I would, but a conflict of interest.  As for my list, as long as we don't get into the 90's or higher I will be ok.  Early 90's I would do .. so so at.  Though there are some I like that are more .. modern.. fits into the category of Pop mostly (which means mainstream).

...The rounds won't all be around X0s ... I'll give you genres, bandsto include in the playlist, self-designed sampler-covers, movies to  choose a new soundtrack for, themes (like, f.e. "war" or "alcohol" or "happy" or "autumn" or weird things), and much more the options are endless
...I'll switch through those types of things, and I allready know what I'll do next round, but for the rounds after, tell me all your wishes

IÄD like to create a playlist, too, but I'll wait one more day or so-... deadline is this saturday...

Okay, the judging begins...

No more entries or changes from now on

EDIT:

Round 2:
I wanted soth different, but I don't managed it now, so we're now going to "genres", and still being far-sized now, I say, do a "Rock" playlist.
but:
!!!no metal, no punk, no emo, no rock'n'roll (rock'n'roll in terms of Elvis-like music) and such. If you ain't sure about a band just ask me!!!

HAve Fun, people!

But Elvis IS rock music. To not include him would be pretty stupid since that is what Rock is. I suppose you're gonna say no The Beatles? lolwut?

Ok I can do that, depending on what you call what..I will supply links when I can.

Guns N' Roses : (There are about 5-6 just from them, and picking one is HARD..but..) Welcome to the Jungle

Huey Lewis : (Same problem)

Cinderella : (Same issue) Nobodys Fool

Poison : Every Rose has its thorn

Eagles : (When you talk rock and roll, Eagles are a MUST in my book) Hotel California hope it is the right one

Meatloaf : Id do anything for love (but I wont do that) Remember, I have no sound so I am only HOPING that these are the right links

Billy Joel : (Geesh where do I START) We didnt start the Fire

Prince : Purple Rain (Due to some issues with the Artist formally known and now known again as prince, no links as he had most if not all blocked recently)

Madonna : Like a Prayer

GAH soooooo many more then 10 GOOD rock and roll groups...how the heck to pick the last...Survivor (Eye of the tiger)?  Kenny Loggins (Danger Zone)?  Chucky Berry (Johnny B. Goode).  Led Zepplin?  Narrowing it down to 10..or 100 is near impossible...and any that I chose for the above or number 10 can change on an hourly basis for me.

Guess that just leaves..The Boss.  Because Rock n' Roll isn't the same without Bruce Springstein - (of all his GREAT music) Born in the USA

@william: I'll consider this...yet, this is the task...and it's just coming from my udnerstanding of rock and music maybe...elvis is rock'n'roll...rock is ...well a development out of rock'n'roll, but different...it's all far-stretched and rather open, though...many bands are in grey zones ...

Would be nice

here is myne for round 1:

1. Moody Blues ~ Nights in White Satin A masterpiece!

2. The Beatles ~ I've just seen a face Wonderful, in my eyes.

3. Rolling Stones ~ Ruby Tuesday Yesterday don't matter

4. The Doors ~ Alabama Song Just show me the way to the next whiskey bar

5. Jimi Hendrix ~ All around the Watchtower

6. Bob Dylan ~ on the road again; found only covers on youtube...maybe you know the song?

7. Simon & Garfunkel ~ Sounds of Silence great! Awesome! Beautiful! Too true nowadays!!!

8. Peter, Paul and Mary ~ Leaving on a Jet Plane Still a beautiful love song imo.

9. Johnny Cash ~ I walk the line Nice song

10. Joe Cocker live at Woodstock ~ With a little Help from my friends Fantastic, wonderful outstanding version of the beatles song.

Queen could easily fit in my 10.  Queen rules.  So hard to narrow down 10 good 'rock' groups, let alone 10 rock songs.

I have to disagree Jiriki..Pure rock is Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, and groups like the Beatles.  What comes after might go into different genres..but Rock IS Rock n' Roll.  The closer to the 'sources' (Elvis, Etc) the more pure rock it is.  Though it's your game .  I will judge your songs as soon as I can.

The best way to keep this going I think is for everybody to grade everybody else's mixtape.

When you grade somebody else's mixtape you can grade it on anything you want but I would recommend these criteria:
1.  The main goal of any mixtape is include good music but also to introduce the listener to music they probably haven't heard before.  This is a balancing act because very often the listener is already familiar with "good music".  So the goal here would be to "get the balance right"
2.  Variety
3.  How well does the mixtape hang together?
You can see that #2 and #3 are also opposed.  The goal is to strike a pleasing balance.

It's a simple score from 1 to 10.  You can add decimals if you want (1.0 to 10.0).  There's kind of a standard practice of grading things where 4-5 equals lame and 10 equals awesome so I'd recommend adhering to that.

The theme for the next round is "End of the World".  You have two weeks to assemble a mixtape.  Near the end I'll be pestering people with HCMs unless they specifically opt out of the contest.

If you want to grade the first round (the 60's) you can send me your scores and they'll be mixed into Jiriki's (and anybody else that sends me grades).

If you have any theme suggestions you can post them or hcm me.

This round's theme is "End of the World".
