Pandora, to apply for Goddess you must first do something about the Toad scourge.
They are everywhere, even inside my Harem. Sure, they make for tasty snacks but they are distracting menaces.
There are literally thousands of toads and frogs shouting their chorous of * quoke * * riiiibiiiittt * all day and night long.
Unfortunately, the new warden has been slacking on his job and zillions of frogs have been escaping from the toad hole. If you can find a use for him, take him with you.
Unfortunatley, the one box has been stolen from my harem quarters * glares at the harem guard * and has ended up in the hands of the cyclops king. You can find him in cave of the fire salamanders.
Oh and if you can find a use for the harem guard, use him as well.
* points to a map, indicating the location of the cave. *
Your first task you must complete before being granted goddesshood is to retrieve the one box.

I furrowed my brow as I pondered the tasks laid out before me...apparently the great Djive was not one to mess around.
It was nearly impossible to think as the sound of the Toads seemed to be growing louder by the second. In frustration I waved my hand and cried "Silence Toads" and suddenly all was quiet.
I smiled proudly to myself... "Well that was easy!"
I took a step towards the map Djive had pointed out, wanting to get started on my next task when "UFFF!" I tripped over a Toad and nearly lost my balance. Damn, obviously just shutting them up wouldn't do.. I tiptoed around a particularly large group that had gathered near my ankles and found a large rock to sit down on while I thought.
<<Buzzz....Buzzzzzz....>>
The sound of the croaking Toads had been replaced by the incessant hum of insect wings, I looked behind my and saw legions of flies swarming around what appeared to be an alarmingly large Toad Turd.
I grabbed a long stick and started pushing the giant Turd with it towards the hole. The toads, seeing the flies had begun to follow - all hoping for a tasty (yuk) treat. I dropped the Turd down the hole, and the flies did follow. To my joy, the Toads also followed, and shortly all of them were back in the Hole!
I was delighted, but realized that the sound of the buzzing was growing fainter and fainter - soon they would all be dinner and the problem would arise once more... I needed to plug the hole! I glanced around frantically, hoping to find a large rock or something - instead I saw the Warden, dozing beneath some bushes.
Djive did say I should find some use for him.... I thought.
I grabbed the Warden by the ear, and dragged him towards the hole - he stammered and snorted in protest, but was too groggy from his nap to realize what was happening. I gave him a loud shove and he fell backwards, his butt becoming firmly lodged in the hole.
"H-Hey!!" he cried "I'm stuck!!"
I smiled, that was the idea all along.
I looked around and there were no toads to be seen or heard, and I was feeling very good about myself. I went over and committed the map to memory, and set off to take care of the second part of my task....

"I've something for you!"
* touches the warden's body with the stone, the task made ridiculously easy by the fact that the warden is still held in the hole. The warden's body grows grey out and he stops moving *
"Now, at least the warden is a rock solid frog stopper."
* Turns to Pandora *
"I take it you have no greater need for him on your mission?"
"Anyway, I'll give you a few tips for free."
"First: The Cyclops King is using the Fire Salamanders as guards. Bring protection against Fire."
"Second: The cave has a section coated with Acidic Bile from a Stonewurm. You can neutralize this area by throwing in some dragonfly wings on the pink coloured areas on the wall. The wings endure the acid and tickles the stonewurm, and hmmm I guess you will have to witness the rest yourself. Watch the scene at a safe distance."
"Third: The Cyclops King has a lucky rock. You might try to get your hands on it, make sure you are not seen. He will do nearly anything to get it back. Here is a small replica of his lucky rock. Might be useful if you can enlarge it."

Oh...kay. Got it!
I tried to muster up some false bravado, so as to not look too pathetic as I walked off. Truth be told, I don't think I want to be a Goddess anymore, a Tosser Chick in a beer joint always suited me just fine - and I never had to worry about things like Acidic Bile - the odd ramblings of a drunken Aculias yes - but Fire Salamanders and Cyclops Kings - never.
But the One Box...if it could be retrieved, and if Oldtimer might return...well then I suppose it would be well worth braving any of the depths of Hell. Yes, I can do this...
The Fire Salamanders scare me immensely, having spent so much of my time in the North - i would have been much better suited to a Frost creature, but protection from fire is just a level one spell - such simple magics should give me no problems...I hope. It would truly suck to be melted down on stage one of my mission.
I tucked the dragon wings and the replica of the lucky rock into my side pouch, gripped my spell book tightly and took a deep breath.
"I'm really going to go now!" I called back to no one in particular "All by myself, I'm going...This would be your last chance to come with me"
I didn't bother waiting for a reply, fearing there would be none... and slowly shuffled off into the wood.

*I was a cross between being excited to have the great Witch accompanying me on my quest, and being terrified that she was there. Naturally Djive herself didn't frighten me, but messing up in front of her would be awful - I'd been hearing stories about her since I was a little Elf, she is a hero! I had no clue who Ali the merchant was - but it did make sense to me that we'd need supplies*
That makes sense Djive - we'd be foolish to go in unprepared. I have to tell you, I don't have too much experience in any kind of battle - but when it comes to sneaking around and running when I have to, I'm definitely your girl!
What do you think we'll be needing? I'm a touch low on a few spell reagents - can we get them from him? Ooooh, and I'll need dark chocolate - not for spells it just helps keep me calm

The two make their way to Ali, the desert merchant. They find him by his calel covered in bedine clothing and attending a small pyre with his stick.
The pyre still smells of rotten eggs and spoiling sea grass. When questioned about the pyre, Ali explains that the pyre and stench serves its purpose: to keep all the toads and frogs away.
He chuckles: "Unfortunately, it tends to scare away my customers as well. At least until you came. What can I do for you and your friend?"
Djive hands over a long list, which Ali reads aloud. Most of the items sounds to be mumbo-jumbo but a few of them reads normally, and sounds roughly like "camel dung", "water from a twisted cacti", "sand from a pharao's grave". Ali promptly finds and presents each item in turn each of them packaged in small stoppered vials or wrapped in parcels.
While Ali, works to find all the items Djive tells Pandora.
"You should consider to purchase some potions of fire resistance here, and if you can afford it some 'Insecto Encatado'."
"That will be three-hundred-eleven gold coins, if you please."

The ages pass and the Temple lies vacant...
a man whithered with age comes upon the Temple..
Is this the place that the Worship of the glorious Box staretd?
Is this the place that the goddesses dwelt?
The old man looks inside...
The wonderous statue has lost it's glorious luster.
The Goddesses have Come and Gone to be replaced by new goddesses who have Come and Gone...He remembers that when he tended the Temple the Goddesses only Came...
Is it too late the Worship at the temple?
Can the sagging Knockers be polished?
Will the Knobs be able to be turned again?
Can the Box be worshipped as is right?
The Man in the Boat has given the old man much insight to the worship of the Box, undaunted by the questions that plauge the old man's soul, he bows down before the Statue, begins to Polish the knockers.
"NOOOO!" cries the Goddesses, "you may not polish the knockers or turn the knobs, and don't even think about finding the box."
The old man cries, "but I only want to worship you they way that has always pleased you."
"But you cannot start by polishing the Knockers, first you must iron out the knots on the back of the statue, but even before you do that you must rub the feet."
The old ones eyes open wide, he sighs and begins to rub the mighty feet of the statue, he rubs and rubs but the Goddesses never seem to be satisfied.
"The things I do the worship the Box," the old man grumbles, and ponders whether or not Thunder was right afterall...

the young man followed the old man - as young men often do - into the temple, always from a distance, it has been quite some time since the temple was active, since the faithful, like the old man, worshiped the Box
the young man was partly to blame, he was too focused elsewhere to give proper worship to the Box and the goddesses, or to stop others from taking over the Temple - what blasphemy
but now he was back, following his once mentor, trying to remember lessons forgotten

Having recently learned of the temple Mytical sat contemplating this information. She thought to herself. "I will have to find a fitting tribute. Perhaps one or two of my pets. I am sure the goddesses will like them, I know I do. Let's see. Not Jill, she was an unrulely one, never was able to tame that one, though untamed can be fun too...
Heather is not a pet, so she is out, but perhaps I will bring her to the temple one day. Hmm most of the others have moved on once they become independant. I guess it will have to be just chocolate for now. Chocolate in three forms. One form is cake, because I do love chocolate cake. Another in liquid, the most devine liquid Chocolate Milk (in shake form if preferred, like I do). And the last is combined with peanutbutter in the form of Buckeyes (a chocolate/peanutbutter treat to die for). I hope these gifts will please them
Calling for Amanda she commands. "Have the pets gather up a large collection of chocolate cake, chocolate milkshakes, and Buckeyes. Take them to the Temple and make sure they know that these are from me. If they wish you to stay, do so, but otherwise return here quickly and do not disturb them." Mytical smiles and playfully tugs on Amanda's collar. After she lets go Amanda smiles and heads off to do as asked.

I will have to think on that one. There are a few pests that might warrent a slow lingering death. It has been a long time since anybody visited the temple. I had given up hope that anybody ever would. So, where are the others so I may properly show respect?

Whoever drinks of the bottle will become a toad for 3 days. Beware that it smells like sewer water, so make sure to rob any potential target of their sense of smell before offering them the drink.
