Doesnt this scan work if i already have the computer?  I still havent bought the notebook, and if I wont be able to run heroes on this one I'd prolly chose another one...

I think I got a older DVD drive then you, but it reads the original H5 and the Add-on DVD with out any problems.
But sometimes the auto DVD feature fails to work. No matter the game. But then again you should be able to manually explore the dvd...
Return the DVD to the seller if new and scratch free, and let them try it.

Hopefull it's the right thread for my question.
Generating random map using ANY template returns the error at stage named "a 001", I guess at the very beginning. Game crashes and returns to Windows.
I would be thankful for any solutions to this problem.

Ooops  hehe...my fault. If you can try the machine in the shop, and it is connected to the internet, THEN you could use it
Try searching with the card name and Heroes of might and magic 5. Maybe you would find a answer

hey guys, is there any known issues with vista or a quad core. I made a new comp with a quad core,4gb ram,1 gb nvidia 8600gt. The vista upgrade is turning to be a curse, can't do most things with it, and in doubt if i would be able to run h5 without any complications

Multiplayer
I would like to play this game with other people, but my game cannot connect to Ubi. I have heard about this Hamachi Lan emulator. Can someone tell me more about it and help me to get it work.
Do custom duel presets work in multiplayer?
And I've heard that there are problems with mods when playing multiplayer? Should all players have same mods?

Go to http://www.oldapps.com/Hamachi.php
download version 1.0.1.5 (895 KB) of hamachi, and never update to ensure no desync problems.
When you install it I think it has a tutorial but it's fairly simple anyway. You create a network and tell your opponent the password and network name so he can join. Once he is in you enter H5 and play through local network.

Actually I tried using hamachi today and it was busy with all the people connected there so I had to wait for some time. Don't worry, you normally can connect with no problems.

Hello Everybody! I'm new here and sadly my first post will be a question.
Me and a friend of mine desperately want to play Heroes 5 TOTE in LAN.Everything seemed simple...we both downloaded the Hamachi version recommended by www.toheroes.com ,established a network, created a game and when we started playing we both got the message that the other one got disconnected. It is the same for duels too,we get disconnected right from the start. I have read somehing about a desync problem so we both deleted our maps,saves and mods but that didn't change anything,sadly.
I'd be grateful if someone could give me an answer and help me figure out what's the problem.

The game launches, but, as somebody already told, the screen after some time flickers and becomes black. The music is still playing, but i can`t do anything.

Plz help, plz help, plz help! Oh, nobody is listening? Maybe i should provide you with more info - i have downloaded a crack to disable copy-protection system(it`s annonying and i had fear that one good day the CD will CRASH...)from www.gamecopyworld.com. Could it cause the trouble?
Where i can find new drivers for my videocard? If i revert to previous videocard version, can it work? Will it help, if i reinstall Heroes?

@Rival commander: do you actually have the game? Simply patching it to 1.6 would fix your issue...
