You are right, should have hasted the Crossbowmen, perhaps they would have also acted before Eruina massacred them after I used resurrection (yes I was hoping they would, that's why I hasted them then - they were right next on the ATB)
About that Dive I wasn't sure where to dive except the Hydras. Heck, even the Hydras acted before the Griffins landed (but at least they were blocked)
That Implosion killing all my Archangels sure was scary  (and then Meteor killing all my Crossbowmen)

I have no idea how you actually managed to lose that game. Guess I would have gone for the Stalkers straight away with the griffins instead of attacking the Witches...
I really think you should have won that game especially when zamfir had technically wasted the huge dmg potential of his ballista on two occasions (going for the 3 or so left palas instead of the griffins for example).
I think much was due to your initial charge it wasn't really damageing enough. And placeing your Palas in a corner isn't the smartest thing to do because you'll decrease the ammount of units you'll be able to hit. With a speed of 8 he can reach the otherside in one go while being able to hit 4 tiles. Small units can hide but since Dungeon has 3 large units you are bound to hit atleast one stack if you put them more into the middle (which will also most likely turn into 2 hits due to their special). Well just saying.
Zamfir must have been pretty lucky with artefacts though since 28 SP isn't something you see everyday lol. And slippers?

I know, I know, but based on that obstacle in front of the Archangel, I would have expected the Grim Raiders to be somewhere there (also I thought Zamfir would like to save them from the Champs and place them somewhere in the corner) - my trick worked against me though

Admittingly not all too often but still. That's just one stack. Maaah I'm sure there is some good reason (except the ridicolous spellpower and the slippers) and I'm just not seeing it. From my experience after the first charge of Haven ~3 stacks should be GONE of Dungeon. The rest can be finished of easily with your troops as long as you manage to keep dmg dealers out of armaggedons. But it's ok I'll shut up about it now .

Ok I'll rephrase, an Empowered Implosion killing your entire Archangel stack, while still having a flaming ballista as well (who did some serious damage too)
I just can't believe how he got all that.

Well, I guess I'm simply too good for you.
Now, seriously, I had:
-28 SP
-4 arties from the Dragon Set
-Empowered Implosion + Emerald Slippers
-Expert War Machines + Triple Ballista + Flaming Arrows
-Generally good build for my hero
I attacked thos palies with my ballista because I tried to get rid of stacks. The Implosion + Stalkers combo killled the griffins.
Lastly: can you play NOW, Ash? I'm free.

Update
Academy (me) vs Fortress (Zamfir)
Unfortunately his comp crashed in the middle of the fight but I think it's clear that I would have won at that point.
I got both Attack and Defense lol (2% both) and I had Last Stand + Flaming Triple Ballista + Cold Death to take out his Ballista.
btw, I hoped that the Circle of Winter on the Flame Lords will destroy the Ballista, unfortunately the stupid automatic system ruined my plan.
The epic conclusion tomorrow

Yeah Asheera had that one by a long shot. A few things:
Motw doesn't target 'automatically'. You may have noticed that 3x3 spells on 2x2 units always cover the unit along with the area to its front and left. I had written a section about motw in my academy guide
While I generally love runic flaming arrows it's a bad idea vs academy, I think just 50 saboteurs can neutralize a full hp ballista. Too risky.
It was damn funny to see Asheera with 12 knowledge and good might stats. Now THAT was a battlemage!
Chain lightning against academy is a bad bad idea. Next thing you know it destroys half your flamelords..
Similarly seeing cold steel and leaving lava dragons near them just before a wizard's turn is not a prudent choice. You can easily expect a deep freeze or circle on them.
Finally the dwarven ranged units were left undefended and the rajas just walzed through.

So basically it targets the upper-right square of the large creature of the left player, and the upper-left square of the right player?

Since I'm still at HoF, I was not sure how many Saboteurs are needed to neutralize a full HP Baillista. I tought at least 200.

Hey, I only played two scearios with dwarves, never getting to build tier 5, 6, 7. I don't really know hot to use them, yet.
