We leave the Euros with our head held high. We knew going into it that everyone can beat us, yet we went out there and played football. I am especially pleased with our match against Belgium; we could have given up, especially after the second goal. Instead of giving up, we took risks, and continued to sweat our hearts out.
Two and a half years ago, we got humiliated against the Netherlands, eight goals to one. Today we leave the knockout stage with an undefeated run in our group.
This we managed with no-one playing anywhere respectable. We made Europe sit up and take notice; we will never again be the powerhouse we were sixty years ago, but we will damn sure not be laughed at any more. Sadly, the whole system is rotten to the core, so no long-term successes will be coming, but after half a century of worse than nothing, these two weeks felt glorious. Thank you boys, you made us proud. NOW, LET'S PARTAY!

Damn Italy are playing well in the rain. I can barely recognize them.
Also, Spains jersey looks like it has vomit on it.

I think Lucas Vázquez did more in twenty minutes than Iniesta+Cesc combined in the whole match. Subbing Morata (who was playing a good game) only to have Aduriz injured minutes later felt like instant karma for Del Bosque. His time for Spain has been over a while ago, he won't resign soon enough.
Italy played fantastically on the first half, then for some reason they subbed their best player on the center of the pitch (De Rossi) and Spain took control of the game from that moment till the end of the match. Can't repeat such mistake against the likes of Germany.

You can't believe how much the press, or even the mates said that we couldn't beat Spain.
Now I want to see the look on their faces.
Ironically, I think there were more doubts here in Italy than abroad.
@storm
Actually De Rossi was injured, and now Thiago is also disqualified from the next match, so... that's tough.

He was? It didn't look like that from here. Makes sense then.
I hope he has a healthy and quick recovery

Yeah, gonna be real interesting how Germany will try to beat this Italy. They have a bad history at the Euros and at the WC against Italian sides.
I don't know if either Gomez or Götze are particularly suited to open this Italy defense. Atleast Gomez will be harder to muscle off the ball but playing with double strikers with Müller alongside him may prove best. But that will leave them shorter at the back... Jogi Löw has to come up with something special.
Those antics from Conte are starting to annoy me quite a bit so that means he will settle well at his new job at Chelsea. Rivals Simeone and Mou in annoyingness.

England returning the favor to Iceland, what was that defending?
1-1 on the 6th minute, damn. That was a hot start.

It's technically at least one level below what Italy, Germany and France (in 2nd half) produced).
England is simply not good enough.

Say what you want about Del Bosque but he's still miles better then Roy Hodgeson. No gameplan in the 2nd half at all.
