In my game, Wulfstan's battle is very long and boring. I have Absoulte Protection and the demon city renders my luck negative and both sides keep scoring unlucky strike .
I just have Wulfstan spamming different Light magic and cleanse, and I win with quite a lot of troops left.

Okay, so I downloaded the replay, but the option that says replay in the game is still gray. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Quote: Of the battles underground the one with Wulfstan was the hardest. Although Wulfstan kicks ass he has got but one strong spell(Divine Vengeance).Send in your mountain defenders and your weaker troops to get killed by the strong stacks and use divine vengeance on them(you can use it plenty of times). Also a few artifacts should have been given to Wulf in the previous mission by Zehir after you defeated Rolf.
Actually I found out that Wulfstan's battle was the easiest. What you do to save a lot of time is when you first start off attack the front gate with you're catapult. If it doesn't get knocked down after one hit than use the Rune of Etherealness on all your monsters. After you knock down the gate, use the Rune of Charge on all you're monsters and send them behind the wall and attack the opposing ones. The opposing hero will try to use mass slow and other massed dark magic. When they do this use mass haste or mass cleansing. I found that this strategy worked really good and was pretty fast.

I'm on the third mission, and took the Tear of Asha from the second mission. Should I use it straight away on the Fortress, or should I save it for the Academy later? I saw that there's another Tear in this level... should I save that one for the next mission?

The one with Wulfstan and Zehir? Wulfstan alone can take care of the invaders, Zehir's job is above ground. I think if you build it in academy it transfers to the next mission.

I'm in the mission with Wulfstan and Zehir, this one: http://www.heroesofmightandmagic.com/heroes5/toe_campaign_academy_mission3.shtml
On the second mission (the one with Freyda and Duncan), I decided to let Zehir keep the Tear rather than give it to Freyda and Duncan.

Good choice, it will serve you better with Zehir. Btw I hope you've leveled Freyda instead of Duncan as she will be needed later.

ToE done!
First of all I'm so glad that I finished it off
If somebody still is frustrated how to kill Biara in hte last mission this is what I did.
Army
81 Black Dragons,66 Titans, 139 Matriarchs, 81 Cyclops, 552 Golden Golems, 81 Magma Dragons and 81 Archangels.
Strategy
Put everyone on wait or Defense until Zehir's cast - Puppet Master un ~440 Nightmares (the have the highest Initiative and could make more moves in your favor). They attacked that big bunch of Succubus Mistress and were only ~160 left after the attack so they became almost "undangerous".
Then I and Biara were exchanging with speels - she cast Mass Slow, I did Mass Haste. And there was no other speel from her!
Time from time I performed Deep Freeze attack ~1700 Damage (of course it could be Vampirism as well, but I had many survivors without that spell )
So almost all the gated where created inside the city-walls so a big part of them were killed by "my Nightmares" and if any of then came out the gates then they blocked the way for others - it was too crowded there.
I was affraid of Pitlords spells but there were only two Fireballs performed in the combat.
And if the came near my troops then there were a lot of high-level creatures to cool them down.
Already later in the combat I flew with Dragons to their side and started to attack them as well (if you fly into corner, then it is a bigger chance that only few of the creatures can reach you).
I made more moves then they did and that was because of the Artifacts I had:
* Staff of the Netherworld [Decreases initiative of enemy creatures by 20%]
* Cloak of Death's Shadow [Decreases morale and luck of enemy creatures by -2]
» For 2 items: Decreases speed of all enemy creatures by -1.
* Robe of Sar-Issus [Adds +6 to hero's Spellpower]
* Ring of Sar-Issus [Reduces the mana cost of all hero's spells by half]
» For 2 items: Doubles Mana and Spellpower of all casters in hero's army.
* Mask of Equity [During combat with an enemy Hero of superior level, it equalizes the Hero's level (by increasing Hero's primary stats) to the enemy Hero's level] - because I was Level 31 but Biara 35.
* Ring of the Broken Will [Decreases morale of enemy creatures by -2]
* Evercold Icicle [Enhances your cold-based spells by 50%]
* Four Leaf Clover [Increases luck by +1]
* Boots of Magical Defense [Grant hero a 10% magic resistance]
* Shield of Crystal Ice [Adds +2 to hero's defense and grants 50% protection from fire-based spells while equipped]
So they got Unlucky (I think it was -2) in combat and often missed they turn because of Bad Morale (I think it was -3).
Time
It was done in Day 6, Week 2, Month 4 - Difficulty NORMAL
--
So that was it - will wait for Heroes VI

I recently played that mission and did it far easier, with zero losses.
I only fielded Storm Titans and Archangels. I hit the Archangels with Mark of the Wizard, and then cast Vampirism on the Storm Titans (so the Archangels got it too). After that, I buffed them up with Haste, Blessing and such, to maximize their damage output. To be fair, I did apply a buff to the Titans through artificing, boosting their Initiative, their Morale and Attack.
Because the damage those two stacks deal is insane, so is the amount of killed units that get resurrected each time they hit something, because of the Vampirism effect.
Granted, this means you either need to get the Wizards' Ultimate (which grants all spells), or get Expert Dark Magic and hope to get Vampirism somewhere.

here's a pack of my replays from campaigns(and 1 save): click!
For exhample, I let the AI try that 900 cyclops a couple times.
@pei: I think you mean Nathir. Well, Plate the warlock starts with all stats around 15 at lvl 1, so I'd say he's a better candidate for armageddonizing Biara's troops to death.

argh
How did u guys get through the first scenario with the mage? Orange is constantly sending armies from two directions that are way stronger than mine so I barely have time to build a new army for the next army. There is no way I can defend two castles from them so eithr I dont have backup or he has 3 castles to feed from. Argh... Im doing epic, of course.

Orange?I guess u mean purple for orange is your own colour. Ok, so here's what I did('epic' also):
1. got basic destructive early
2. I cleared everything up to the garrison in like 3 weeks while upping enlightenment. This way I almost tripled my pathetic starting spellpower of 5.(alternatively, you could rush towards the garrison, ignoring the road side branches)
I didn't build up my town much - just didn't have enough resources. As for army - mages from the outpost, gremlins from town and magnetic golems from wherever possible(town, dweeling and call to arms)
3. Took first purple town week 3, day 5. It happened to have a level 3 mage guild so I learned a couple spells, but most notably firewall.
4. Didn't touch dwarfs guarding the portal. Immediately marched north-west towards the second purple town instead.
5. Week 4 - met a purple hero on my way. My firewall did a grand total of 176 damage at this point, but it was enough. Luckily, he had some shooters(vayshan, level 13, spellpower 15(on par with my level 17 zehir!)army: 2 black dragons, 21 foul hudras, 51 minotaur captains, 67 blood furies, 130 assasins), so I fielded just magnetics and gargoles, and kept casting firewalls to both damage their defending or maybe even waiting stacks and heal my golems(note that I did not get motw in this mission). lost 75/133 golems(he fled) and 2/10 gargoles but got adv destructive and some artifacts.
6. took second purple town and began my march towards the third. Took expert destructive on my way.
In the meantime I was trying hard to build lvl 5 mage guild in the southern purple town.
7. week 5 - saw a purple hero(Yrwanna, lvl 29, spellpower 23) in my way with army: 6 red dragons, 10 shadow mistresses, 18 acidic hydras, 57 minotaur captains, 73 blood furies, 90 stalkers. No shooters, so this time my previous thick won't work. crushed through the dvarven portal back and learned implosion, phoenix and other spells in southern purple town.
8. still week 5 - somehow beat yrwanna, don't remember how exactly, but I've lost 4/14 stalkers and 0/6 hydras(not fielded?) in the process. also beat some other, weaker hero at the end of the week
9. stopped conquest for a while, cleared the map and just dealt with armies leaving their town. used artifact merchants+sacrificial altar to get me to lvlup. after some time purple heroes have left their town, then I took it and they were stuck somewhere near elementals dweeling, unable to take my well fortified towns.
10. got to lvl 29(still no motw) and finnished the map
