Is there any point to becoming a millionaire in vanilla legendary edition? I am half way there, speechcraft is not even 100 yet so I am left to believe 500k is decent but not uncommon.
There is never really anything worth buying anymore, except filled soulgems and other gems (rubies etc just to throw in my safe as a collection), I grab all the higher end arrows, sell a couple of potions and move on. It's still fun but the gold feels useless at this point.

Same here, but what disappointed me the most is the magic, which sucks as in every Heroes game as well.
Prepared my destructions 100 level for a while, distributed the right perks, have the gear for-destructions buffed by 267%-, have even a mod increasing damage by 25%, then I go out and try to take a single bandit with dual fire balls and get my a$$ badly kicked, while I can take him in a fraction of second with one daedric arrow.
Destruction is a joke, going to take back all perks wasted into.

Because you have skyre OR you've over-levelled with enchanting, smithing and stuff.
Vanilla destro works just fine if you play a mage but it's not designed for master of everything characters.

Bragging rights. Other than that not really. (And you bother to BUY filled Soulgems? Get yourself a weapon of Soul Trap, go hunting.  ) Maybe use the sell-and-buy-back loophole to boost your Speech up to 100 (I left ~100,000 Septims in Farengar's inventory doing that IIRC), or buy all the houses if you haven't done that already.

Just buying the soulgems and filling up boxes in my house, must have at least 200 for when and if I want to run through enchanting levels again I have captured several as well. I am fading into the not give a sno* mode though, beyond exploring and fighting stuff, maybe collecting named items. ]
Spoiler(((Disenchant for banishing, paralyze and if wanted we can even turn a pickaxe or iron weapon into 3k+ value. Potions are easy to make stacks upon stacks of 'Slow' and some others (para, damage magic regen i think, etc) that go for 1k + at 0.5 weight each)))
Another perk of buying the soulgems is the stacks dont split up on me + I just get the gold right back anyways.

On the destruction, maybe my vanilla experience talking here... And I was running destruction levels on adept/expert, maybe wearing full light armor and not robes helped my formidably as well. Have you found above fireball though?
However by smithing a fully maxed one handed ax and Bow with some perk investments, destruction doesn't begin to scratch compared to one handed and archery. Though I have not seen a master spell yet either.
P.S. It seems to me every book I pick up valued at "22" gold starts a quest.

Well, when level 100, anything that does not kill in a second sucks for me. When you have daedric arrows, why bother with magic if no faster?
And archery has also the zoom which is awesome.

My favorite playstyle is one handed with shield, and a bow.
I am looking forward to getting 2 handed weapon up and over with (as well as heavy armor), where I will switch to my favorites ;D

I am also confused with weapons choice. Every metal proposes some 10-15 one/two handed swords, but there is nothing specified except the damage and price. Why propose 10 swords if you will always smith the one with bigger damage? Only if smallest ones would offer increased speed, but nothing lets you think there is such thing.

Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think the type of metal affects speed at all.
Weapon- Mace / Ax / Sword / Dagger!!
Speed - Slowest / medium / faster / Fastest
Damage- High / Medium / low / lowest
Range: (i can only assume)
Maybe the weight (light or heavy IE Glass VS Dwarven) does?

Have no idea but sometimes I get splattered by some fosworn with dual swords and he hits me like 10 times before I have the time to even block. Either AI cheats or some weapons are indeed very fast.

Since the game is a sequel to Morrowind, I guess the same applies, which means daggers are the fastest weapons, and spears have the longest range.

There are no spears in Skyrim. Unless you count the Riekling Spears in Dragonborn, but I believe those are only usable by the player as arrows.
@Salamandre: I believe there's an enchantment or special available on some weapons that makes them faster than normal--the Zephyr Bow in Dawnguard, and maybe some others. Also the Forsworn might have perks in the Dual-wielding section of One Handed, there's one that makes your attacks faster.

The Longhammer is an orcish warhammer that swings faster than a greatsword, best DPS of any twohander and can be enchanted. So there's that.
Orc craftsmanship superior.

Well, Skyrim is great...for 2 weeks. Got bored, same actions, same quests, same creatures to fight. Some mods are awesome but the early phase takes too long, starting a new character is tedious. CTD's often, too often.
Reaching daedric weapons is quick, even with slower mods, and once you got them, there is no progress anymore. Bad timing I would say.
Still an interesting experience, at least now I know there is no point in buying MMX, probably same kind.
