My faction themes
IMHO while Ashan's Inferno is Chaos-themed and madness is definately a part of Chaos, its less-than-subtle nature would mean its madness should is mostly of the sadistic/psychotic/perverse kind. It demonstrates a different kind of madness, and unlike the Void what lies in Sheogh is well-known and (rightly) feared. Anyway, IMHO an ideal Demonic faction should be more about Evil- sin for its own sake- than any particular detication to Order (somebody like Kha-Beleth for example seems quite orderly) or Chaos. I'd take my inspiration to Inferno from medieval classics like Dante's Inferno, or possibly more modern takes like Hellraiser. I prefer them as twisted reflections of humanity's sin and pain, and thus units like Breeder IMHO fit it less.
Necropolis IMHO should and has a chance to be different. In their search for immortality and the secrets of the soul, these ex-Wizards delved ever deeper and discovered Asha's most vicious aspect. But for some, Sandro being the most infamous, even this was not enough and they looked ever beyond, into the Void and the power it offered. Asha's Necromancers serve what they view as a balance, or cosmic Order. Void Necromancers want power, knowledge and eternity, and they would do whatever it takes to get it.
BTW- the slimy underground horror maddening secret theme also fits Dungeon, especially with creatures like Faceless and Lurkers and Malassa's nature as Godess of Secrets. They could become real creepy, given the right style.
About colors- I'd make Void Necropolis black-purple, and Dungeon black-dark blue just for change's sake.

I'm 100% against lovecraft.
Yes, lets put more than ten tentacles on it, more or less than two eyes, a mouth on strange location and a at least two or three Y's or X's in the name that is preferable more than 20 letters long and has some -'s.
Lovecraft doesn't really suit HOMM games in my opinion, except for some monsters maybe spreaded through Inferno and Dungeon.
Only creature I would like is the Nightgaunt.

If done right, a Lovercraftian Necropolis would work very well, especially with he void
a void necropolis? Then i guess i could agree. To diferentiate it from inferno i guess theycould make the town a proper stone/metal town and have the tentacles in the creatures. I really think it should be metal, blue, dark, floating and without square shapes. Like a lovechild of the forge (dont hate me) and the h3 necropolis
I think something like the Fallen from armies of Exigo for the creatures would fit too. The first tier of creatures are insects. The second tier are "deep" elves (that universe take on dark elves, but they dont look like the typical dark elves) and the last tier are the void creatures proper.

I wouldn't want anything too unique in Necro tbh. Vampires, Zombies, Skeletons, Wights all the way. Dullaham maybe - but even if Rakhasha explained them very well, i still think having full army of them would greatly devaluate their status, and with game mechanic would become simple H3 "Dread Knights" with their head choped off ... wich again i don't like very much. Much rather would i see a hero character, that is Dullaham - or a boss.
I don't mind having 2-3 creatures in "classic" lineup replaced with something new, nor do i mind having Vampires instead of Vampire (Carmila came before Dracula... and also there's Countess Bathory who was linked with vampires a few times... so idea isn't that new, but it is something we don't see anymore in newer times). Actualy the way Vampires are portrayed by Ubi (and i dare say in H7 we will again see the same "emo" look on them), i even prefer to have them female.
Now im not saying that im completley against something unique ... but i would then rather have completley new faction then. Because if you change every single creature this is what you get.

I wanted to make fun of community and for once play a role of trickster, but then I realized that I don't like all of those "OMG! Leaked unit! Look! Look!" jokes. So, here it's is - this is how I imagine Dread Knight:
We already know Ubi well so I've added a lot of green, some spider symbols and death haze .

Did you just make this out of the blue, drawing it yourself, or is it based on something else, and you are a Photoshop wizard?

Let's say that I'm a Photoshop Wizard's Apprentice .
I've used the official Cavalier artwork from the H7 website and aided myself with other graphics. There was a lot of touching up, so I won't mention it... I don't won't subtexts here .

Awesome photoshop skill! I hope this will be true.

I don't know anything about world of warcraft, but no, nothing childish.
This floating skull must NOT be attached to the "neck" but float above it or behind it.

It's not so much that it's childish... It's just that Ubi seem to copy WoW a lot in regards to the art style ... specialy of you look at H5

Nope, nope, nope, no heads - even spectral - for him. Headless horseman is cool, because he (or she) doesn't have a head. Giving him some "substitute" would destroy a whole effect. Especially when we think about battleground. During the battle combat map is usually zoomed out. Small "headless horseman with fake head" would look like normal "dread knight". Head would seem to be on its place and again... we'll get a boring unit.
Pardon my English, I'm full of flu medicines.

Your flu medicines brought us that glorious artwork, so I'd say your flu-addled English is fine.
But, yes, I'd like this headless version over a "headed" version. However, when super zoomed out on the adventure map, it'd still be a little hard to tell if it really had a head or not, but on the battlefield it should be fine enough. However, you did add those green wispy tendrils coming from the neck hole, so I suppose that's what he meant. I wouldn't mind those existing or not.

Thank you, it means a lot for me and for my pharmacist .
This "tendril" (as you called it) was supposed to be an aesthetic form of haze. Imagine a puff of smoke/haze floating over a neck of the headless horseman.
