Indeed, 18 would spread nicely towards the not-so-nice hero class system, guaranteeing 3 heroes per class. I mean, surely the cost of implementing a 6-class system is in no way worthy if some classes are left with only 1 hero, wtf.

Hmm MM5 had 8 and they didn't have the different subclasses on it, so yeah? Maybe change the adjective to "good enough" instead if that helps you.
And guys, standards don't change, i just didn't play the old ones aside from being a kid to really share "your standards".
The more the merrier, sure.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who believes H5 had a rather low number of heroes. Not too low, mind you, since it worked with the one-class system.
But in H7? 10 is just not enough, IMO.

I believe 10 (or 12 which would be much more natural with 6 classes) would be enough, provided 90% of them weren't joined by uninspiring specialisation which in turn means I. will ignore most of them as main heroes.
All creature specialists are equally effective on main as on cannon fodder hero - i will end up avoiding those.

dont agree, i really like it... expecting fix to bugs and balance issues to make it even better. there some known issues that breaks the game, other then that, i would be prefering h7 one over h5 one thousand times

Ubi policy - first batch of eager fans pre-order the game at full price, 1 week later they offer the game at 75% discout to everybody else.
Can't argue with that, it is after all coherent with the game lol

As I've said before, I dislike the h7 class-system. I think all skills should be available to everybody. Classes should only determine how stats grow allowing player to pick which skills they have as main skills. GMs should be the only ones that are limited/excluded to certain factions IMO. I do think that haven for example should have access to dark magic, just not get GM to it. I mean they made haven much darker(in my eyes at least) than before, but this time they can't even learn dark magic at all(they could still exclude it from guild for example so you could only learn the spells elsewhere).
For me the best skill system was in h5. All I would've hoped to be added was more "classes" for each faction so all heroes wouldn't have same stat growth within the faction. I never liked the pure divide between might and magic which was solved with h5 hybrid system. Another system which I liked very much and best on ideological level was h4-system where you created your own classes as you played. The problems were really regarding balancing since a lot of classes were rather useless, but I do believe it had the greatest potential. Both systems were rather lenient IMO while h7 with the 6 different classes locks player since start on how to play the hero.(And it really is essentially 6 classes since it uses same main mold between factions)
PS quite interesting to see h7 was included in the 75% heroes franchise discount. With that price even I could buy it as I valued the game roughly to be worth 20-30€. You can be sure they will take that discount off though as soon as they notice it. They definitely didn't put that on purpose.

Hmm, when I check that page, I see the following:
Quote: Might & Magic® Heroes® VII - Collector’s Edition
PC
Vanaf: 99,99€
"Vanaf" means "from" or "starting from".
Looking at the regular version, I see this:
So, for the Dutch people, they still seem to charge full price .

Thanks for the tip Stevie. For 15 euro I'm willing to preorder even after the H6 fiasco. I hope you guys will manage to get some money back though.

You are right that the regular version is still 50 euro, but the digital deluxe is only 15!
