I told you on the ERM help thread that by adding building requirements I managed to solve the original problem. And as I said there were a lot of other problems with the script too (which I think I fixed). You don't need to keep testing it (for the time being). Thank you for all your trouble.
In any case I will release the whole thing in three weeks so If there's any problem by then I will ask again in the ERM help thread (let's hope there won't be any). Thanks again

Oh my lord!!!
I do think HoL is alot better than HotA and im pretty sure it damn will be.
I am pretty sure HoL will be very much upgraded with tons of new features. I know it, it has freaking good potential!
Keep it going! Well done. If I only would/could be rich, you would have aqcuire a treasure
But there is still one little request
7th and 8th level Creatures should have bigger health points. Or at least Exchange the Rust, Faerie, Azure and Crystal Dragons to other creatures and let their health point be as they should be
Because I have always fell in love to Azure Dragon... 1000 mmmm...
When I always play HoL 3.1 I always run with cheats to Emerald Towers and increase the health to Azure Dragon/Dracolich... then I quit the cheats and start playing
Anyway, thank you already

Thank you so much for creating Heroes of Light! It is the favorite mod of my friends and I.
Just wondering if you're working on balance issues. HoL is fantastic, but after many 1v1 games or 1v1v1 games I have with my friends and I, there are a few things that we've play tested and agree need attention.
The Death Knight's (forget Hero name) Skeleton specialty is overpowered - trust us, and needs to either be tweaked or replaced outright, if possible.
We love the way the new Conflux (Haven) is built: everything from the building costs to the creature stats / growth. Very unique and is a great idea mostly, but even with the downgraded stats of the Azure Dragons, they are still a bit too overpowered. We play on either Expert or Impossible difficulty, but even so, by the time we acquire enough resources to build its dwelling, they're STILL a bit much. We think their HP should be reduced by at least 50 and their Def should be reduced by at least 5 if not more. Cost can remain about the same. Even though their numbers are overall low, the Azures are just too tanky. We also think Faerie Dragons could use a little boost in strength somewhere.
Also a few questions.
1: I create PvP maps. Is it possible to create maps for HoL (standalone version)? We've tried and they all end up in the original Heroes 3 folder and can't be moved. If we install the add-on, as opposed to the standalone, will it work? (I am using the original, un-WoGified editor, though WoG will still play my maps)
2. You've mentioned you'd like HoL to be compatible with other mods like HotA or Phoenix mod and even VCMI. Will that definitely be through Era? Every time any of us attempt to download Era we get virus warnings. Not that I don't trust the community here, but it scares some people away. (and maybe that's a question for the Era thread)
3. Not sure where to ask this so I'll ask it in this thread for anyone who can answer: I have Windows 7 and from everything I've tried it just refuses to run Phoenix mod. It works fine on my laptop which runs Windows XP, however. Any suggestions?
I've been playing H3 since launch in 3/99 (not to mention its predecessors) and am happy and impressed it still has so much love. We look forward to your next update! Thanks again.

The Skeleton mastery of the Death Knight was not edited by me at all. It is the original WOG/Heroes mastery.
As for the Azure Dragons, I am aware of the issue (and it has been stated to me a lot) and in HoLv3.2 their stats are decreased further. In fact Haven was indeed somewhat overpowered so the stats of the Phoenixes were decreased a little as well.
Now for your questions.
You can make maps for my mod (after all I've made campaigns for it), but you must use the WOG map editor and not the original one.
As for HotA and Phoenix mods I can't answer you there, address your concerns in their threads. All I can say is that HoLv3.2 will be released for ERA II, so it will be compatible with any other ERA II mod you like.
The game will be released in two weeks. It won't be long now... So stay tuned!

Um, no. Mods are compatible ONLY if they don't modify same files. As your cranim is modified, as well as many things, it will be not compatible with other mods which change same things. In general mods are stand alone, ERA only unifies them in same folder for faster switch between.
@Zombiebear: crap antiviruses will give warning for every .exe they see. Get a good one.

I am sorry but the mod still needs some tests (even now I find out some small or big bugs on it). It's my holidays too, so progress is a little slow...
However, I do have news... some good and some bad news.
The bad news is that I won't be able to complete the campaigns in time. They need a lot of work and I want to make them more exciting than just normal maps... So that will take a lot of time. I will release them eventually though...
The good news is that I'm confident that the mod will be released on July the 25th as promised. Even now most (if not all) of the bugs seem to be fixed and I think the mod is somewhat finished... I only need to fix some (practically unimportant) little details here and there before release (and I think that two weeks is more than enough to do so).
So all you got to do is be patient for a little while longer... I think the mod will make it worth your while in the end

In that case, is there any chance you can release it as soon as everythings done? Maybe if it is finished earlier than 2 weeks? Because i go on holidays with my cousin, who i only see during summer holidays, and last year we loved playing version 3.1, so this year it would be great to play the new version with him. I will really appreciate it if you could release it a few days earlier if you cannot, don't worry about it, i don't want to rush you

I know you didn't create/edit the DK's Skeleton Mastery - that's exactly the problem. If we must turn off Hero Specialization boost for your mod to work properly, because you have adjusted masteries yourself, then can you change that one? That's what I was asking.
I was also wondering if you'll include txt somewhere which will tell us which artifacts combine into what. You made it so that new artifact combos will combine to create the special WoG artifacts (like the Monster's Power and the Dragonheart). It'd be nice to see in-game which artifacts make what; not only for the new combos, but also for existing ones like Titan's Thunder and the Statue of Legion. I'm aware we've all been playing H3 so long we've got them memorized, but it'd be neat and useful nonetheless particularly to newer players - maybe something similar to Diablo's set pieces when moused over showing what else completes that set.
I hope you are taking these suggestions and (hopefully helpful?) constructive criticisms well and as intended. Again we love your mod and can't wait to see the new one. Many thanks.

Is it just look up "Wog Download?" Because then all I get is the 3.58f patch, but not the rest (I think, idk how they worded it is fairly confusing.)

Well, you can download ERA II (it is found on this forum) and install it on your plain Heroes Complete (or SoD) folder. In merely a week the new version of my mod will be downloadable and compatible with it.

Lol... sorry for 3 posts but Yay got it to work after 4 hours.
Also, idk if its just me... but Undead seems way overpowered with its ranged damage reductions, atleast against human.
Hmm, By far the best mod i've found for any game, but theres only one flaw as I see it, Units that are X or Y sometimes aren't close to being as good as eachother. Example, Efreet VS Nightmare, Efreet has all better stats is 1 hex and can fly. Things like that are on all races, Acolytes vs Zombies, Arabalests vs Crossbowmen, Faerie Dragon vs Azsure, most of them just need a boost in stats, such as Acolyte vs Zombie,
For example for Acolyte vs Zombie something of a real choice would be,
Zombie, 4Att 5Def 4speed
Acolyte 3Att 3Def 7 Speed -3health difference from Zombie
Then theres easier things like, Paladin should have +2 Speed than now, and Priestess should have 1 less speed than now.

@Slayer
I've tried to make the interchangeable creatures have the same usefulness. The way I see it, which one is better is a matter of opinion and that's what I was aiming for.
For instance you think Efreeti are more powerful than Nightmares. Most of users thing that the Nightmares are better (due to the Death Stare ability). This means that in a multiplayer map, you would choose the Efreeti while your opponent would choose the Nightmares. That is what the whole concept is all about. Since you get to choose it doesn't matter which YOU think is better. The AI player on the other hand will always choose what I programmed it to choose, but the player will have the options.
@Devsho
For the new objects to appear in the map you must either:
Put them there yourself
Or, If you play random maps, to go to the WOG options, enable the objects you like and enable the object replacement option.

Is there a way to use the map editor for ur mod in specific? Would like to see if I could update my favorite map (But sadly unpopular), and if I finish it intime for Tales of Amadar Campaign I was wondering if you could add it into the map list like the Cave of Gerfex map.
Also, I just love the Haven town, even more so because I can easily get my favorite build because of the Conflux building that gives the Air/Water/Fire/Earth magics. For balance wise though, maybe debuff azsure and and buff Sacred Phoenix, not the upgrades before, the final upgrade.
(Btw, the build is Sorc Or Learning, Logistics, Pathfinding, the 4 Magics, Scholar, Leadership, and then get +luck items, its insane with any player, moreso with Haven.)
Is Santa Gremlin buildable? (Saw in tutorial.)
Also what are the requirements for the Wolf Raider upgrade?
