Definitely not a sustainable system.
Will go down the drain when the doublethink fails and when even high echelons of the government start to believe their own propaganda.
A regime of fear makes a culture of cover-up replace error culture which will lead to a drop in product quality.
A society needs more shared values than mutual distrust.
Teaching your children opinion-forming stuff which is just plain wrong by scientific criteria or omitting content related to "antagonistically affiliated" scientists doesn't pay out in the long-term.

The thuth is that Russia will win even if NATO will provide its weapons. Do you really think that a country that can beat even the US can be defeated by Ukrainian forces? So, what both side are waiting for? Close the sky, no we can't, otherwise we'll go war against Russia. Are you afraid the war against Russia? No, we are just not ready. But we can always wait. The current situation in a nutshell.
Of course, the Ukrainian people treat NATO as traitors. They just won't say about it aloud.

Remember USA is human HoMM player and Russia is AI HoMM player.. Now I don't talk about force in stats but strategies.. Now Russia sends pro troops to Ukraine, and common troops go to home.. Only I'm waiting the result..

At least US/EU are talking about stopping to accept Russian oil. Do it!
Russia threatens to stop Nord Stream 1 deliveries knowing this is an empty threat at this time of the year. Days ago they called the sanctions "analogous to declaration of war", now they threaten to impose the sanctions on themselves.
With nobody taking their oil/gas fighting against national bankrupcy is going to be an uphill battle.
Becoming independent of Russia's oil and gas will need a year of unprecedented efforts but it needs to be done to save humankind from the adverse effects of climate change anyway.
I fear people will not bear it though. They are starting to whine about expensive gas already.

When the US/EU thinks that it can stop Russia, they underestimate it. Russia doesn't understand what "in a long run" means. Now it brainstorms the answer why this war was even started for their own people. Note, that here people are paid $300/month. If you think that it's not true, I will say that some people have less than $300 per month. Think about it.

Russian full scale invasion was dumb because it destroys russian economy. Would have been enpough to recognize eastern republics, nato woudn't dare attack.
That said, US-EU people cheering for sanctions are dumber still because they cheer on the destruction on their own economy to "destroy russia". What will "defeating Russia in Ukraine" mean for you? What victory?
US-EU elites are using this to distract from domestic problems and the failure of covid mandates, etc.

I don't know about immediately stopping Russian fossil fuel imports, my country is close to a 100% dependent on them.
