Memory leaks, mostly. It crashes once every 1-2 hours and is constant, so is not about mods.

You sure you didn't go over the memory limit with mods?
That CAN happen.
Though there was supposed to be a fix for that...

No, I had about 40 mods, all tiny except SkyRE and Faskaar which are medium. I see a lot of reports about random crashes, so consider yourself very lucky or maybe you had the right gear, or...

Salamandre said: starting a new character is tedious.
I am pretty much a one character kind of player in most games / MMORPGs I have played. Putting all the development and focus on one. But with skyrim I find more reason for this. It is not even like I can talk to a friend and say "meet my new toon here with this $$$ and godsword"
It all goes back to scratch.
It is a great game surely. but I am very hesitant to start over. However Bretons 50% magic resistance, switching to my PC and selling my 360 are tempting perks to starting over. Or if I have time again ill check out another game who knows.

I've seen Kakuna and I've seen Marowak. Were the devs for Morrowind Pokemon fans or did the Pokemon devs play Morrowind?

Okay, so I started again the whole thing and this time worked on mods setup a bit until I got the good mixture. I still play with skills uncapper but I set Sneak to maximum of 100, Enchanting to 150 max, thus game keeps challenging. Removed all mods which gave me Robin Hood powers so now I need about 4-5 daedric arrows to kill something (except when sneaking, that is still one shot is not caught).
Got some exceptional extra mods (only on Steam workshop they are), as Auto-harvest which is simply amazing: all plants you come by end in your pocket, you don't even have to look at, turn, press bar or whatever.
Another is Solar crafting kit, it allows you to have portable craft tools, workbench, alchemy lab and such.
Mine markers, even if minor mod, is very helpful, it shows what kind of mine is (ore, silver etc) on map.
For fasting mining, there is one mod increasing mining animation by 500%. Will save you about 15 hours for the whole game.
So, finished the main quest and now playing a bit the factions, and exploring caves, only level 40 this time. It would be a fantastic game if only there weren't so many bugs, characters not responding, quests not becoming flagged and so on. Often, I have to search on net, find that quest command then advance from console from where I am stuck. A pity.

Can someone start an elderscrolls online thread? I would but I am not informed enough. I know about the editions, the starting bonuses, 5 day early access, 9(10) known playable races, 3 alliances, etc etc, but I am not considering myself knowledgable about the game. here is some introduction to ESO. The action is at about the 12th minute
I have a feeling it will be considered by most, the best MMO.

@Celf: As the game isn't out yet I don't think ANYONE is very knowledgeable about it. Or at least, not knowledgeable and able to talk about it.

Yeah, there's a NDA on it. But general consensus seems to be that it's an okay game but it's not going to revolutionize anything.
But meh, monthly subs, no thanks.

The guy who made BSA unpacker is an idiot. AN IDIOT!
No *ini file you could setup, the path to unpack is by default your game DATA folder, and no way to change it. So if you have the bad idea to unpack something (for example I wanted to have a look at nif files in 3DS max), it will overwrite all your mods (meshes unpacked replace your mods meshes folder and so on). Then your saves are gone, game unplayable.
I can't believe I just broke my game that way. Now I have to reinstall all Skyrim game, and then all mods, again.

Nope, because now my Data folder is corrupted with meshes from Dragonborn expansion, and I have no knowledge which are from. The game reads first meshes from data folder before reading those from BSA files, so is all messed.
The thing is that when I pressed "unpack" it did not ask me a path to specify, as every intelligent made unpacker does. It just overwrote the existing files.

I don't recall if Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data comes without folders on clean install. Now I have a lot of folders in, generated by mods. When you remove a mod via NNM it removes the bsa/esp files but not always the folders (meshes, textures and SKSA scripts).

That is why you don't use NMM, it cannot handle loose files properly.
