Here's A Thought,
Why can't we simply take all the good parts from Islam, Christianity, Taoism, and Judaism, and live by the best creeds? Why not go with what works?
For example, people need to forgive other people now and again right?(christianity)
We humans are the smartest animals on the planet so how about we take care of it?(Judaism)
We should be humble and not proud or engrossed in ourselves.(Islam)
And lastly I think we are cyclicly linked to the other lifeforms of this planet forming a symbiotic circle of life and death. What one animal does may affect many others yes?(Taoism)
~ Now if only I could think of a name for this new religion we'd have ourselves a new beginning.

Okay, I can see the flaw right there that anyone could drive a bus through Shirastro.
The 2 do NOT contradict eachother, and could actually follow on from eachother:
We humans are the smartest animals on the planet so how about we take care of it?
AND BECAUSE WE KNOW WE ARE THE SMARTEST ANIMALS ON THE PLANET
We should be humble and not proud or engrossed in ourselves
IE: TAKE CARE OF THE PLANET.
Though, getting back on topic - You don't have to be a theologian or religious AT ALL to come up with either of those two statements - just two brain cells to rub together

The two do contradict each other.
Simply taking the fact that we are smartest for granted, and thinking we are supose to do something with this "gift" to change and arange things around us would be arogant.
This planet functioned quiet well much before we came around and you say we are supose to do something with it. That would be puting us on the higher place, giving us some "we are the chosen ones" status...in other words that would be very arogant.
Dont get me wrong, i'm not saying that humans are not the smartes animals on this planet, we are, but we are also the most egocentric ones too.....definitly not humble.
