Impossible by Ghost.. But I think an easy.. Ok then Orban's thought can be friend with Russia, when Russia wins the war, and no attack to other countries, only Ukraine due to their matter.. So Orban blames the West.. etc Simple! Then Orban thinks revolution! The West didn't help Hungary, so Hungary lost revolution, and then Orban thinks the same position Ukraine.. Third matter if the West attacks Russia, so Fin, Swe, etc joins Russia, now they know evil Russia.. Summary I don't remember

Yes, our leaders chose to be in nato. Unfortunately.
Nobody asked Romanians to vote if they wish to be in Nato or the EU. I would have voted "No".

Well, no one asked "the Finns" either: There were polls and surveys, with over 60% being in favor of it, then the Parliament decided to do it.
So what if you had said "no"? If they had made it a public vote in Finnland, many had said "no" as well. "Many", but not the majority. And the Finns have 1300 Kilometer border with Russia.

Yeah, but so what? Everyone wants to live a happy long life without illness, win the lottery and get a cookie, but that is not what happens to most.
Your choice is to either leave Romania and go to a country neither in NATO nor EU or stay in Romania and in NATO and EU at this point. Makes no sense to howl at the moon.

In France they did ask if we wanted to join EU and majority said No, 52%. They didn't care and put us inside anyway. So much for democracy.

The existence of Nato is pertinent, it is it's extension up to Russia borders which triggers problems, and Putin kept denouncing it as a red line since 2008. People don't listen because they are in a preaching position instead of a political one, with all the additional parameters that implies.
We gave enough examples on the US reacting similar to Russia, first in 1962, second in 2022 when China attempted to install a military base in Salomon Islands. They said, you do it, we invade. In 1962 they said, you do it, we start nuclear war.
And then everyone backed down, but when Russia nobody hears. And now doing same rotting and provocative strategy with China because there is one and only one country which needs constant confrontations to asses its leadership, but that is not in Europe. We do not have the capabilities to handle worldwide nuclear powers conflicts, thus we have to cut our devout dependence from the US and start conducting politics prioritizing our own interests first.
