I know right?
The whole match was this continuous grinding, sleepy players and botched actions.
Heck, Pellč was always botching his actions, like he didn't know what to do with the ball.
Even Zlatan botched a goal, he could have easily scored but instead he threw it over the gate.

Croatia has been the most fun team to watch, beautiful attacking football translating into multiple chances. It's still early to call them title contenders, but if they keep this pace who knows...

That was instant karma, I bet those fans that threw flares to the pitch now feel like the idiots they are
Croatia lost a lot of ground after Modric was subbed in. Not surprised in the least, he gives so much to the team.

Well that certainly was something. Croatia basically have given up by the end.
The French security has really has to do something since so far they have been pathetic.

Just like every time they're not playing San Marino or Moldova.

This was a planned thing. The people who threw torches on the pitch have done this to sabotage our criminal football association. Pity they failed.

Then they were told to be pathetic. Why were they sent in in the first place? The flares only started flying AFTER security arrived in force. Basically they were the one to "challenge" those idiots.
This did not help the French stereotype of surrendering at the first sign of conflict...

All they do is obey orders, and is not their place to judge whether it's pathetic or not. But I agree.
I didn't know there was this french stereotype, I'm french, do I look like I give up at first sign of conflict?

Actually, security is supposed to prevent any pyrotechnics to even enter the stadium beforehand. Just yesterday there was a headline how security is so poor anyone can smuggle anything in.

It's a WW1/2 thing I think? Pretty popular amongst Americans and basically everyone the French ever managed to piss of at one point so basically half the globe.

Of course only muricans can run their mouth from far away and play brave, given that there was an entire ocean between them and nazis. Had they been close to germans, they would have been wiped as well. Nothing beats clever planning.

Get back to drinking and forget about it
Easy victory for Spain, Turkey never truly threatened the spanish defense and after Morata & Nolito goals they pretty much gave up. We're in the Round of 16, guys!

I don't understand how they could've "succeeded" at all, honestly. Is Mamic going to lose his position if our team loses the game?

Unlikely. But, the association can get a pounding with this logic...
Trouble is started --> HNS (CFF) is already burdened with previous sanctions --> UEFA and FIFA will assign even bigger sanctions, possibly disqualifications --> the CFF loses all credibility outside their precious Zagreb --> no money from international matches.
If the CFF will not belong to entire Croatia instead of a drugged Herzegovinian lunatic Mamić and the smug self-proclaimed "Croatian football brand" Šuker, who have destroyed Croatian football and openly lie, steal and discriminate all those who are not their asskissers, then the CFF doesn't belong to anyone.
We Croats have a tendency to ignore important problems like a snowty political situation and general cultural degradation (because we're good sheep like that), and now our public sentiment is "surprised" and "angered" over something that's been cooking up for ages, which shows we ignore problems in something everyone proclaims as "the only thing that makes us forget the problems of reality" --> the reality we ignore???
