Fallout: New Vegas
Judging from the "What are you playing right now?" thread people like to talk about this one
Hopefully I'll have it soon...
'Til then I'm scouting for mods that'll awesomize my gaming experience. Already got my eyes on a couple, but do recommend ones for me and others!
Can't wait to snipe me some humies with Gauss Rifle + Bloody Mess perk...
That's one thing I love about Energy Weapons... you can use Bloody Mess without breaking the immersion

Nice initiative
Some of my best mods that has not been mentioned (not around me at least)
Shiloh DS - Colored Map and Icons
This is very nice, it changes the map into COLOR! and you have to option to turn on additional information such as location of books, snow globes, etc...
MTUI
This mod is SO important, it changes how much dialog, interface and text that can be showed.
Populated Casinos
A nice little mod that make the casinos feel more alive.
I will probably add more later.

Nice ones, MTUI reminds me of the DARN mods for Oblivion... really good for improving the made-for-console-version UI. PC gamers don't need huge icons and text.
...
If there's one thing Bethesda sucks at it's animations, and since Obsidian had to base their work on Fallout 3 it's no wonder that not much has changed in that department.
Thankfully there are some nice fellas out there willing to improve that.
Animations are a b**** to make as far as I know, so it's quite an impressive piece of work imo.

I liked this game. Albeit... guess what, it's too easy.
No joke, this one really is. Because sneak attack criticals are so overpowered, the game is essentially very easy.
Sniper rifles (including the unique variant) totally break the game, too
However I finished it and was rather happy with it. A solid 6-7/10.

Hmm... I'm guessing Sniper Rifle + Silencer pretty much makes you a demigod
If the game's AI is anything like the one in Fallout 3, I'm guessing the main problem with sneaking is still the fact that the AI is stupid as hell.
*shoots enemy, blood and limbs is splattered all over the place*
*enemy's friend turns around, spots mutilated corpse, shrugs and moves on*
*shoots second enemy*

Yes, you're guessing right.
In caves or buildings where it's hard to make shots that castrate flies from 1000km distance, use the unique variant of sniper rifle. It costs 1/2 AP to shoot in VATS and through specific setup and gear (10 luck and 1st recon beret, finesse perk) it has 100% critical chance - the only weapon in game that allows so (regular sniper rifle excluded), and in total, tops every other weapon in dps with or without VATS.
Outside, just kill one after another with 100% sneak and silenced regular sniper gun, they will never know what hit them.

Sniper rifles are for wussies! If you want to do overpowered the MANLY way, get the Ballistic Fist and 2-hit any enemy in the game face-to-face, like a manly man.
Cazadores are death, even for high-level characters if you're caught off guard, so watch for them. In regards to sneaking, you can at least take solace in the fact that the Chinese Stealth Suit has been nerfed to the ground, so you can't literally walk amidst groups of enemies killing them one at a time without anyone noticing.
If you're going to do Energy Weapons, Meltdown is a hilarious perk, that and Bloody Mess together will make for some spectacular gore explosions.
I do a weekly mods spotlight on my youtube channel, you might find some you like there. Here's a link to the second vid in the series:

Thanks! Oh, and by the way, if you're planning on using companions and want a challenge still, get Cass. She's easy to find early on, and pretty crappy in a fight with her base weapon.
Although, if you're doing Hardcore, she'll be quite tough to get as you have to trek across about 2/3rds of the map and back.
Veronica and Boone are super OP, and easy to get too, so if you run into anything way past your capacity to deal with grabbing one of them will help a lot. Keep in mind that Veronica's levelling is broken atm, though, so definitely get the Veronica Fix mod if you use her at any point so she actually has decent HP. I love Veronica, personally; there was one point early on where all I had was the meh Plasma/Laser rifles and Veronica was killing like 80% of enemies we encountered.
Watching her punch the heads of Freeside Thugs fifty feet through the air in slow-motion is one of the best parts of New Vegas, hands down. I love running through Freeside just to watch her get epic kills.

Ballistic fist is fun, but legendary deathclaw one hits characters at very hard (he does 500 damage each hit. Starting characters have ~250 HP. Go figure.) I actually liked "manly" way, but sniper path is 100% more potent. Sadly. And I refuse to even think of difficulty other than "Very Hard" with such an easy game.
Yup, companions are super strong. They (almost) never die and can kill things easily. Especially Boone. Ignore what he says about melee weapons being not his strong suit, give him Oh Baby! (unique Super Sledge) and count the bodies while standing and whistling while he murders everything. 2-3 Cazadors at once included, unless they stunlock him. (Yes he is stronger than Veronica. Got Both, tried both, many setups. Oh Baby > Pushy. Boone> Veronica.)

Sneak attack Gobi Campaign Rifle crits are definitely the best way to do it on Very Hard, but I can verify that the Legendary Deathclaw is perfectly doable on Very Hard with a Ballistic Fist. Turbo makes Deathclaws a joke.
Also, I had no idea that Boone's that good with Melee Weapons, that's hilarious. The best weapon for Veronica is a Ballistic Fist though (it's stronger than Pushy) but Oh Baby! is definitely stronger than a Bfist.
I never had Boone follow me around, though, his personality didn't really appeal to me. I usually roll around with Cass and Veronica as they're the funniest and always good for a laugh.

That thing never hits anything and dies fast.Better to just glitch it at Lucky 38 and make use of the sensors perk

Actually Boone is hilarious because of his hatred for the legion
He is also a very deep character, but of course Veronica is still funnier
Has anyone traveled with Arcane? how is he? can imagine that he is pretty weak since he use energy weapons

Arcade's funny, he's not great but the Plasma Defender is alright. If you take him to certain locations needed to activate his side quest his dialogue is great. ^^

That's right. However, I'm a lazy player (even tho powergamer), and if I can pick a build that doesn't need consumables for certain battles, I will

Pushy has only a tiny bit less damage and a whole lot more potential in displacement feat.

I understood this game has shyteloads of bugs but decided it wasn't that important if it has enough style and allows me to be Clint Eastwood.
It doesn't.
It also apparently has glitches related to the ghoul played by Danny Trejo. They can't bug Trejo up damnit. That's just wrong.
I recon it's got a cool and open ended story, but still, it got a bit tiresome after a short while.

Awesome, thanks
Was afraid that no one would get my mod talk
Just read some info about the new patch... fixes many of the things I would've used mods for. Many bugs left though...
Highlights:
Energy Weapon ammo has increasing levels of -DT properities (Max Charge ammo has -10!)
NCR safehouse now has NCR Combat Ranger Armor (no need to kill a ranger to get it! Woohoo!)
Looks like I might do a play-through without mods after all
*prays to various gods that game will show up in mailbox tomorrow*
