Awwwww what a pity.... we just played our games .
I completly crushed and humiliated him but out of my gracious well being I allowed him to enjoy the tournament instead of me. Aren't I generous ?
(lol he completely anihilated me... I didn't play particulary well but that doens't really matter^^). Googo blizzardboy!

Now Azagal, you're too self-critical. I didn't "annihilate" you in the 2nd match of fortress vs sylvan, it was just the momentum of the resurrection + runes of resurrection that kicked in. Gotta hate those runes of resurrection  , I was the one using them and I still hated them  (ok, not really, I enjoyed every second of them with sadistic glee)
Now the first match, well...

I told you dark is a poor choice against academy As for sylvan it definitely needed light, you can't go all might against the dwarves.

Yeees yes lecture me.
I was in kind of a hurry though since I actually had to learn for a math exam so there was no sense in playing that academy game. Oh and since I've experienced Academy to be pretty much unbeatable with my skill (except that AWESOME game against Radar!) I thought I'd try something different. Aaaaaaaaanyways I'll kick his ass next time.
EDIT: Oh and I could most certainly have kicked his behind with my sylvan... I "just" failed to finish of his staks before the rune of ressurection kicked in. Sschhhhhhhhhtupid me.

Playing Defensive against Academy? I don't think it's such a good idea, because of 3 shooters!
Also, Dark Magic is a not a very good choice, because of Magic Mirror and possibly even Cleansing (from Both the Hero and ArchMages)
Not only you had no spells with Sylvan, which is a bad idea IMO, but you also chose High Druids?
And why did you shoot the Shieldguards (who have Large Shield) with the Druids instead of the Thanes?

Thanes were blinded? But yeah shooting the shildguards was a bad idea which I relized only after I did it lol. But Sylvan can most certainly do without light against the dwarves, I just made mistakes. Oh and picking high druids without Pristine unicorns was a bad idea yeah. But a) I simply forgot to reupgrade or b)I didn't have the money. I think it was a though xD.

Oh that wasn't a problem at all. Mass confusion+expert defence+evasion did a pretty good job. But yeah I played bad I don't know how to play Necro.

I think the first game was definitely determined from the very start with dark magic necro vs a light magic academy with magic mirror (pity that I never ended up getting mark of the wizard, but I blew every last coin possible on hero artifacts, so I didn't retrain at all). I had magic immunity in my spellbook as well, so if the game continued I would have just brought my rakhasa's back into my control.
I felt the 2nd game was closer than it looked. I thought I was doomed at first. By the end it looked like a one-sided fight, but that's just because I was spamming resurrections with runes and my hero.
I had both resurrection and runes of resurrection, so if you finished off a stack I could have resurrected them, and then rune of resurrected them later. But still.

First tournament is nearing to an end Next round deadline is Sunday.
Meanwhile I'm preparing an updated version of the map for the second one. This time around though I will have better balance from the start and release a 'beta' version so it can be tested properly before we begin.

I'm sorry wrong update. Fixed now.
Meanwhile the next version is coming along nicely, I'm sure you'll enjoy it better than the current one. As the worst addicts and the ones who helped me the most Azagal and Radar will get the early version first I will continue tweaking it until the first tournament is over.

Oh wow, another case where dwarfs win and use runes every turn! You've nerfed them a few times Elvin but they still seem like they have won every time I've seen a replay. Do we have one where they lose posted?

I had a few but eventually erased them. In my opinion only haven clearly loses to them in this version, the others can win though it's a tough battle.

From the new version, haven vs fortress. As you will notice training is stronger as well as armies larger. Fortress is still going strong.. On one hand rune of resurrection is silly but on the other I can't believe how often rune of thunderclap stuns your units  Fortress had unicorn horn bow but the battle could still have gone another way if haven had resurrection or better artifacts, maybe I will give it the spell as default.
