No - that means that each building will have to be made one time, then modified slightly 5 or 6 times using photoshop or similar program, to adjust lightning and add snow on roofs. I mean ... how hard is to add snow on roofs? I bet most of ppl here can do it no problem... and they (we) are not profesional artists, working for multi-milion dollar company.

Snow on roofs is nothing dude. What do you do when you have to adapt Sylvan and Sanctuary to lava terrain for example? No amount of reconstruction would fix townscreens that are just flawed at a concept level.

There could be terrain restrictions for obv reasons and I do not think they take more than two to five lines of code.

Terrain restrictions as in certain towns being unable to be placed on certain terrains? Because that would be just a straight downgrade. How about just keeping things as they always were, with towns having just one original townscreen showing irrespective of the map placement...

Exactly. You don't have to start from scratch each time, you can simply modify material that's already existing each time, after you've drawn it once. Takes less time and effort, I guess, than drawing the first version of it.

That's up to the artist in question. Never seen Elven fire-fighters before? . Either the artist will have to have guts to create a believable border between the lava and the lush green forest (as per your example), or Sylvan and Sanctuary towns shouldn't ever be placed on lava terrain at all. Perhaps a Magic shield that defines said border?

So after looking at few maps of Ashan, and particulary by reading this forum, I come to conclude one thing. Winter Heaven townscreen will probably never happen, even tho it would make sense in some situations, and here is why.
Ashan trivia part III:
There are no seasons in Ashan. Yes that is correct. Planet, on which this continent is located, isn't tilted like Earth. That does not mean, it's completly "vertical", but it's much more close to that than Earth, so that seasonal variety is non-present in Ashan. (Ty Dark-Whisperer for the insight)
Still there are colder and warmer parts of the year, but not with nearly as much of temperature variation, to call it "seasons". Also to note, is that, just like on Earth, where you have for eg. snow on April, sometimes it can get so cold, snow may fall in regions of Griffin Empire, even it's not realy "winter season". Tempertaures in Griffin Empire region are almost always "spring - like", no matter what month it is.
This is the reason Heaven towns are always depicted this way. Now if "Heaveners" (as i like to call this human-like alien race), would indeed erect a town in a snowy area, it would make sense to be "wintery", but this is also true for every other terrain types aswell (and I would indeed like this to happen - diferent TS for deiferent terrain).
And there you go ... till next time

Seasons are much more result of Earth's tilt then orbit. If it was just the orbit then we would have only one season on entire globe at the same time.

Elrath's metabolism and giant turds heats up the holy empire so it's never cold there.
Or maybe the giant elrath statue is just an oversized radiator

Hmmm sure I stand corrected. Then this simply implies the Ashan-planet is not tilted. I shall edit the trivia to accomodate for my mistakes.

The difference is that those who care about grammar get aneurysms. Also, it's spelled "difference" with two "r"s.
Yes, proper spelling and grammar IS important on the internet, lest it leak into your everyday life and make you look like a tool.
