Guess that solution is too simple huh?@

Yeah, why dont canadian government "divide" and give lands to Quebec do you think?

Why dont US "divide" and give lands to afros, and then indiands?

Divide... LOL

You make it sound as if that is a very easy solution.

Would you accept your homeland to be divided becuz of invaders?

Wha???

Plenty of land to go around? It's all friggin' desert.

No money? Oh, so those oil fields Iraq's sitting on don't generate any revenue?

Are you guys serious??

~ ~ ~

It's really simple, boys and girls:

Humans are selfish, lazy, and greedy.
We want more stuff, and want to work less for it.
Therefore, we will go to war and kill each other to get it.
It's a time-honored tradition.

Any questions?

Yes

If it meant helping my (theoretical) children stay alive.

Yes I would accept it. There are more important things than pride. Like love

Accept my apologies. But, I find this reply very unrealistic.

Once you volunteer to sacrifice, you will have to give/sacrifice more.

I'm from Israel so I'm not objective...

IMO, the problem, currently, is with the leaders. For your information, the current Israeli government isn't really popular amongst the people. As weren't the previous two.. it's quite possible that we'll have 3rd elections... that means we'll have 3 elections within 5-6 years, instead of 12.

But let's look at history (), so you'll see our reasons for.. um... not liking arabs, and not trusting them and their judgment abilities...

1948: Israel is a independant state... Palestine was supposed to be too, but noooo they wanted to be here without us.. The day after the declaration of independence... BOOM!!! attacked... fought, somehow won... divided Jerusalem and stuff...

1967: Attacked by them... everyone but Lebanon have decided they want some more land... we won AND conquered East Jerusalem, Golan Heights, Sinai.. in six days..

1973: Yom Kipur.. a holy day for Jews. One where it's not suggested to do any activities (except for the vital ones, of course) and not to eat... BOOM!!! They have attacked us... again... and yet we won... again.

Now we have peace treities with Egypt and Jordan.

So, with the use of this quick brief to the three most known Israeli wars I've shown you why exactly we... dislike 'em... but, I must mention, are not afraid of them.

BTW, Barak was ready to give out more than anyone else in the country would've thought, but they (or, maybe, Arafat on his onw) have decided they want more. And one thing they want and we're not ready to give them (and damn those who agree to do that) is Jerusalem. I mean, it's our capital.

Ok some things

Quote:
So.. how come America got so much money?

They have more resources, better land, more people and have not been ruled by someone else for the last 240 years. That give you a clue?

Quote:
And why isnīt anyone supporting the palestinians?
Some Islamic and Arab nations (for despite what you may think they are NOT the same) do fund the PLO and the PLA, but not for the same reasons, mostly for terror and war (though I may be wrong on that, all I have heard of is them funding terror, please correct me if I am wrong and they have also funded humanitarian things).

Quote:
Efficient nations get more resources. Nations that can communicate, cooperate, and trust eachother, can use those resoursces well.  Sucky, violent countries cannot. Instead, they put bombs on children and let *them* kill a bunch of ppl. Thatīs the limit of their abilities.
The palestinians could have done exactly the same if America and the west had given them the same financial backing to free themselves from ottoman and then british rule, but none was forthcoming from either America or the west for some reason I cannot figure right now............

Quote:
Thieves and criminals are what they are. I hope they die.

What a nice, non-generalised, unbiased view you have there! Tell me then, just how many palestinians do you know that gives you this remarkable insight into a few million people?

Dude, your ppl have invaded their lands. What else did you expect?

How would you feel if arabs had announced a government in your capitol? Would not you attack it? Would not you defend against it? Would not you attack it?

When Israel was founded it was an Arab land. The Jews claimed those lands as their own with the support of US and the European countries.

Slava

Biased you may be, that's fine, but some things

1948 - Neither side accepted the treaty, not just the nations surrounding Israel. And for everyone's information you forced the british out of the area in order to declare independance. Does anyone want to geuss how? Yes that's right TERRORISM! the very thing you abhore won you your country!

1956 - (since You missed it) You attacked Egypt along with Britain and France, hardly a purely defensive move

1967 - You attacked first!

1973 - I would hardly call trying to reclaim stolen land such as the sinai (egyptian even in the days of the phaoroh) as unfair reasons, also Israel had more than enough warnings of this war had they paid attention to them.

Just offering the other side of the coin. I did middle east history in school and have studied the wars a lot. To claim any of the wars, or the resultant conflict is solely the fault of the nations around Israel is little short of laughable.

If I lived in Israel, and experienced those suicide bombers, I would not have chaged my opinion either.

The end must NEVER justify the means. But it unfortunately does.

Oh, a little thing obout our prime-ministers...
They're all with a military past... and no, I don't mean the 3 years serving, I mean a career.. let's see.. Rabin (rip ) was a general during...um... the six days war. Barak, also a general.. basically they all have high army ranks.. no one of them (I think even Ben-Gurion was in one of the jew military organisations in British Palestine) has no army past... IMO it can expain a lot...

What do you feel about Turks living Netherlands? (I hear that there are many of them)

How would you feel if Turks announced a Turkish Republic and government in Amsterdam and claimed Amsterdam as a Turkish land?

Would you accept to give Amsterdam to Turks and live up with the remaining? How can you take it granted that they will not demand more in the future?

This topic is a topic that I've heard about ever since I was 5.

For my entire life I have been pro-Israel.  The rationale is easy.  Israel is the world's penance for the holocaust...Israel has been besieged since its birth...Americans root for the underdog(ironic isn't it)...and...Palestinians are terrorists.

Pretty simple, huh?

Then I find out about the West Bank and Israel building settlements there.  This started under the Reagan administration(1980-1988).  Funny, but something just seems wrong with that.  I couldn't put my finger on it until we had to deal with Slobodan Milosevic.

And then it hit me...ethnic cleansing!  The Israelis are practicing ethnic cleansing and my country hasn't said boo about it.

Israel has almost always operated with the knowledge that the U.S. would support them in whatever they did.  More importantly, we'd keep the money flowing.

Oh how I wish that my president would go on the record saying in effect, "Israel if you don't change your policies immediately, we will cut off your financial support and declare you a terrorist nation."  And then they'd say, "By the way, you Palestinians have already made the list."

Anyone want to give odds on that ever happening?
