants it to be. But I forgot my manners! Oh, dear, most unfortunate, indeed! I am Sir Zet, a wandering prince without a place to call home other than the welcoming company from the north that goes by the noble name of The Brotherhood Of The Tattered Banner, known for it's longevity, fair service to many a lord, brave and just members, and, not to forget, an important quest at hand. Pleased to meet you."
I bowed, then continued, "It is my duty as a member of such a fine order to keep in touch with everything that is happening around me, as you see, I go by the noble profession of an intelligence gatherer, taking notes of events happening in the world that would prove relevant to my comrades. Speaking of which, I do not believe I have asked what is such a beautiful maiden doing in this grim land unprotected. Surely, you must have witnessed strange, dare I say, dark entities roaming the countryside?"

All of a sudden Francis raised his finger to take the word:
-Sorry to interrupt you all, but I think you may have forgotten that there is a knight in full armor laying down on the ground that may have broken his back, and I lack the movements of a turtle to get up right now...-

- Go get him.- Dragomir said. The old man bowed and did as he told, going to the home of this trapper.
From Magnus, who's few wound have been taken care of by now, he learned what happened. He interupted Halfman's little lecture about necromancy, and accompanied by the tiny wizard and Magnus, who a tad grumpy over having to shred his tabard, went to find Francis.
- Bloody hell's going on here?- the Dwarf had asked as he helped Francis get up.

The amber carvings on Drago's blade glowed slightly.
- I am Dragomir the Black, Lord Dragonheart, captain of the Brotherhood of the Tattered Banner, of which Francis is a full pledged member. My other associates are Magnus Goldbeard and Halfman, a mage hunter of Samann Clan.- he did tried to sound courteuos enough. He noted the light coming from the ornaments of the sword.
- Please tell, why aren't you at the side of your Lord Father?- he asked Guinerve.

So I talked with my cousin Viola and she helped me focus my power to scry for the position of Francis, like she taught me when I was young, but then I was always late in all the places he went, so I decided some months ago to hide here, as my cousin told me in a vision...-
When she finished Francis became as pale as milk.

Halfman looked at Guinerve and seemed very upset.
- My child.- He said- what you've been taught is an art outlawed by the Conclave. As a member of the Samann Clan I cannot let this pass. Necromancy has brought only suffering to this realm.
- So what options does she have?- Drago asked.
- There are only two ways. I don't want to kill her, so only thing remains. I need to take away her power.- the wizard replied.- Be mindful that other mage hunters usually prefer the easy way out.- He added.
