Maybe you don't, but I like this kind of eyecandy .
It looks good but harms gameplay. Would like a setting that could fix this personally.
Maybe I'm missing something, but you know you can zoom in on the tactical battles right? Just a little spin of the scroll wheel.

So why are you not playing the Beta? Or are you?
No hate on the game if you haven't actually tried it yourself, eh.

Yes, but if you don't get it today you'll have to contact Ubi support and ask for it.

Step 1: Pre-order
Step 2: Get the beta
Step 3: Cancel pre-order
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit
(no idea if it works lel)
Seriously now, I don't get why testing bugs is a privilege, or why Ubi makes it look like it's. Also there are so many people begging for beta keys it's genuinely funny

I don't think if that will work in most cases, because some purchases can't be refunded. Once bought, your soul is forever in their care. Maybe that is exactly the way it should be to prevent such cheap beta access
At least now I can say that I have seen abilities, units etc in actual action rather than reading about everything on the blog. Bugs and lacking content aside, it is still good to experience some things by playing it.

Quote: because some purchases can't be refunded
That's pretty much illegal in most countries.
Quote: In the EU, for contracts concluded as of 13 June 2014, you have the right to withdraw from your online purchase as well as from purchases made elsewhere than in shops (e.g. from a salesman on your doorstep; by phone or mail order) within 14 days.
This “cooling off” period expires 14 days after the day you received your goods. However, if this period expires on a non-working day, your deadline is extended till the next working day.

Since I'm not up-to-date on what video card can run which game, getting the beta was primarily about seeing if I can run it on minimum settings. I can, but only at 5-10 FPS, so I'm gonna wait a few years, buy it for 5 bucks or less, and get into it with my inevitably updated comp... enjoying preorder benefits when I finally do.

Don't pin me down on this, I may be totally mistaken. Something of the sort did come to mind, though, about the difference between buying the digital version and the physical one.
Well, I found this. I'll write it in Dutch first:
"Voor digitale producten is een terugbetaling / retour niet van toepassing. Fysieke producften kunnen binnen 30 dagen na aankoop worden geretourneerd, mits het product niet geopend en de seal intact is. Je zult hiervoor eerst een goedkeuring moeten ontvangen van de Digital River Customer Service."
I'll do my best to make a translation out of it.
"In case of digital products, refund / return does not apply. Physical products can be returned within 30 days after purchase, on the condition that the product has not been opened and the seal is intact. However, you first need to receive permission from Digital River Customer Service."

About canceling the pre-order, I got acces to beta and I didn't had to pay for the game
In Poland on the site gram.pl when you pre-oder the game you pay 5 days before the release of the game, this way you can pre-order the game, get the beta key and then you can try the game if you don't like it you have a lot of time to cancel the re-order, even the site encouraged consumers to do this
and I'm not the only one who did it like this
PS: I got my extra key so if somebody would like to play beta send me HCM
The beta has tons of bugs

But the camera isn't fixed. I need a way to fix the camera or battlefield to take up as much of the screen as possible with as little unnecessary stuff loaded as possible. Zooming in does not fix this sadly.

Downloading beta isn't downloading the finished product you paid for, so it still applies.
Quote: You also enjoy the right of withdrawal within 14 days from concluding the contract for online digital content. However, once you start downloading or streaming the content you may no longer withdraw from the purchase, provided that the trader has complied with his obligations.
