Let's take France, why ban Russian artists as France is not in any war or direct confrontation with Russia. What Russia did to us? Nothing.
If we generalize the kind of logic you put there, we should ban all Chinese because we don't like what they do in Tibet. Ban all Israelis because Palestine. Ban all Americans because Irak. Ban all Turks because Armenia. Ban everyone belonging to any nations cuz we don't like how it acts.
But no, we choose to bash only Russia and don't even blink about others, upon a conflict which doesn't affect us directly and has more than controversial causes. Meanwhile, we never stop congratulating ourselves for our freedom, our tolerance and our acceptance of other cultures.
We suck, that's all. Putin is right to look elsewhere.

Fake news goes both ways. I look at the Ukrainian map about territory, as with this map I'm sure what's shown under Russian control is real. Funny when on our own TV show, they say Russia nukes some parts of Ukraine... That are under Russian control.

That Russia stops the war. Won't happen, though - not in the current situation. Chinese will have a big influence on what happens further - they are the only ones who can bring everyone to the table. Question is, what THEY want. Like Corona, this conflict is like a turd the whole world stepped into and now it's sticking to our collective shoe.
EDIT: Let me add something here with regard to that war. If the Russian leadership had any sense at all, this war would long be over. Think back one year: when Russia declared war, everyone was sure Ukraine would fall fast. The West got sanctions on the way, but military help for Ukraine wasn't on the table because everyone thought it would be a lost cause.
But then it became clearer with each day that the Russians weren't up to the task. If you think about Germany and Poland in 1939, the war was done in some 5 weeks. Case closed.
And once it became clear that Ukraine wasn't actually a lost cause the West started to support them with weapons.
At that point the Russians should have stopped the war. Keep to their newly created provinces, hand control over to UN, insist on them being separate entities, make all the right noises about not wanting more victims, bla, bla, point all fingers to Ukraine as guilty of everything and put it all to rest, because the "special operation" had simply failed at that point.

2- At the time, the project was a race against time, since the Nazis were also working on inventing nuclear weapons. Their research was led by the famous Heisenberg who was of Christian origin.
3- The U.S. research had many Jews who had fled Europe in order to not be exterminated. To these people, making the bomb before Germany was literally a matter of survival since Nazis were mass killing every Jew, even half-Jew in any country they control and had they invented the bomb before the Americans, it would have meant their victory and dominion all over.

They are government projects that took years of team effort, highest level of authorization and expensive funding. I know my experience.. The cause is mental illness, then "blood pressure".. First psychosis, later on schizophrenia.. So thing is always the same and spiral again.. Would be brainwashed fan.. I remember my kindergarten thoughts.. Yes it took much time that thought moved to else..
