Nice finding, Maurice. great stuff!
@bloucester: I feel sorry for you, man. Are you running out of disk space? If so clean up more. Alternatively: (1) chg graph card to 256; (2) add ur memory to 2GB; (3) buy another comp with different processor; or last (4) forget about the game...

the point, duncan (how's isabel? ), is that now there's a general tendency for games to be lighter (ref. fifa 08, some online games). The game requirements of H5 are
Buying staff is really nice but when it is useful.
Requirement 1 Windows Vista/XP/2000
Requirement 2 Processor: Pentium 4 1.5 GHz
Requirement 3 DirectX 9.0c
Requirement 4 1024 MB RAM
Requirement 5 Free hard drive space: 1 GB
Requirement 6 Video Card: AGP 128MB Directx 9.0c
Requirement 7 16-bits Sound Card
I have these. It doesn't work well. Nothing more to say.

Quote: Wow, that sounds very interesting. Maybe we can restore it?
Well, it's a playable map. If Sfidanza feels like it, I guess he can make it available for download. I don't think it's a matter of restoring it, as much as it needs a good finishing polish. Keep in mind, though, that dialogscenes are missing as well and we don't have the voice actor for Narxes either - plus Nival might have wanted to add some more storyline flavor that we're currently missing.
My guess is that they might actually finish this map in a patch and make it available for play.

What?? I live happily with Freyda now. *LOL*
In the HOMM series the requirements always climb up. Hmm... guess I'm just not that familiar with Sempron processor. OK then, I'll say no more, or else Alci would suggest us to take this issue to comp prob thread

guys, i played two games in ToE yesterday. I played vitorrio and got about lvl 20. Both times I had all the prerequisites (form the previous versions) to get divine guidance, retribution and later, aura of speed. yet i was never offered any of them. is there a change in the requirement? (btw power of dragons rules i got 4 of them and my seraphs went crazy)

@Maurice: I'll ask the question to Ubi about the extra map, and if there's no plan for it, I'll release it (myabe we'll find someone to finish it).
By the way, you didn't say it explicitly, but the map is really about the creation of the Orcs: facing the demon invasion, Narxes experiments by mixing human and demon blood to create fiercer creatures capable of rivaling the demons. Thus imp+gremlin=goblin, ...
About the last campaign map, I guess it's because the contract between Ubi and Nival included 15 campaign maps. They started with 3 campaigns of 5 as usual, but they later decided to add an orc prelude replacing one map in the last campaign. The fact that it's numbered A2C3M5 doesn't mean much, as they can have renumbered the 4 remaining scenarios to 1-4 anyway. Maybe you wonder why they didn't completely remove it... that goes with many tests/dev/unused stuff in data.pak. (it's gives us something to talk about anyway!)
@bloucester:
1. yes, skill requirements have changed in ToE. See the ToE skillwheel and manual.
2. You didn't tell us what your video card was. Added to the requirements is a list of supported cards.
What you can do anyway is make sure your video options are set to the minimum (AA, anisotropic filter, video quality...).

Hey guys. I think the most interesting feature here is the support for replays.I mean for the first time battles can be shared with the community and pro's will be differentiated from the newbees.
Are there any replay sites or projects for something like this?
And i'm not sure if there is any replay system for games(in their entirety).

thanks sfidanza
so if you play vittorio, you have to have flaming arrows in order to make your ballista extremely powerful. this means you CANNOT HAVE retribtion.
Retribution or flaming arrows. that is the question.
If you look at the requirements retribution needs battle frenzy (excellent for the marksmen) and flaming arrows needs archery (more excellent for the marksmen ). i tend to prefer to get archery instead of frenzy, yet this only applies to vittorio. and yet, is there another knight worth playing?

Ever noticed that when Ghost dragon attacks it's says applies Despair to enemy not Sorrow(EVEN IF THE ABILITY IS SORROW STRIKE NOT DESPAIR STRIKE)And many others, the Descriptions on the Heroes are incorect like the Wyvern guy it says 1hp per 2 levels but it's actually 2hp per 1 level. And many more I mean that's way from a completed game don't you think. And the Battle griffin bug after the rush dive is over and many and many more...,Those from NIVAL should better test their game first then release it

Legendary Hero, it was not to offend you.
And I know it is a small feature. But the Kingdom overview is really good! For people like me with a computer that has problems running this game 100%, using the kingdom overview instead of entering the town for 2min of intence lag while buying creatures, building and that stuff, is way more useful. A very easy and not big change to the game, but it works great. This game keep supricing me..

so in conclution... great games but here is a few things that might be unbalands: 1-vampirism- ones you get it there is no limit and nothing can stop you(on the adventure map ofcurse) and if you play agienst someone who haven't the spell he's stack. not so balanced if you ask me forthemore inferno dungeon and necro have a better chance to get it(haven sylvian arn't) 2-that sword something gudens to powerfull and unfaire until i collect 50 lvl7 (no matter with what faction) why should i lose all of them with one stuped spell?! 3-dangeon's lvl 1 and 6 alter's the invisibel is over powered to with a dungeon hero in lvl 15 or higher i can walk with 7 lvl one or 6 and no one can do anithing obuot it. a spesiely "before" the last battle i can demege the enemy seriesly aspesiely if he in my area or even clser for my town it makes me to cast at least 3 or 4 powerfull spell's withuot the enemy can do anything little unbalansed.............
what do you think guis? and i have a question though the secondery skill are changed? someone know something obout that? (elvin?) by the way sore for my good english fill free to correct me any time (if you have energy to write alot...............   @@@@@@ theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ELVE

Vampirism: it makes your unit Undead in all respects, and it gives it the Vampirism ability just like Vampires have it. Are Vampires overpowered? I don't think so. As an aside: Vampirism only works in melee attacks and does not drain life from Elemental and Undead creatures. So if a unit has Vampirism and you cannot cure it: use ranged attacks, spells, or Undead and/or Elemental creatures against it.
Divine Guidance spell? Or Divine Vengeance? I think you mean the latter; it's actually quite costly in mana (14 mana per cast) and only deals damage based on the amount of kills the stack on which it is cast, has made since the start of the battle. Besides, Black Dragons are immune, since they are immune to all Magic. Counter it by using Counterspell, boost your magic resistance with Artifacts or cast the Magical Immunity spell on the unit, before Divine Vengeance lands on it.
Invisible level 1 and 6 Dungeon units: You can still cast Area of Effect spells on their location and this will damage them. In addition, moving units through the spots where the invisible units are standing, or directly next to them, will reveal them again.
