Of course he can. He's a Necromancer. Who knows what he's able to do... drain the life force out of his victims to prolong his own, prevent himself from aging, whatever. The fact that he's able to live longer than any other human doesn't mean he's undead though.

LOL! Emilsn you're so funny Uhm, what points exactly are we trying to make here? Oh wait, there's more! Kilghan = Kilgor. And Kujin maybe related to Kunyak (Ku being the surname)? Dear me...
I was trying to say that even though we dont have Heroes like, Sandro, solmyr and Crag hack - Nival actully tried to make a tribute by making 1 barb. hero called: Kragh! Which sounds like Crag! .
And yes the others was weak, but i was just trying to say this: Urgash = demon, Barb. = Demon offspring. And the Barb. Heroes actully have verbal sounds like many from the demon culture. So Nival have actully made a strong connection not even just with the creatures but also with heroes! ...

I wonder if they'll ever attempt to tie those shoddy references to Crag and the others into their Ashan lore.

Doubtful, apart from Kragh there is no direct mention of anyone after the original game.

Hi All!
I've just finished with the campaign of ToTE and I thought I'll share my opinion about the story (sorry if I'm so obvious, or make spoilers). So the last scenario with Zehir was very tough, especially the last battle (only worked with 200 titans ), but I think the ending wasn't so good. Sure-sure, the battle was spectacular, and Biara met her doom witch is good and the heroes come to gather peacefully talking about a positive future, but that wasn't what I was expected when I got the game. So the name of the expansion is Tribes of the East, but despite that, at the ending orcs only got an auxiliary role. I taught that at the beginning when Quroq shouted "Orcs will rule the World!" he really meant it and the orc campaign will be sort of a world-conquest (or something like that ) and it will be the orcs ALONE to destroy Biara and then face the armies of good. I wasn't thinking of only two factions facing each other, instead I thought of at least 4 witch would had different goals (for example: orcs, demons, necros, Zehir & friends), like in the main games story line when there was Markal and his forces and the demon forces, witch intentions were different (if I can recall right). Therefore I think the storyline was a little disappointing, and at least Arantir could've shown his face at the last battle
By the way; did somebody notice that if you play the last scenario for too long, you get a UFO as a hero?

Actually, the way Ornella becomes a necromancer strongly suggests that the necromancers themselves are undead aswell. Not in the same way as their servants, but undead nonetheless. Besides, some of the normal necromancers definitely look like undeads, and all of them are more pale than a normal healthy human would be.
Another example would be Nicolai, although he seems to be a bit inbetween - under Markals control, but still with enough own will to be a hero rather than a simple vampire.
The only necromancer that might still be human would be Markal... although Asha knows how long he's been exiled.

@Skalle
I must disagree. Ofcourse i can see your point in the Orcs actully not doing what Gotai said, but I guess they are not that almighty! I just love that this game finally gets a ending with out leading DIRECTLY to another part of the game, this ofcourse gives good side stories but the main story gets wrapped up nice and well. and the game is told way better then HoF and HoMMV, which is a great plus!
And if you go a few sides back you can see links of the ufo i got, or go to the thread about funny ingame pictures, I posted them there too..

Well, you have a good point there, but I didn't sad that in my version, the game wouldn't have an ending that wraps up the full story
Besides I think there are still some story lines that aren't finished yet.

like they could show what happened to Raelag or why did went to the east. No matter, at least there will be something to make another expansion of (if the developers reconsider about this last expansion thing )

As I said already, they need not look like normal healthy humans to be human nonetheless. The simple fact that you are empowered with dark magical forces does not make you undead. Arantir, Zoltan, Raven and Markal don't look undead in the slightest to me. They are pale alright, but years of hanging around in graveyards and necropoli can do that to you. Unless they are trying to rip off Sandro's ability to conjure flesh to mask their undeath (which is doubtful to say the least) they ain't undead.
Now Kaspar, Naadir, Deirdre... oh yes, they're undead. Nicolai, Giovanni and Lucretia are Vampires. The others are quite clearly human. Alive until proven dead, I say.

Upon checking the contents of the data.pak file, I noticed there were two extra missions, on top of the ones listed in the campaigns. It seems they planned on a C3M5 mission (so the final campaign would be 5 maps, instead of just 4), but somehow skipped it ... the map in the data only contains a single Haven town, in a small patch of dust and ash, amidst a field of grass, with nothing else on it.
The other map, however, is a lot more interesting. It is actually a prelude to the prelude that you play with Quroq. In the pre-prelude, you play Narxes, who is going about the area to capture (by defeating them in combat) stacks of Demons and stacks of Humans. After several stacks, Orc units are generated in your Town (the only town on the map, by the way). Eventually, you will need to defeat both a Haven Hero (Glen) and a Demon Hero (Deleb), so you can "create" an Orc Hero (Kujin, although she's named "Orc Hero" in the mission).
The mission is not finished, it is still rough on the edges - no story line, quest information is sketchy and only contains the essentials (kill stack, return to castle), but the events work and the map is playable. It also looks pretty good: your town is about south of the map, south of a large mountain, which has a winding path to the top. On the top is the final mission objective, a stack of Balors (Pit Lords) that you need to defeat with the Orc Hero.
It was fun to see and play it; too bad they didn't finish it.
