I picked energy weapons for my first play through and after being shocked at how awful they had become, switched to guns. The only weapon that seemed to do any good from that line was the flamer, and if that is your best available weapon, something is clearly wrong.

Hahahaha, Black Mountain Radio is hilarious!
I can't bring myself to walk up there and kill the mutants off, their leader has a totally hilarious radio show 
"Also joining us from his locked cell is Raul Tejada, master mechanic, who can be EXECUTED AT ANY TIME! Hello, Raul, or should that be Hola?"
"Uh, either one works."
"Today you DIE Raul! I COMMAND IT!"
"Ooh, Raul! Supreme Commander Tabitha says you die today! What's your reaction?"
"I going to obey Supreme Tabitha. Claro. Whatever she say. Just, I feel so bad...I die before I fixed her special robot."
"GrraaAAAAGH!"
The mutant accent is half of the hilarity though

haha yup Black Mountain Radio is the best 
The first time I heard it I just couldn't stop laughing, it's so hilarious.
The best is when she talks about the Centaurs, those lovable creatures and the cute way the flap around on all those arms...
To bad though the radio can only be heard nearby the mountain and that it is so short :/

Just went up and wiped 'em out anyway.
Holy... ****. Annabelle is a fricking beast of a weapon. Man I'm glad I invested in all those explosives perk now 
Phew, glad I sniped that Nightkin before he fired at me with that thing.

Energy weapons were terrible pre-patch 1.2 (I think it's 1.2? Dunno.), the most recent one, where they are actually close to on par with most other forms of weapons.
Tabitha was hilarious, she beat out Mr. New Vegas by far, and actually rivaled Three Dog in terms of personality for me.

Decided that the Legion is evil and that it had to die earlier today.
Stormed their main fort, killed everything I met with one shot with the YCS/186.
'Cept for one dude who I spotted with my scope. He was hunched over like he was scared, so I shot him for a few times and was surprised that he could take it. Curiously I unleashed 5 more shots into his ass which just made him run around even more.
"Well ****" I said and ran after him, deciding that it needed to end more up-close.
"Oh, it was a child", I say, and children cannot be killed in New Vegas, even if you blast them with 15 critical YCS rounds.
Feeling kinda morally confused I decided to walk up and kill Ceasar off for dressing children in military uniforms. Left C4 outside his tent, went inside and lured everyone out, pressed detonator, killed off stragglers with YCS.
Still haven't received any real reward for it. Meh. I was hoping the NCR would appreciate me killing off their greatest threat single-handely a bit more than just dropping random cheerful comments.
Planning my next playthrough now... getting kinda bored of this one. Think I'm gonna go melee stealth just for fun.

Bout halfway into the main quest, but don't.
Legion sucks hard, they get no quests compared to NCR and you're KOS for like 50% of the map.

I kept trying to free Benny with the stealthboy/pin, which apparently didn't work, so I was forced to slaughter everyone in Caesar's tent.
This was where I first gained significant respect for Ballistic Fists as an extremely powerful weapon.

There should be an achievement for not stealing anything in the game
Would be absolutely impossible for me. No matter how goody-two-shoes-help-everyone-for-no-reward my character is I can't keep my hands off the goodies.

Yup, easy as pie. There's also a hilarious video where someone picks up a bucket, drops stuff into it, drags it to the bathroom in the back of the store where no one can see, and then picks it up.
They did this for the entire store, too.
