When I saw the throne melt I was sure that this will be a symbol of the empire dissolving into 7 different kingdoms, but noooo. For some inexplicable reason they need to have a common ruler. And even when Sansa declined to be a part of it no one said "Wait a second, we can do that? Then I'm out too."

So what was all that snow from Melisandre about Arya, "closing brown eyes, blue eyes, and green eyes". Honestly Arya becoming a pirate was the most out of the blue thing they could have done. Is she hunting down Drogon or something? Also Bran being the King? Ugh. What a stupid way. Also the only reason Sansa wanted the North to remain independent is because she wanted to be Queen. The series should have been called Game of Starks instead. Now there are only 7 Great Houses left. Tyrell and Targaryen and both gone.
About Arya I was more thinking about her destiny turning out to be the one who killed the Night King. Her going navigator felt unexpected to me as I wanted to know more on her path as a faceless etc which I was really digging. But well, it still somehow works. I liked that they decided of a common ruler but Bran really felt like, Idk, easy? A bit like I said the whole episode felt to me like "See? We had it planned all along and it's not what you expected"from the writers, which on one hand I find clever but on the other also weak. Like when Bran tells Jon "you were where you needed to be", I mean, okaaayyy???.... Oh well.
And yeah, the secondary characters are the ones ending up with the best social position, but it all goes with the big picture.
All in all even if the show lost quality in the writing department near the end, I am very happy that in 20 years I'll be able to say: "I was there live when it happened!" Definitely this series has entered the pop culture and will remain something big in the minds of all, that was almost a ten years ride?

Yeah, like every cult classic it will be remembered many years in the future. It's really a shame many people have taken such a bashful stance against it. The final seasons weren't bad, but seems people who think like that are in the minority. People are in the right that it could've been made better, but I think the expectations blew through the roof at some point. Many things can be explained or have some kind of relation to previous events, but people prefer to be like "the script is s*it!", because it's easier to whine or they simply don't want to hear explanations as they feel miserable with how their favorite character story arc unraveled. And like one of my friends said "GoT is supposed piss off people"
It's especially sad that now, whenever I see something related to GoT a big part of comments are like "this is s*it" or "don't wanna hear any more about it (spinnoffs etc)". Ofc many people do mention that they mostly hated the last seasons, but the effect is that the overall reception of the series makes it seem really bad, less so then it deserves...

Talking about spin-offs, maybe that’s why Arya ended up as an explorer, a new show with adventures of her and the crew with new characters can be interesting.

But even more things cannot or at too poor on that department, I don't think I need to go through it in details I'm sure all the negative critics covered all the issues. On a more positive note, I know one writer who is benefiting from a huge advertising for the next books he'll publish and sell.

Oh you can count on that, it seems pretty clear to me with this series being over that spinoffs are going to pop up everywhere, and Arya's adventure as an explorer is too good of an option to pass by.

Arya sailing away was a nod to a dialogue from a few seasons back where she was interested in "what is West of Westeros".
Ah yes I had forgotten about that.
Also, this is how I envisioned the final episode going
It's treason, then.

Come to think of it, GOT could've used some lightsaber duels. I would've loved this ending. What we got instead was Jon betraying Dany, and he didn't even get burned for it.

Jon, Arya, Tyrion, and Davos enter the throne room. Dany looks from where she is sitting on the Iron Throne.
"Jon! I take the remaining kingdoms have submitted to my rule? I must say you are hear sooner than expected."
"In the name of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros," Jon, Arya, and Davos draw their swords, Tyrion stands to one side, "you are under arrest, My Queen."
"Are you threatening me, Mister Stark?" Dany sneers.
"The Kingdoms will decide your fate." Jon says.
"I am the Kingdoms!"
"Not yet."
Dany slowly stands from the throne, a Valyrian Steel sword appearing into her hand. "It's treason then." Daenerys then launches herself from the throne, doing a 1080 degree spin in mid air. She lands in front of Davos and stabs him, then spins and attacks Arya. Arya deflects one blow before she is killed as well, leaving only Jon.
Que an epic battle that eventually leads into Jon disarming Dany and backing her against a wall. Suddenly Drogon descends from the sky and lands. He looks back and forth between the two Targaryens.
"You have lost." Jon says pointing his sword at Dany's neck.
"No, no, noo, you will die!" Lightning flies from Dany's fingertips. Jon blocks it with his sword. "He's a traitor!" Dany yells.
"She is the traitor!" Jon yells back. Drogon continues to look back and forth between the two, unsure of who to trust.
"I-I-I can't hold on any longer." The lightning dies fizzles out and Dany falls back against the ground. "Help me! Help Me!"
"I am going to end this, once and for all." Jon says
"You can't!" A voice pipes up. Tyrion emerges. "She must stand trial."
"She has control of the Unsullied and the Dothraki! She's to dangerous to be left alive!"
Jon does not look convinced. He raises he sword up, preparing to strike Dany down. She begins to beg.
"NO!" Tyrion yells.
Drogon lunges, biting Jon's arm clean off. He screams in agony.
Dany face brightens into an evil grin. "Power!" She screams. Lighting flies from her fingertips again, striking Jon's body. Drogon lets of a breath of flame at the same time, following his Mother's que. "Unlimited Power!"
Jon is reduced to a pile of ash.
Whew. I may have gotten a little carried away lol.

I snowing hated it. The ending. I'm an ex-christian and that felt like some exhibit 1 in X-tian sado-masochistic morality. The woman with power needs to be killed by "Jesus" who loves her, for her own sake. Snowing disguising.
And folks.. I'm right-wing. But I hated that. I hated it so much. Never liked Dany until the last season, beacuse she felt so two-dimensioned and cliche Good™. -.-
And then... we got this.

Well I was kinda going for a different scene here.
I also like that no one has commented or cared about Daenerys shooting lightning from her fingers like the Sith Lord she is XD
