i never use it ( i use the wog one instead) so i havent even thought about it and yes, this is strange, when i activated tew IV mod, the quick combat option had been turned on. i know i havent touched it, so it must be the mod.

Well,I am ready again with the map,this time much faster.
Defeated Maximus m12w4d1,surprizingly to me I am ready before the end of 12th month!
MoW rocks-I defeated Pyre without the evil elemental quest.
The next I am going to try MoS.

Salamandre,are you in the mood of posting some saves of yours with MoS for players to see?
I play MoS now and I am trying to beat Gerwulf.(I am slow again,but plan to compensate it with later speed)

So, how do you even complete the 1st escape part - I can't outrun that prison warden who chases you with 3 archangels and I can't beat him either. He always catches me when I board the ship.

Under your nose there is a quest guard leading to admiral hat. Wear it when boarding...

Uh oh, this is somewhat annoying that the utopia gives the shields and other artifacts after the 1st completion, unless there is a way to destroy artifacts in (can t find an artifact sacrifice altar), you will run out of room.
Other than a minor annoyances here and there, it s a great mod, virtually endless, you have already near-impossible battles. I went back to kill of Pasis with like 100ArchDevils...I did win, but it was amazingly difficult, I needed to hit 1 archangel 5 times with a ~20 AD stack LOL and I lost 14 ADs in that fight -.-

You will find Artifact Merchant near 3rd hero in a town, which is very soon.
But if you're with 100 Arch Devils at Pasis... he's only first from about 50 heroes to beat, you know?

You should have exactly 8 weeks before Pasis attacks you(the quest gard is asking for 8 angels)so normally you cant have 100 ADs when facing him.
And its in your very interest to attack him ASAP!
Longer you waste your time,harder it gets afterwards.

It is nearly impossible to beat even Pasis. Altho he only has 3 of those blue arch angels, the mechanics are a bit weird, I can't slow them, I can t cast spells on them and they are moving like Harpy Hags, attack-noretal-retreat and on top of it all, Pasis casts Meteor Shower alllll the time which is just annihilating me.
I tried to attack that Damacon character at half year in the game or so - Just not possible lol - He has no army compared to mine, he has lesser stats, less mana, but I am losing lol.

That's because all enemy stacks are fully experienced by default in this map. Notice the two swords on the bottom-right corner of unit pictures.

looom,you should read the 54 pages from the start and you should visit also the mapforheroes site,where are many comments about this map to get the idea how you have to play.

Here's a question though. I cannot see any of the special features in the game - when you press the Crown button you get the bar at the top of the screen with all sorts of things on it, but whichever I click, I only see the regular kingdom overview no matter what. I installed the mod exactly as instructed, why isn't it working 
Nevermind : I reinstalled ERA+TEW on a clean copy of the install and it works now
Also what is this mapforheroes you speak of? Can I have the link plz
