Actually, I like Zehir's dry and sarcastic humor in the TotE campaign. I've laughed out loud on several occasions .

I attacked Rolf with ~100 Rakashas. Further i didn't had any important troops(7 archmages or something). "Threat level: High". Easy=) With uberskill and vampirism... Not any Rakasha lost

I was a bit stunned when I first attacked Rolf; he decimated my troops. But the tactic of using the Rakshasa Kshatra (I had 90) with Vampirism and maximum Luck was amazing. I kicked Rolf without any losses on that attempt .

as I tried to tell you twice when you PM'd me, you should give a more detailed description of what your problem is.
In general, you can find a haven town in the south-west along with a garrison, a bunch of dwellings, plus whatever heroes the AI that controlled it so far has. They'll join you automatically. Make sure to build a mage guild up to level 5 so Freyda can get as many light magic spells as possible (Ironically, she doesn't know Vengance). Mass your troops on Freyda afterwards and go for one of the Inferno towns. Also, not far from where you start the second part, you can get the Archers Dream set, which is pretty helpful.

I'm currently working my way through the final mission, and have since crushed an Inferno town with Wulfstan and Freyda. One question here: will I need those Heroes later on with the armies they're left with? Or are they ok once they've won their battle? I can't say that either army was in best shape after the battles, but I didn't feel like playing them over to get a better result.

What I find helps is to try to lure the enemy heroes back. If you can get them to come to a city or one of those ubergarrisons you should be good: You have the wall to use to your advantage. It takes Blackies 2 turns to get over the wall, and if you funnel all power into slaying them, you should get them to a manageable level. Whatever you do, don't open the gate. Barring Mistresses and Assasins, they have few shooters. So, crush the Dragons, and shoot out at the Mistresses/Assaisns, then if you can wait/defend in your castle for a few turns, buffing your troops with light or using destructive on the enemy. Remember, the Ammo Cart is your friend.

Quote: They will chase me back to the city but never attack the city until they bring backup, they'll just stand outside it. Plus I think they might have expert war machines, cause they're busting down my walls in one shot, then their guys run in. Plus I think their dragons are clearing my walls in 1 move. Any good builds/more advice?
One big problem is that they start off with 3 Towns right away, while you have only 1. In order to "even the odds", you need to capture - and keep control over - at least 1 of their towns, as soon as you can. The presence of a 1-way Teleporter that comes close to your Academy town sucks as well, not to mention the 2-way teleporter that effectively makes the cave system a roundabout, so you have enemies possibly coming from 2 sides.
One advantage of the mission is that it doesn't appear to have a level limitation. My Zehir was level 28 when I finally captured the last town.

Thanks Trenul for making me try arcana omniscience ... omg I had no clue how much fun that would be
I took 82 Rakhashas with +5 Luck/Morale and +43% Initiative to battle Rolf (that +5 morale was stupid). Threat lvl high ... yeah sure I used Vampirism, I didn't lost a single unit LOL Those magma or lava dragons with rune of berserking are really nasty though. I even had some fun with Frenzy and Implosion (I love that spell). I took over enemies ballista too, I was really surprised when his ballista was shooting the unit infront, I first thought that was friendly fire lol
Here's the Replay ... I just had to post it

No clue either. It is revealed through the Hut of the Magi, but I think it was a developer test or something - that they forgot to remove in the final game. As far as I could see, it's a bunch of critters, all Tier 1, of the various factions.

Well, finished the campaign ... now I'm sad, I'm gonna miss my (arcane) omnipotent Zehir
I didn't loose a single unit with Zehir until the battle with Biara, not even against those three inferno heroes
I used those Dragons and Cyclops as cannonfodder, while my Vampire Storm Titans and Archangels (lol) did all the work. I lost all the dragons and cyclops (75), 23 Magma Dragons and 6 Storm titans and Rakshasha (they got killed in the first turn, but my Vampire Archangels ressurrected them again at the end ... 5600 HP restored ^^)
Once you use Runes (I already underestimated them in HoF) Wulfstan isn't that difficult. Freyda shouldn't have trouble either. The first time I did the Kujin battle, I got drowned by gates. But once you sacrifice those chieftains in the first turn, so they attack instead of gate, it's possible. Thanks for posting that replay Ilaya was a walk in the park.
But those orcs are a running joke. "For the children" as a war cry? These guys are supposed to be bloodthirsty barbarian hordes, I can't take them serious anymore

One trick that you can pull off with the reinforcement Heroes: select them when they appear and click elsewhere to move, once they start moving. This will move the hero elsewhere. Using that method, I was able to divert Kujin's movement, have her meet up with Gotai and actually perform the siege using Gotai (instead of Kujin), along with his 900 Cyclopses . I'm pretty sure it also works for the other Heroes, but I didn't try and see if I could have them leave for the surface instead of performing the siege.

Yeah, I stopped Kujin and Ilaya on their way to the castle, to have a look at their stats and change artifacts. I didn't met up with Gotai because I didn't wanna break the game

Vampirism . That's what worked for me, using only a stack of 90-ish Storm Titans.
