But I suggest you can use freeware program Paint .NET. It is not more difficult that Paint, but allows features close to needed Photoshop functions.

I am aware Paint is a limited tool and the worst possible choice for this line of work although I don't have the expertise to work with a more sophisticated software (nor the time to learn how to).
I realize this might sound a bit like "I got this cool idea, someone else do it for me?" although I hope some good soul around will recognize potential in this creature and decide to invest some precious time in realizing it. The same process would take me much longer and while I am humbled by the fact I can't but admit this community has gone a long way over the past few years and what I could possibly deliver IF I spend a month on drawing frames would still be short in quality of what a skilled, experienced artist will produce in a matter of days. I would absolutely hate to come up with a semi-baked flawed def which I'd be ashamed to put in my game, let alone suggest someone else do it.
This is by no means a demand for someone else to come in and cover the dirty work for me but a genuine admission of facts. I can see the modding community has moved on from creating models to various other projects so I have little hope I will be able to attract interest with my call for help but one never knows.

Good luck with that. When I first came here, I asked for help as well, as I was as inexperienced as you, perhaps even less experienced. The most the community here will do for you is post a link or two to help improve your learning, and throw a handful of wisdom your way every now and then. Not that that's a bad thing, just that it takes forever to learn some things, and you will always be learning new things in whatever you choose to do, be it graphics, scripting, or whatever. When you get good at it, people will ask you to make things for them. Then, when you upload your work, people will ask you for more and more. I'd say, if you want it done, man, do it. But sharing hard work here is it's own reward, pretty much. Sure, you'll attract fans, but that's it. Once you realize how much you're giving, and what you're receiving for your hard work, you'll realize that the balance is in the community's favor, and not yours. If you have no problem with continuously giving like you're Santa Claus, and you like the "gimme gimme gimme" attitude, then congratulations, because this forum has LOADS of that, lol. There are good people here, don't get me wrong, but don't let yourself be used. Trust me, I was here a year and some change, and now I post my work on DeviantArt only, and don't share with anyone, because of my experiences here.
That being said, there are advantages to staying/sharing, but they're frightfully small, and easily surpassed.

I have no problem with giving and I massively respect those committed to creating more and more content when there is little reward but satisfaction. It is just that I don't have the opportunity to commit as much time and energy as this would take. My line of work has nothing to do with graphics, games, drawing or even computers and I don't have barely as much free time as I used to several years ago to educate myself. It is just immensely time-consuming when you don't have at least sufficient computer related knowledge to learn fast! I spent the past few days reading a number of highly informative threads in here in depth which sadly only further convinced me it would take a much deeper and thorough approach to meet the standards the community has set than I can afford. It feels like a mortal walking in a land of gods. Olympus is in sight but as much as you enjoy dreaming of it you know you were not meant to climb it.

That being said, I don't think it's easy to teach someone how to do graphic part. It's all about experience I think, personally I like to create some simple 3D stuff with Blender (many other guys here as well afaik), but I don't think i'm able to create model like that. Years of experience needed. Unfortunately, the best graphics here usually already have projects of their own, so it might be hard to convince them. Concept is cool anyway ^.^

lol, i ain't mad, i was just telling him what i experienced. he reminded me of myself when i first joined, and i thought, "why not help the guy out?" and, i was being polite.
revolution, your perspective is drastically off. i was merely trying to help someone, in a manner that would save him time in the long run.
and, you still think it's about those precious stars, huh? lol, wow. i repeated myself enough before, you should have got it by now.
simple question, guy: do i get any stars at DeviantArt? is there a system THERE for that?
nope. just freedom to post what i want without having to worry about people asking me "when can we have it?" "how long until then?".
really, get a clue, man.

Or maybe on deviant art guys there don't care about HoMM3 and your draws. No reaction does not mean they are more friendly towards you, this is hiding from reality. Personally I don't really get why you're mad, you followed same path as every single modder here had, and if you feel things happened different for you than for the <>20 of us, then probably the cause lied in you, I can't see other.
And about the community not helping you enough, you are aware that people capable of good advices here are 1-5 at max, are you? Giving that those have to answer 1000 other questions, create their mods also and this in only free time (we have a job, unlike you if I recall right), I think is already very kind of their part that they do what they do. Up to you or other newcomers to take the time, study others work and get your answers. The community is very small.

didn't i say i wasn't mad? i thought i said that... hmm. i DID say that. because i'm honestly not.
at DeviantArt, i don't have people disrespecting me. i don't have people asking me for stuff. i don't have moderators deleting what i post, or telling me that i'm wrong for something i said. i don't have people telling me there's something wrong with the way i think. i'm not ignored, either. you see where i'm going with this? i can post what i want to there, and there is no "pack mentality" that i have to deal with there.
most of all, i don't have people getting MAD because i'm not sharing my work with them. like some of the people here. then they try to tell me that I'M the one who's mad. lol. yeah.
actually, when it comes to the amount of traffic(or lack thereof) i get about my work, it's slimmed down because i have to post my screens in a category that isn't related to my work. most of the people who "favorite" my work have something in common: they work strictly under the category that i post my screens in. meaning, they draw. so that should clear up for you why my traffic is so low. and personally, i don't really care about my lack of traffic. i know people out there like my work, and more importantly, I like my work. i'm doing something that actually makes me happy.
btw, valery, how's JimV? whatever happened to him? he brought some cool ideas to the table for a while, and now he's long gone. i wonder what he's up to? he had some real talent.

Wow, I didn't expect to start of this kind of discussion, did I say something bad? Fred you pretty much told me "be aware that any time you spend on something here will see you receive no gratitude but only endless questions for more." I don't look at it that way. I am grateful to the modders whose work I have used. If the new features/mods had a price tag, I'd certainly pay to have them. Of course it is easy to feel differently when you are on the receiving side. I can see Sal ripping himself to various projects from ERA to TEW support and I honestly don't know how he finds the time and nerve to do just that, let alone resume his own modding.

Thanks, and yes, I supposed it would be like that. Hopefully next summer with the new Godzilla movie with Bryan Cranston Salamandre will remember how much he liked the franchise years ago, think of some brilliant Godzilla-related map, and if he remembers some useless dude posted several frames in here - whoops, we'd have a working def in a couple of days!

nobody has to answer 1000 other questions, valery. at most, there are no more than 5 questions per day. Most days, 1 or 2, if that. i see you personally answering a lot of them, and i know why. seeing how much time you have given people here(and repetitively answered the SAME questions, over and over), you obviously need their attention, and not only their attention. you need their adoration. "All hail the great and powerful Salamandre!"-i see them chanting. lol, i see you going to sleep at night with a smile on your face(i don't mean that in a mean way, that's how i honestly see you). you know, valery, you and i(and indeed, others as well) would certainly get along better, if you didn't view certain people as competitors, instead of fellow modders. you could've basked in the community's reverence all you wanted, i never wanted to take that from you.
and, i agree. it IS very kind of people to share what they can, and help when they can. never had an argument there, i've always been an advocate of that. this community would be a lot better if that happened MORE. plus, you say the community is small, but how many online forum's are their out there, that span so much of the world, and have so many foreign tongues all in one place? who knows, maybe it's just most other english-speaking forums that lead me to think that way. i do think you're giving this forum less credit than it actually deserves, on more than one issue. albeit not on purpose, though. many people don't stick around, or post. most people only post when they want something. there are a few gems here, though. i just wish there were more of their kind.
also, when you say 1-5 people at max that can help, do you realize that this community, and many other communities that encompass the heroes franchise, have been around for a decade or more? i'm sure you know that, as you are PART OF more than one, and have been for years. that would UP the numbers of people being able to help newcomers, wouldn't it? so many people being involved in modding, for so many years? at least, one could logically come to that conclusion... 18,892 members in hc's lifetime(and that's just hc ALONE). one would think there'd be a lot more knowledge that could help, just laying around...
oh, forgot: kevinhann, you didn't initiate anything, this is not about anything you posted. so don't feel bad. you were asking for help, i tried to give you help, and then others got involved. you're clean, man.

golly, so many people are angry with me. there's that "pack mentality" i was talking about. it's funny how it happens so fast.
