...yeah, you guys should totally cancel now, right?
Well, I had plans to pre-order the game in August but it would be irresponsible to take advantage of such a bargain, especially because such a situation might not repeat in the next few years.

To cancel pre-order is the only solution in this situation.
I've posted ticket but if I don't get answer until I return from work I will cancel for sure.
I cannot believe that this kind of cr@p situation could even occur. I've never seen that unreleased game goes on 75% sale. In fact I've never seen any pre-order on sale. That is just insane!!!

If this is still available when I get home, too, I will also cancel the pre-order I placed on Steam and make use of this summer deal. Not going to throw away 45 Euro's for something that hasn't been released yet.
Edit: The funny thing is that this pre-order deal isn't available through Steam ...

So let me sum up what I've seen after quickly gliding through this thread...
What have we here? Who would've guessed that the beta shows H7 is an utter mess a few months before it's release date? And that the company which will release it is still Corporational Greed incarnate (this whole hype/advertising machine while the game, by the look of things, is still struggling to be even released on time). Yeah...
I see that loosing my interest in the game (not completely of course) was the right thing to do. It saves me a lot of nerves. And it looks like it will need at least a year to become sth playable. JUST LIKE HEROES 6 (sort of...).
In the mean time I'll play a game whose developers show that they care about their game (and it's players) by bringing a lot of cool content for a good price (a little bit more then a simple Hearthstone hero skin to show you the contrast) and offer full feedback to it (they literally start to repair an issue as soon as it's known to them, or by organizing tournaments with prizes). After a year and a few months what I have is a complete, bug-free (no crashes, glitches, gamebreaking issues) package that already gave me 250 hours of gameplay and I'm only starting cause I didn't even touch the Random Map Generator (which is incredible if I'm to believe what others tell me about it). It's worth adding that the game is still undergoing some patching, mostly balancing, but at the same time they're still adding some nifty stuff to it. Plus it shows they still care, even after taking all the moneyz for it. The game I'm telling you about is called Age of Wonders III and I'm not even getting paid for praising it

A question to you guys out there, how much this beta feels of Heroes VI? My biggest worry is that the two are same games just with different principles.

I've played hotseat with a friend (only two games), and I had a feeling that I was playing HoMM6 with UI, graphics and some skills. But overall, it felt like HoMM6 all over again. However, I must again say, that I played very little compared to other people here

Doesnt feel like H6 at all. It does however borrow certain visual elements from H6.
(I have played through all campaigns in vanilla H6 and the DLC:s and add on).

I definitely get the Heroes 6 feel from it. Visuals, interface, music, environment interactions - it all feels like Heroes 6. There are some improvements here and there, but too insignificant to make a difference.

To me the game feels like H5 too in some ways, especially when using the Random-skill option. Only when I build the Town Portal does some H6 come into play.
And no, I'm not going to cancel the pre-order CE. I want the goodies and bonuses, and if the game is too heavy for my pic, I will keep it safe until I get a better one.

art style is very much like h6, but other things are pretty much different from h6. it does feel like h6 for a second, when you play your first game, but thats all, it goes quickly. this is a much better game with much classical feel, if anything h7 feels like, its a not-h6.. personally i find some h3 in it.
