Maybe I'm just lucky with them or something, but I vote not to raise Sylvan's favored enemies. I think they're pretty deadly as it is.

I used to think that way but sq showed me that necros don't even need summoning to make short work of you.. I've had some totally hopeless battles against him. As for academy I am not so sure if it's a good idea to add djinns so I will look into it.

Well I agree as well. Necro has a pretty low chance beating a Destructive Sylvan with High Druids and some powerful spells, especially if it gets some elemental artifacts.
But I may be wrong, maybe post some replays from those games with sq?

I'll have to look for them another time but he used mass endurance and dark. Phoenix also showed me one game vs sylvan where the necromancer had destructive spells and while sylvan units could hardly kill the undead he could eradicate them easily with deep freeze.
I present you the new duel map As you will see the old balance is no more with armies boosted, necromancy revamped and sylvan with a few more favoured units. Certain stacks had to be weakened as in week 6 growth they caused some issues, now army growth is pretty akin to the arena levels.


About necromancy you now visit a special location that allows you to pick 3 out of 7 undead stacks. Haven's cap is still 25 paladins and academy may only make lvl 2 mini arties.
I suppose it is fitting that the last round would have to be different. I have had some games with veco, phoenix, sq amongst others and the results have been satisfactory. Feel free to experiment, if you see any flaws contact me. I have now incorporated Zenithale's mod so if you have it in your mod folder erase it. I'm using the one with the extra arenas from mamga, darkcrystal, warmonger so there are extra arenas. Hint, arenas may change if you have the battle near sea.

Just a question guys, forgive me for my ignorance but:

I mean about cases where you pump up shatter dark and opponent has no dark at all. That should make it better in such a case.

I guess I got your point, but I think it's a risk the Barbarian should afford. To me, it's like when facing a Destructive Warlock which goes for Summoning instead Destructive. There are some wasted levels, of course, but that's the dark side of the Barbarian privileges about nerfing powerful magic by the face (I'm not sure if you'll understand this expression). So, I don't even agree so much about offering any skill through the Seer, but it's your map It's like offering Advanced Defensive to Demons for 6K, or even an ability like Tactics or Swift mind in order to avoid silly things like "Champions charge and two stacks are out (by the face)" or a "Druid powered and imbued multishot Meteor Shower, which can kill more than two ones". Summing up, I think these kind of things it's like offering a life insurance.
EDIT
Oh, and BTW, I don't think the Library boost would be a nice idea. It's give more advantage to the "mana lack" factions than the one they've already have.

Well the armies are of week 6 so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. I don't see anyone complaining when a map has library in multiplayer Might is stronger in this version. About the shatter it is indeed a kind of life insurance but it's a lot different than your examples. If opponent has dark and you no shatter you are hopeless. If you have it and he doesn't you lose about 5 might skills which is quite a disadvantage. My solution is the middle one and it comes with its price. In the same way inferno and necro can now stand a chance against dungeon because they can buy cloak of sylanna. Had I not offered them this deal these matchups would be pointless.
Bottomline all other mishaps can be countered, those cannot and can be gamebreakers.
And no mods are necessary, that's why I added them to the map in the first place. That said heart of sylanna still has invisible dwellings.. But there was no other solution with the mod being 7mb. And if we have to add remove mods again all this has been for naught.

I will consider it Actually I draw the pairs randomly but if I see some pairs being too unfair I may 'correct' them. Who would have thought that Asheera has created such a deadly reputation

They have decreased army. For instance normally tier 7 are 8 and they have 6 magmas, tier 6 are 18 but thanes 16, 70 bears instead of 77, less battleragers. Right now I'm not 100% sure that they need the structure but I plan to do some good testing in the next few days. Normally I wouldn't even consider it but they can't learn rune of resurrection or thunderclap there so I don't think it's a big deal.

I just had one game with sq, dwarves vs haven I could not resist using a quadruple ballista and as much as it helped eventually it broke and my units started dying fast and I eventually lost in an ambiguous showdown.

Of course had I defense and soldier's luck the gameplay would be a lot different but I'm a sucker for ring of machine affinity
