I don't really like the red orcs, apart from the goblin...
(let's give him a chainsaw btw)
and if they were black? (I still prefer my blue ones btw, but I guess it's not a problem if I play with blue orcs, and you play with white or red ones)

Quote: I've already corrected the tags "Upgrade" and "BaseCreature" (or something like that) on my creatures and on official creatures too.
I don't know what is the tag "PairCreature" exactly
"PairCreature" must be always with the value "CREATURE_UNKNOWN"
"BaseCreature" must be always with the ID of the creature non-upgraded in the same family.
Ex: BaseCreature for "Boxeur" must be CREATURE_BROWLER (Batailleur)
Ex: BaseCreature for "Gargouille de Pérédontite" must be CREATURE_STONE_GARGOYLE (Gargouille de Pierre)
etc etc
and... i would like to know what program you use to edit XDB files.

isn't the 'pair creature" an alternative upgrade? In this case, would it be possible to change all the tags in a way that thy would be groupped by three alternative upgrades each?

2 tags exists named "Upgrade"
the first is "Upgrade" in singular
the second is with a "s" (Upgrades)
"PairCreature" was used to inform which creature become this creature if this creature is upgrading.
Upgrade without "s" is boolean value (true/false) to signal if this creature is a base one or a upgraded one
But, Upgrades (with s) allow to signal directly the creatures's ID can become the creature if it is upgrading.
For now, only 2 creatures can be see in this tag and only for creature that their tag "Upgrade" is false.
(So, this MOD is innovator because the Upgrade tag of all creatures is true and the Upgrades tag is not empty)
But, we can test what will happen if we would add a third ID like the ID of alternative third upgrade...
There are chance that game crashs....and maybe not

And maybe combine it in the way that:
Basic upgrade -> alternative upgrade -> new upgrade -> basic upgrade again?
If it happens to work, we will be able to use new creatures not only in hill fort ^^

I actually think the blue ones is the best so far! Red would look too much like inferno ones like Warmonger said!
And whites gonna look like a "old no-colour heroes game" as Alc said!
So keeping the blue ones is maybe the best! It's just that blue orc sounds wierd to me?

it doesn't crash. it just doesn't work, and I wonder if it's because the window showing the different upgrades is too small?

Hello,
I aligned all Creatures upgrade 3 on a map
And from this fact, we can see bugs...
On first screen shot, we can see that simplet doesn't have a animset
and Griffon de Guerre doesn't have a skin
On second, we can see that 5th inferno creature and 6th dwarf one has
peasant model..
And finaly on third, the second of stronghold is like 4th...
And her name is "Fille de la Nuit" and this is the same name of one
creature by Morrock...

By this ocassion we can see most creatures are too dark, however my Bear Rider colour looks great
I can hardly imagine how could Fauch not see these bugs before

I'm not sure but it looks like the war griffin has a skin. (yes, a white one)

weird problem, I have an idea from where it may come.

not your mistake? I thought the adventure models were the same than the arena models in TotE?
Quote:

tell him to change his name
I'll work on that later. tomorrow or the day after...

because my upgrades never appeared on the adventure map.

I knew there were problems with the scatter arrow ability, but from what I remember, the artificer was one of my only creatures with this ability who didn't make the game crash (or maybe was it the former unupgraded artificer? (at the time when he was supposed to be a neutral unit))
simonak (or whoever can see my creatures on the adventure map) , can you modify a link in
Characters/Creatures/Renegades/WarGriffin_LOD.xdb
Quote:
<Materials>
<Item href="/WarGriffin_100_lambert4.(Material).xdb#xpointer(/Material)"/>
</Materials>
I think it should be : WarGriffin-WarGriffin_100_lambert4.(Material).xdb
for the simplet :
Character/Creatures/Renegades/Simplet_LOD.(CharacterView).xdb
Character/Creatures/Renegades/Simplet_LOD.(Character).xdb
replace the link : Simplet-arena.xdb
by : Simplet_LOD-arena.xdb
there's no problem with the file Simplet-arena.xdb since the creature moves normally in combat (from what I remember) and no problem with the character files since the creature has a model.
the 2 next creatures don't only have the peasant model, they also have the animset. logically it has something to do with the character file, I'm gonna search...
