Take that Behemoth conversation for example, I still think it hasn't reached a conclusion. Or the Sanctuary one. We're just jumping from one thing to another

Very well. Tell us about factions, creatures, abilities, mechanics and balancing.

Ooh, I just thought of something else that hasn't been done a lot is a campaign where you play both sides in alternate missions.

DoubleDeck said: Still, I preferred the whole finishing one campaign to unlock the next campaign (like H5 and before)...that way the story can follow a chronological timeline...
Someone might argue that it'll be too linear then.
And if it had more storylines (like in H6) then that wouldn't be good either cuz it's not chronological, and you might miss a thing or two.
Can we stop whining over silly things please? There are other things that deserve more attention than this...
Well, I'll say that, like doubledeck, I also prefer to play the campaigns in a chronological timeline.. But this isn't a whining. lol
For H6 it would be cool if you could unlock a "story mode" campaign at a certain point. But ofc, it would be even more cool to have some bugs fixed. =S

Well.. do you like the Sanctuary from Elvin's post? Tell us what you think of it's tactics, creatures, enviroment, your likes and dislikes etc...
Personally I like that Chess feeling when it comes to it's tactics. I like the Kirins and Keshins and I really don't get the other creatures, especially the medusas and.. yetis!? I'm ok with it's enviroment, though I think that underwater fortress looks stupid, why do you need walls when you can swim behind them?

Honestly, I really need to play DOC and use these units before I can come up with an opinion on their abilities. Here's what I can say.
I don't like the yeti, and the multi-tailed fox I normally associate with fire, not ice, though since they got the fox in there they should give it some kind of deception ability. A shape shifting ability maybe? I don't know.
I certainly have nothing against the environments with the exception of the cold units. Yes Naga are the water faction, but still they are reptiles, they don't like cold. Maybe dwarfs should have the cold units.
What I would really like to see in the Nagan lineup is a certain creature from the same Indian lore as the Naga. Apparently, I cannot say what this creature is as it would put Ubisoft in a tricky legal situation. What I can say, is that this unit would be the warrior of raw and fast attack power you use when all of the more subtle Nagan tactics fail.
If I could, I would suggest the creature over the phone, or sign a wavier if that is what it took to see this mighty beast in the line up. Then again I don't know why this powerful monster wasn't with the Naga to begin with.

That would be awesome!
Seriously Elvin, is there anyway Ubisoft can use our suggestions without putting itself in legal trouble? We have some good ideas here.

Thanks, they're the only two weapons I know of that are virtually unique to the sub-continent, pretty much all the other weapons to come out of India are similar to weapons used elsewhere (unless you count daggers, which I wouldn't in this setting).

Why would there be legal trouble? Are mythological units or Indian weapons trademarked? The dwarven berserkers in H5 wielded katar daggers and the H6 stalkers were chacram throwers.

That looks like a sissy weapon for a bad@ss multi-armed naga.. It wouldn't cold a candle to the H3 naga queens.
I'd much rather see it on a different unit.

Very sinuous too, which makes it even more apt.

Low-damage, yes, but given a length (historically) of 4 to 6½ feet it certainly out-ranges the swords. Hells, that might be its unique ability, striking at creatures just outside of melee range.

What if the naga was a mage?

Sure, I'd like to see that. Should the naga return it is likely they will follow the Tibetan theme so they would be more Indian-based. Ps the naga are not strictly Indian even if they originate in it. I have seen naga mentions in Japan.

Maybe, but I think that I personally would prefer an Indian-Tibetan mix to an Indian-Japanese one.

Nagas would need a mix of "hinduism" (snakes) and "buddhism" (dragons). Not trying to be too religious here.
