*spoilers?*
Season 3 should be interesting, all the small differences might just add up nicely enough for me to take a peek again.

Like I wrote on the Mount&Blade forums about the Red Wedding:
-Roose Bolton should have played a more major role. First, he should have left and re-entered armoured like in the books. He must, on my opinion, have been the one to cut Caetlyn's throat in the end, and whisper to HER in the ear: "Jaime Lannister sends his regards"(Like in the books would explain Caetlyn's later too personal hatred in the books for Jaime), or shout when killing Robb:"Tywin Lannister sends his regards". The movie line "The Lannisters send their regards" isn't good enough.
-Caetlyn should have ripped her cheeks.
-Lord Walder should have finished his speech.
-The Rains of Castamere should have been dramatically sung during the whole event, like some sort of creepy-tragic background music.
Anyway a 4-Pics resume of the episode:

Bookreaders, we get that television is an abysmally inferior media compared to the perfection that is ink on paper, but would you kindly **** off to your own thread? ò_O
You have no idea how annoying you are.
As for the last episode, I loved it. I really like the small council meetings cuz the power difference becomes so evident Tywin telling Joffrey to go to bed hahahahaha.... ah so awesome.

Why Game of Thrones is based on Sweden
You should click on this link to see the text together with its photos.
Winter is coming
Never before has the catchphrase of a TV programme been more suited to Sweden. From the very first day of spring in Sweden, Swedes (usually still sporting winter coats) will grumble that the next winter is coming - even though the last one has only just finished.
Westeros
Game of Thrones is set in the fictional Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. People in Sweden delight in this fact, as one of Sweden's largest cities is called Västerås, pronounced almost exactly the same. Could it be that author George R. R. Martin had a map of Sweden close at hand while penning his masterpieces?
Västerås itself
As this picture makes evident, winter always seems to be coming to Västerås (English exonym West Aros). Unfortunately, Västerås is largely dull in comparison to Westeros, boasting not a single dragon. However, Sweden's fifth largest city does have a fascinating history dating back to Viking Age, and even has the country's largest burial mound, Anundshög, which measures about 60 metres in diameter and dates from the 10th century.
The Tale of Two Princes
Take a look at Sweden's Prince Carl Philip (left) and Jon Snow. Fur coat, rugged yet somewhat well-maintained beard, and a look that suggests each has seen one too many bitter winters. It's obvious - Jon Snow is based on the Swedish prince. Having said that, perhaps the prince is dressing up during winter to look more like Lord Eddard "Ned" Stark's snow son. Impossible to know, easy to appreciate.
Lord Snow
"You know nothing, Jon Snow, eh... I mean Your Royal Highness Prince Carl Philip of Sweden" - Wildling heroine Ygritte gets her southerners mixed up.
The Blonde
Daenerys Targaryen, the original stereotype of a blonde, blue-eyed Swedish woman... or is she?
The Dye-Job Blonde
No - she's a brunette! Actress Emilia Clarke is in fact even more like the typical Swedish blonde as she relies on the peroxide bottle for her golden tresses, just like so many Swedish women do. Though they'd never admit it.
What's in a name? (Mini spoiler alert)
One of the two key families in the show, the Stark family, shares its name with a rather common Swedish word - Strong. Yes, Stark is the Swedish word for strong, which you might think is a rather apt name for the Game of Thrones family until you consider that most of them have been killed off already.
What's in a name - Part 2
The quiet and reserved character Sansa Stark is also befitting of her Swedish name. In Swedish, the reflexive verb sansa (att sansa sig) means to calm yourself down. A perfect match, no? There's no doubt Mr. George R.R. Martin never had his Swedish dictionary far from hand.
Parallel geography
A long and thin land boasting a frozen north (full of wolves), a bustling hub of immigrant-rich trade in the south, a capital city somewhere on the south-eastern coast, and archipelagoes sprouting off the east and west coasts. Are we talking about Sweden, or Westeros? The answer: Both.
The White Walkers
The frightening fellows of the north don't have much to say, do they? And neither do the White Walkers from the Game of Thrones. In all seriousness though, the usually untalkative inhabitants of Sweden's far north, the Norrlänningar, aren't quite as dangerous to the realm as those frozen zombies are, but they are used to the snow
The Love Match
Sometimes, you just gotta do what your heart tells you, even though it may land you in what actress Oona Chaplin (above) once called "political inconvenience", when her character marries the King of the North, Robb Stark. And as you'll see, Swedish royals aren't immune to such matches...
The Successful Love Match
Sure, rumours went aswirling that the Swedish king didn't want his daughter and heir Victoria to marry her personal trainer. But she did! And won more than Prince Daniel's heart in the process, as the Swedish people adored her man-of-the-people pick. "Thank you for giving me my prince," she told the crowd on her 2010 wedding day, to rapturous effect.
Finally: There will be blood (Major spoiler alert)
Never trust a Frey, is the lesson from Game of Thrones' penultimate episode from season three when a seemingly amicable wedding turns into a bloodbath. But could this be inspired by Swedish history? Swedish nobility frighteningly learned a similar lesson the hard way back in 1520 when a promise of amnesty from a (former?) adversary had dire consequences indeed, when dozens of nobles and clergymen were butchered by Danish King Kristian in a three-day banquet now known as the Stockholm Bloodbath.

Tolkien took everything in his fantasy universe from various European mythology. It shouldn't matter if your work is entirely original or not as long as it's got quality.

Good God, what the hell, why..? I did think that Talisa going to the Twins might not have been the best of ideas but I did not expect this kind of graphic conclusion. Robb just like that? Catelyn too..? And oh for Chrissakes, not the wolfie! So depressing..
I was also surprised that they made me feel pity for Theon Greyjoy. Very surprised. Ramsay is the ultimate troll.
The Khaleesi storyline is just too good to be true, the girl has a guardian angel. Given her Messianic role I wouldn't be surprised if she somehow was the chosen of the Light or something. Attagirl ^^
Tywin is such an awesome fellow, he just knows how to put everyone in their place Joffrey is a whiny beetch as usual but he is digging his own grave, it is interesting to see how the balance of powers is shifting. Sandor maxed my respect points when he said **** the king and he has been awesome ever since ^^ He and Arya are a fun travelling couple and the same can be said of Jaime and Brienne. Jaime is a fun guy after all, who knew?
Next season's focus seems pretty clear, I can now see why the series was named as it was. And I am curious of Melissandre's role in the events to come, the series gets more and more supernatural.

I feel so attached to the Greyjoys, their music, their morals, their god, everything. Just as well, I'm in a serious viking/indiscriminate raiding phase at the moment, and the Greyjoys are just lovely. Theon Greyjoy is one of the most disliked characters, and it's a shame that he gets so much face time, hopefully in the next series his sexy sister will play a more prominent role, I wanna see some damn lootin'!

also I was reffering to the show, not the books. It's bound to happen.

lol. I didn't pick up that Tywin changed his name to "jeffy" between seasons 3 and 4.
I liked the ep. It's a pretty standard season opener but it sets all the important storylines in motion (sansa/dontos partnership, the jaime underdog storyline, daenerys in meereen, oberyn's revenge arc).
It's been a while since I last LOVED arya but i'm back on board again. what a badass <3 I also loved that this episode was mostly Jaime-centric (who is my second favourite character in the series, after Varys who was absent)
Brienne and Tormund starring cast members <3 I hope Diana Rigg is promoted in season 5. Her Queen of Thorns is fantastic.
I'm glad to see Indira Varma in another HBO production (i loved her in Rome). Pedro Pascal's Oberyn is less suave than book Oberyn, but I love the barely contained malice in each of his actions <3
