I think Elodin is right The_Gootch clearly needs to be reminded that commonly known facts are one thing but stating facts that have been proven correct over and over again by both time, armadillos and scientiest is just redundant. We all know he's right so the question is why should he be allowed to be stated the obvious again and again? Good that you brought it up Elodin .

Well, I don't find it offensive at all. Mainly because he takes the example to a good use of Godwins law, and he backs it up with a statement. Since you do not disagree with the statement, there is nothing wrong with his logic.

Since that is patently false and the 9th commandment states 'Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor' I fail to see where I'm wrong or uncivil. It is you who has been uncivil with your uncouth arguments. Those who aren't civil cannot possibly expect civility in return.

Any relationship to another activity is strictly coincidental as the proper pronunciation of Koch is just like the world's most famous soft drink.

I have not been uncivil to you though you have been extremely uncivil to me.
There are quite a number of reasons to call Obama a Marxist/socialist and I detailed many in the thread about that subject some time ago. Also, most American voters view Obama as a socialist according to a poll by Democrats. If you wish to discuss that futhur please do so in the appropriate thread rather than the feedback thread.
Majority of voters say obama is a socialist
Anyways, you are not justified in accusing me of lying for expressing an opinion about a politician just because you disagree with the opinion.

After several days with no moderator action and no moderator comments it appears that the following is now ok.
1) It is now ok to say someone is lying, even though I was told I could not say that someone made a false statement (see previous page) because if I said a statement was false I was trying to get around the rules.
Therefore I assume it is now ok for me to say someone made a false statement or tht they are lying.
2) It now appears to be ok to say, "you are conceited, have a Hitler-like mindset and a twisted mind incapable of reasonable thought that leaves foul intellectual excrement all over the place."
If such statments are not acceptable perhaps a moderator will attend to the posts I gave feedback about.

I had great history teachers who were a lot of fun both in the classroom and out of it and to top it off they were very competent. Here's a free history lesson :
Hitlers party was called the NSDAP = Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei. The english translation is National Socialist Party the "Arbeiter" part which means "Worker" is lost. Why did Hitler call himself that? Because he needed as much support as possible so consequently he had to appeal to as many people as possible to get the votes. The political spectrum anywhere is divided into the left the middle and the right with extremeists on both side of the spectrum. Hitler wanted a "Volkspartei" a party which is supported from all 3 spectrums. The most basic tool is to appeal to voters with your name.
now again but this time let's break it down:National-sozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei
National=National it appeals to fierce patriots and conservative people
sozialistische = socialist it obviously appears to left orientated people
Deutsche = Again pride for the fatherland appealing to right orientated people back then
Arbeiter = Worker the "common man" so highly idealized by communism appeals to the left.
So it's nothing more than to get people from all the different sides of the spectrum to vote for you. Hitler wasn't left at all. He mercilessly hunted down left parties during his regime and Communists were always blamed for anything if it wasn't the jews. Hitler.Was.A.Rightwing.Extremeist.

I want a better OSM. An OSM that is fair to everyone, even to people who don't share the viewpoints of the moderators.
There are lots of folks who gave lip service to that idea in the Turban Tribunal. This is where a better OSM is forged or where the OSM goes downhill.
If the OSM does not improve and the moderators do not actually moderate the forum in a fair manner then they to a large degree are the reasson why it is in the poor condition it is in and will remain in.
